I gave up wen i spent over 6 hrs in d trafic at majidun during that election eve. Infact, invited my parent over to my house yesterday. They left ikorodu 9.30am got to my place around 7pm. That yesterday trafic mad ehn.
shola that yesterday traffic at ikorodu road i was a victim. I suffered. My worst day on this job. Spent 5 hours on the trip. 2nd trip of the day from 3pm to 8pm uber

Typically i explore anywhere if it's a long distance on weekends cos getting a trip out wont be an issue.
Drop a pastor at abule egba and got another trip again.

Me:destination ma?
Rider:ikorodu.
Me:ok hold on..
Quickly check d fare estimate 3800 to 4k+. Check ETA: 1hr 40. Well not bad i thought.
I should get a trip back asap...

5hrs. Trips 6k
Rider was even calling till 11pm to. Check if i hv gotten home.

Both going in and coming out.
Cause of traffic: road maintenance.

For the first time i had to be doing trips within ikorodu. And trips were coming.

Around 11pm i said lemme leave this place. Got to
Agric and set destination. Got one to the street next to my house, rider put a wrong pick up and couldn't explain, got frustrated and cancled.

11.30pm i check ETA to my house 1hr50mins.

12.15am
With one mind i hit the road. Luckily the LRU response bike and trucks were going for a rescue. Na so i followed them one way drive with siren.
Got out in less than 35mins.

I can't live in ikorodu. Maybe if they build the 4th mainland bridge. One way in and out. No alternative route.

Nonsense

Some of them bad riders dey look face o.
Was at ajah late yesternight and I got a trip to Int'l airport, they were 2 ladies and we got along pretty good. They even said it's been a while they met a nice driver b4, until we picked there friend around ikoyi. (She was just seeing them off o)
That one started by saying "oga increase your a.c. abeg", I did that without talking.

As i headed for oshodi to link int'l airport na him this babe start to dey rant "why will you follow here, why not follow opebi, Ikeja side, 'which kain thing be this"

I was like are you normal at all? Do u even know Lagos? Do u know road?. I just parked rake for her wella.
The other ladies had to beg me that she don smoke. I said no wonder.
The day i picked someone from ogudu ojota going to GRA. All route were free and the best is Maryland then Oduduwa way that she was going. Took the interchange and face Maryland madam was asking: why are we here? Are we not going to follow 7up toll gate area. Thats part of ikeja and i have followed there once bla bla bla
Me: i am sorry we have no business there. Ur trip is 9km. If i take u pass there it means we are going back and the navigate thru to GRA, ikeja is broad.
Rider :hmmm

I still see her on my street from time to time, na so she go carry face like wetin i no know

There was traffic under those trees by the sports ground at gbagada, when coming from the express.

Next thing I heard was the breaking of the back glass and somebody shouting give me your phone and bag. My rider threw her bag to the front and they collected her phone.

Another guy came to the front, broke the front window and asked me for my own phone, there's one bad phone I keep in the car which I gave them before they left
the advantage of not hanging ur phone. I am so sorry brother. Being a victim of glass smash too, twice gan. Story for another day.
Hey. You see you are not safe even if u wind ur glass up.
May God always lead

She Finally shows up, I wan start car she say make I wait someone is bringing something for her, I'm like come on
She say you can start the trip
I said no I'd rather not, just hurry up
Then she says she's going to Sango
I say whaaaaatttt, mba, I no go, while thanking God I hadn't started the trip.
I think sharply and say I can only go as far as abule egba,
She says its lets go
But now my sixth sense is tingling, I change my mind... Tell her you know what, I'm not going at all, call another ride,
She says her phone is dead she can't request another ride
in her front, I cancel for rider behaviour, enter help and refunded her cancellation fee
She says okay let me follow you to the road
I say in my very polite English, I'm sorry but since I've cancelled the trip I'm not obliged to take you so please step out

Madam no wan gree come down
Next thing request enter, from her, I ignore
Madam kuku come down

I loud my Methodman Zoom off... As I turn off her street I see her ride coming, I laugh for my mind, next thing talalalan... Another request

tough guy.....
If u even start the trip, realize the destination is no go area then can end it immediately and it wont count, provided u didn't move up to 50meters. Both uber and bolt

It’s like most Uber/taxify drivers take poo. Got to pickup point at Ago-palace way. This lady came out. Said I’ll take her to Ido market and come back. I ask her hope we won’t wait too long at d market. She just got angry. That I’m d first driver to ask such question. That she can keep a driver waiting for 2 hours. It’s her money counting. I just ask her to go down that I can’t wait. She came down and I canceled d trip. Immediately another request came in and She was was going to Ajah. Some riders are making this job get frustrating. If u do legit, they look down at u. If u decide to do otherwise, they worshipped u.
If there is a place to park at market, and her return trip is like a reasonable distance like island to mainland and back. I will wait. Last time i did that was lekki to yaba and back. I got 8500. Everything did take more dan 4hrs plis it was 3% uber. Did waste fuel too.
Politics / Re: NUPENG, NNPC Meeting To Avert Strike, Fuel Scarcity by slamstanlee(m): 10:13pm On Aug 02, 2019
Naijafull19:

Let's start by pointing out that for over 10 years , 80% of the fuel we use in Nigeria has been imported (and even if our refinereis were working at full capacity...the last one was opened in 1988...since then the populaiton and car and generator usage has jumped up).

