Hello guys.... There is an argument please... What is an ideal rental fee to deliver when you a have a sound saloon car from Monday to Saturday... Sunday off. Please candid response..... Thanks

So Uber has increased their price. This is the beauty of competition. I can tell you authoritatively that Uber Nigeria was coming under intense pressure from their corporate head office. They reduced price in the hopes of getting more customers and they did increase their customer base for a while, but over the last 2 months Taxify has been crushing them. Due to long wait times before a driver gets to you, many riders where switching in droves to taxify. To make matters worse, Taxify was matching them promo for promo. They had no choice but to increase their fares.same with me... Hitting the road by Wednesday latest

It will be interesting to see how Taxify will respond. My guess is that they will hold on a bit on matching Uber they will probably increase a bit. Taxify still needs to differentiate themselves from Uber, and they will hope that lower prices will retain their customers. The question is will drivers remain.?

As for me, i hit the roads next week. I have not driven in 5 months, waiting patiently for a time like this. I will use this week to round up all my businesses and hit the roads next week. Let see if we can hit pre-price reduction fare earnings of 400k per month.

I have experienced a lot from riders over a year. This has not happened to me before. She didn't even notice I was boiling inside. I let her go and went to clean my car. I reported so that taxify will know what their drivers are facing on the road.

uber has an option when u report... RIDER MESS UP MY CAR. I think dey will pay a compensation for that after reviewing

I hope police no dey worry for headlamps o.... These guys dat pimpp my ride have changed the headlamps from normal halogen to xenon (white). Anyone with an idea biko?

No need asking riders destinations over the phone. I drive down to the place and ask the rider his destination face to face before starting the trip. If you wanna go to that destination, politely explain why. My line is "I live close by and I am about to close for the day, I'm sorry I can't go that far right now". Communication and politeness is key though.

If that destination is not ok by me i just cancel the trip, go offline like ten minutes then go online. (Happens once in a while sha)

My case is different, they blocked my account for 3 weeks for customer complaints i believe an app issue caused. I no kuku bother myself, they still kept sending me messages to go online. I used the opportunity to take my car for another oven baking. They have unblocked me without me even stepping a foot in their office. I no kuku like plenty tori before

Taxify asked me to come to their office last week cos my rating was dropping meanwhile never had any issue with any rider, i noticed the following...

1. Very poor organisation as office space got crowded
2. Poor customer service
3. A guy was accused of requesting himself and his excuse was that he had to take he's sick wife to hospital. He even had hospital bills as evidence. Please what has his sick wife got to do with making request on Taxify?
4. One guys account was blocked so he said he sent a text to Femi saying before Taxify was begging us to come on their platform now that they have lots of drivers they have started to misbehave. Later when I saw the guy and asked how far, he said he's account has been deactivated permanently.
5. A guy got a request close to Taxify office few days before and was luck not to have asked for destination cos his riders were four Taxify staff who told him two previous drivers just got blocked for asking them destination.
6. A guy just started and was using a Tecno phone and just 3 trips he had made 15k (not long trips oò), we told him to enjoy while it last cos Taxify will soon block him.
7. A guy's rating was low cos he said before he allows any rider into his car he will ask the rider "what's your name", most get annoyed with him but he was doing it for his own safety.
8. Taxify has got drivers on their platform who are informants
9. A guy said he told a female rider he does not allow riders seat behind him late at night and the rider said she has the right to seat anywhere she likes...really argument.

The only time i accepted mile 2 to badagry one night i regretted it, cos of the death/bad pot holes. last trip. 5k plus but d next day the same guys arranged for an offline trip to ikorodu and i collected 11500 for dat. funnily my house is along badagry express, just after federal government college. But i don't go there, except my rest days. I start work from ogudu/ojota.

There are some destinations that are a big NO NO for me.

What's the issue about the toll, why worry? When it's favoring drivers most times. Even some time ago i noticed uber charge for the non functional/2nd toll when you going to ajah...i dont know if they have stopped it, but after passing thru the first and the 2nd then, when i check i always see 240. That's 120 each. Meanwhile, i hope they have updated the new toll fares....?

this double tool fare has happened to me times without number. It even happened sometime ago when I passed ikoyi link bridge. 500 naira toll fare instead of 250 naira.

Funny enough..the one that trips me is when riders will call and be shouting "where are you" only for you to be in front of their location..lol

They are always like that, but i always stay calm and respond professionally. And when they see my calm look they automatically become calm too, some bring up gist unnecessarily, especially after seeing my twin koboko and bold airforce sticker. Lol

4. The driver must be living around Surulere, Mushin, Oshodi, Isolo, and their environs
5. You must be honest, reliable, responsible and hard working (no story will be entertained)

Asking riders for directions sweet...cos most of them know their area well so they will give u the fastest route (faster than google maps)...and its a win win for both parties

riders always happy to give directions... They feel they have total control of the trip. With Google map and riders in less than 3 months. I can connect from anywhere to anywhere. Lagos is so small. Mind u, u can't know all the streets in lagos, even tinubu doesn't. Let the riders take charge when u get around their area....
