^^ "our oil" depicts the idiosyncratic thought pattern of some people. And as long as Nigeria stands as one, you may have a hard time proving them wrong. And FYI, I am a complete Igbo from Imo State. Go ask the Eze Igbo of Nairaland, His Royal Highness, EzeUche0 or his cabinet members, Andre Uweh, Udezue, etc. |
It's sexy when a man thinks. Keep it up.
. . .And natural when a woman doesn't. Keep being natural. |
Congrats to the winners; it doesn't mean they are better than the others. |
leke999:Your fleet indeed! Lol! |
^^ I think you are being selfish. If you are an actress or a musician, I bet you'll be singing a different tune. |
I disagree with Mr. Ishiekwene where he appeared to imply that leadership may not really be our problem. No matter how vast Nigeria is, good leadership can nip our developmental problems in the bud. For instance, it will take a good leader to create regional central banks and EFCC, state policing and power generation. Talking about division, it still takes a leader with balls to take such step. It will be difficult, nay impossible to divide Nigeria because we are dependent on oil as our source of revenue. How do we expect the people that will find themselves without oil to survive? Who will have the oil? Niger-Deltans alone? No sir! It is OUR oil! Until we bring back the era of the groundnut pyramids, tomatoes and onions of the North, the cocoa, latex and rubber of the West, the oil palm, yam, garri and rice of the East -- until we encourage productivity in general and give every region (or unit) a reason not to always think, eat, dream and speak oil -- we still have to be "one Nigeria", grudginly or not. |

. . . .Give us this day, our daily bread. . . |

Ironically, some of us whose parents are not politicians wouldn't mind having 'son of a corrupt politician' written all over their body, so long as the cash flows. The rich kids that are ashamed don't know what they have until they lose it, the poor ones don't fully understand what they're missing until they have it. It's all about individual morality, I believe. |
naijaking1:You need not imply that the Igbo are the only people that makes this mistake. |
Are recent Nigerian movies not 'pirating' themselves? |
redsun:Wetin kill fish no go kill man. |
Talk is to talk and fish [whale] is to chop. Make una dey dia. |
Can't really guess why this is on the front page. It's either Seun knows the poster/the story. . .Or he wants to mock MTN, the Money Thieving Network. As for me, I'm about getting a Glo line to enjoy the Glo Infinito. |
To talk or not to talk is not the question. To do or not to do is. And the order should be extended to other zones, not just the SE. |
ola olabiy:The second. [His act]. |
ola olabiy:I actually considered this. Thanks. |

Hmmm . . . the ladies are having a ball. No big deal, will open my own shop soon. Keep enjoying urselves. . . |
fstranger:Matters not. Thanks for correcting my mistake. We dabble in and out of solecism now and then. At least, Opabukun has proved that. However, your attack on Mediatrix8 was unprovoked and rude. |
Oh, boy! Yeah, u gotsa go, for real!!! lol Kidding!
Lol. Now I'm learning you 'hate' the Igbo just for the fun of it. |
fstranger:Are you on facebook? Do you wear made in Naija clothes and shoes? This is the silliest post I've read in a long while. Nairaland is for Nigeria and friends of Nigeria. If you don't like it, log out forever or open your own forum. What a damn rascist! |
I MAY not give my password to my gf, but I'll certainly give it to my wife if she asks for it, though I won't be needing hers. But I don't hope to be involved with a person that makes a mountain out of a mole-hill. |
This is just chasing shadows. The same illiterate, trigger-happy, twenty-naira-addicted, unprepared, clueless, helpless, 'weaponless', tactless, brainless tom and jerrys with the lowest level of orientation in policing will be transfered to other states under news squad names to continue from where they stopped. If you sell a monkey and buy a dog, you still have an animal that squats in your house. |
denony:Is this supposed to be a plus for Nigeria? |
This would have been provocating if it were mendacious, but it's not. Since it's the truth, it should be taken as a call for moral ablution. |
stevetboy9:Did I 'chopulate' your ponmo? |
ola olabiy:I'll go with the second one. [Nigerian]. |
ola olabiy:The first sentence is correct.[results] |
If his prophecies have proven to hold water then he should be taken seriously. But of course our politicians obviously have 'better' things to worry about. |
They are the governor's thugs. You can't believe the criminal activities those boys effect in that town. Every year every shop, kiosk, okada-rider, taxi driver, etc, in Aba pay them N500, aside the regular, criminal levies they impose at will. Worse still nobody questions them when they butcher innocent people for nothing. The people's resolve to live under continuous injustice is responsible for their backwardness and, ironically, their 'unity', too. |