1.In 2012...price of fuel was N65, landing cost //import cost was N99 per liter...and rising . Sunsidy was n33 per liter

2.Government in 2012 proposed raising the price to N140, which would end subsides, enabling the savings realised to be used for other things. Meanwhile, the profits earned could be reinvested in the fuel industry...leading to new refienreis, among other things (At least 3 new refienreis were in the idea stage, as was Dangote).

3.Nigerians said no.

4.Government reduced prices to N97...meaning subsidy payments were N2 per liter (as at 2012). The N31 per liter saved was used for things like SURE-P .

5.However, import costs kept on rising , till by 2015...it was N132 per liter to import one liter of fuel. Meanwhile , fuel was N87 per liter. And due to falling oil prices ($30 by 2016 January), Government was finding it diffuclt to pay subsdies which had jumped up from N2 per liter in Feb 2012 to N50 PER liter in 2015.

Let's let that sink in for a moment.

Oil prices 2012: $100 and above
Import cost of one liter of fuel Jan 2012 : N99 per liter
Cost of fuel N97
Subsidy : At least N2 per liter

Oil prices 2016 : $30 per liter
Import cost of one liter of fuel Jan 2016 : N132 per liter
Cost of fuel N87
Subsidy : N45 and above.

Note that fallign dolalr revenues were having an impact on the value of the naira as well...hence the rise in import prices despite the fall in crude oil prices....we no longer had the dollars to raise the value of the naira...so the naira fell.

6.Government of Bubu raised prices to N145, ending the subsidy temporarily (you will soon see why I say that)....and saving some cash.

7.By 2018....

Oil prices $60 and rising
Import cost of fuel : N180
Cost of fuel : N145
Subsidy: N35 and above.

So, either

1.Buhari continues with the status quo...which is hard...especially as oil prices at their current state are not enough to raise enough revenue for Nigeria (Nigeria needs oil at $139 per barrel as at 2018.....to run a budget WITHOUT BORROWING).

2.Buhari stops subsidy, and saves N2 trillion naira yearly (which is the aprpoximate estimate of what we spend subsidsing fuel)>
I laugh. Google NNPC fraud. Again read about why our refineries are not working then come back lets discuss

We are still struggling because we insist on price controls for the petroleum industry.

Basically, fuel is supposed to be costing N200 and above per liter. But government forces marketers to charge N145 and pays the difference between that and the actual price which varies from month to month depending on the world oil prices

As a result, the oil compnaies cannot make a profit (and result to making false subsidy claims because that's the only way they can earn enough cash...also smuggling)...and this means that

1.We cannot build more refienreis, and maintain exisiting ones adequately..because who is going to sell refined products like petrol below production costs?

2.We cannot attract foregin investment because no one wants to come and find it hard to make a profit.

3.Jobs are scarce, and oil companies like Chevorn have to sack workers to keep their heads above water.

The solution is simple. Remove subsidy, allow prices to rise and fall according to the market. If it hasn't devastated the economies of Benin , Niger and Cameroon who pay N300 and above per liter of fuel...I doubt it would affect our economy.

To anyone who wants to abuse me...if you are running a business, and you buy things at N2000 and you want to sell at N2700 making a profit of N700, and government comes in, forces you to sell at N1800 and pays you N150 as subsidy, would you agree?

That is how we have been treating our petrol sector...and that is why we have issues with supply, and jobs.

The one they remove and price changed from 97 to 145 nko.
Explain biko

On rider App you can even go back and re-rate drivers. Check it with a rider. U will see do you want to modify ratings or something

I don't think u can rate a trip that was canceled

Sure you modify if you rated a driver.
But if you didn’t rate at all, or ignored rating, then attempt to request another ride. There is no option to go to trip history to rate unrated trips.... Its all gone. Sometimes i am a rider.

So i chupped my first 1-star on uber today.
Picked rider from Office Marina to passport office.
Rider started making mouth dt he has ehailing experience had a car for rentals on uber but when stories plenty he collected d car and sold it.

Got to ikoyi and d immigration guy came to car and all. Sha

I was to take him back to Marina
All of a sudden rider said I will end dis and he will request again.
Me to tired to explain I said okay.
End ride 981N
Rider: it's going to another driver
Me:try again
Rider: same thing, wat should we do now.
Me: don't worry we'll do offline
Rider: how much
Me: 1st leg 981 so back 981N too
Rider: okay
Got to Marina, rider gave me 2k cash I gave him 100N change.
Right in my front he gave me 1star
Rider : you know I can change destination and u didn't tell me.

I just gentle.
Lol. I don't understand. The only time he would have been able to rate you was just after the first ride, just before he was to request again, the rating thing pops up.
So if he tried and got another driver then that rating thing shouldn't pop up again after the offline trip
