I will consider ibo president on 2 conditions:
-provided he won't repeat what happened in 1966. . .you know the biafra agitation thing.
-provided he won't sell nigeria to the highest bidder.
The main reason for the agitation was the percieved segregation/delibrate underdevelopment of the Igbo group(south east). Now, an Igbo president would address those issues with developing the region, not agitating for Biafra which, at the end of the day, might be an exercise in futility. Personally, I am not pro-Biafra.

What is the difference b/w what the present crop of leaders are doing with the nation and selling it to the highest bidder?! Corruption, my dear, is the highest bidder, and we've been sold out, FYI. So don't bandy that stereotype stuff about the Igbo and money. . .remember how OBJ's 3rd term agenda was botched, do you sincerely think that if David Mark had occupied that seat when Ken Nnamani did that OBJ's agenda wouldn't have pulled through?

So releasing the money to governors equals "blowing away"? Has not the call for the sharing of that money been on during the late Yar'Adua's reign? Cheap, tenuous, propagandist strategy! Better go and ask your governors what they did with their share of the money.

Beaf:
At this moment in time? I'll rate him at 1/10, but that doesn't mean he has no future, it depends on how he plays his cards and uses his mouth. If he does it Atiku style, there will be no future for him.
I cannot fathom why he left PDP, because reform is best carried out from the inside after grabbing power.
He could still have a strong political future, perhaps by bidding for the senate and building links to undo the damage he has done to himself by looking impractical and amateurish in his current presidential bid.
On a sensibility scale of 10, I'd rate your comment 10.1, bravo ! We're both saying the same thing from different angles, reason being that we don't play a politics of the future but of the now. So for Duke, it's R.I.P, for now!
Politics › Re: Labour Party Denies Donald Duke’s Membership by slap1(m): 4:28pm On Sep 04, 2010
Beaf:
How do you mean? Can you clarify?
Afam's post answered that. Duke has left PDP and the party has left him. The party controls his home state so I don't know where he's gonna start mobilizing for his new ambition. Now I don't mean he's lost popularity amongst his people, NO! But, Beaf, in all sincerity, on a scale of 10, where will you rate Duke's political life?
