Ostrich, how long would keep hiding your head in the sand. Blaming others for everything is not what leaders are made of. Obama met a country in recession, he didn't go about blaming the past leaders, he went to work!!!.

I always knew a 73yr old had nothing to offer in a very dynamic 21st century. May God help us
Politics / Re: Caught In Employment Scam - CBN Explains "Secret Recruitment" by sleek29(m): 11:27am On Mar 17, 2016
This has always been the norm na, why is it news anyway, if you don't know anybody you can't work in CBN. A very well known fact!

Even when you go through the normal recruitment process and even pass the interview you are asked to get a letter from an influential Nigerian a la politician before you can be employed and it happens in all juicy Government agencies, parastatals etc.
Education / Re: Medical Students To Spend 11 Years In Varsity − NUC by sleek29(m): 7:19pm On Mar 14, 2016
Is it about the number of years or the quality of the training. Nigerian universities are an apology compared to other countries' universities even west African universities!

improve on the quality and not the number of years.

ichidodo: SON OF A DISGUSTIN PIG, GBEGIRI ATI EWEDU-EATIN JOBLESS YERIBA AGBERO. DIRTY AND ENVIOUS RACE. THE IGBOS WILL CONTINUE TO GROW AND DOMINATE THE YERIBA RACE, IF U DONT LIKE IT U can ALWAYS DO THE AWO-OLE (SUICIDE)

Dominate who, you are so funny, how many ibos are among the richest black people in the world? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_billionaires
Look making good money aint about selling spare parts or duping people or like one living close to me claims he sells batteries, business aint about sharp practises, Ibos are what they call petty traders who have no business acumen, people over rate their industrious nature, imagine a dangote investing money to build cement plants and ibeto just importing? All ibos do is import and sell, they clearly killed the export nature of the nigerian economy in the 60's, groundnuts in the north and cocoa in the west, imagine Oba Otudeko who strived hard to be toyota's rep in naija would have his business crushed by ibos who bring in sub standard spare parts from china, ibos go to china and deliberately ask for substandard produce just to cheat, that's why no ibo man would be recognised, why achebe despite his literary prowess has no Nobel prize. Business is not about looking for ways to cheat, that's plain cowardice. Even an ibo man who happened to be an engineer in my office didn't want to buy electrical fittings from and ibo man because he knew it would be substandard. You people need to change. Damn!

What inferiority complex ? The last people that suffers inferiority in nig context are the igbos . Why re u trying to marry a supperior igbo girl ? Are there no more yoruba girls? Inferior in what aspect ?is it in business, is it in education, is it in looks, is it in bravely, industrous , igbo sense , riches, sophistication ,name them, currently politically igbos are better of hence the reason yorubas crying of marginalisation under GEJ. Igbos walk with their shoulders up in nigeria because we have done unimaginable with 20 pounds and we continue to march on and no body will stop.

Business, Dangote (Hausa), Adenuga (Yoruba), Otedola (Yoruba) Deinde Fernandez (Yoruba), please read forbes magazine, you know why you won't see Ibos there?, simple because their source of wealth is always shrouded in mystery. Education (the south west's level of education is way past what Ibos dream of, ekiti state has the highest no of professors but a school like ESUT produces graduates who don't know the capital of any 3 states in nigeria), bravery( your warlord ran away, killed 2 children and then came back to beg, that's lower than cowardice, looks (being yellowish and having yam hairy legs aint good), igbo sense (scamists), sophistication (the only way to spot an ibo boy or girl is if you find someone wearing too many bright colours)

ak47mann: The truth is out nigerians are shaking in there pants cool we knew this long time ago but nigeria people want to believe all the lies that was planted in them, well your time is up time to face reality this is 2012 coolmiddlebelt have regretted fighting a sovereignty state like BIAFRA i have see many of them that says to me they regretted it,my reply to them that gowon have sold there man date with the northern oligarchy that is why flani still kill tivs and berom tribe on a regular basis and nobody says a word about it,even newspapers dont carry it as major news these days..

My last word to them was they should not let anyone tell u that ur dreams don't comes through, dont let anyone take away your dreams, life is what you make out of it, BIAFRANS had choose their own part, if it doesn't exist bring it to existence cool

I would be the happiest person on earth if I wake up one day and find that all ibos have left lagos and are gone for good, that would be the best news ever. Please grant this leeches, who can't stay and develop their land. The only reason why Ibos can't stay in Biafra and do business is simple. How can a tortoise dupe a fellow tortoise?, the simply move to places where the Yoruba being very accommodating people and hausas being people with high business integrity. I seriously think we should let this people go, I am even now angry at Gowon and awolowo that made them stay.

Anyone who sides the victim (Ibos) is always on point? Ibos make me laugh always, always playing the victim. Hard for an Ibo man to even constructively criticize without being tribalistic, Ojukwu after leading Ibos to a war he had school boy plan, eloped crossed dressed as a woman and killed 2 children in the process, what would Ibos do, He's a hero!

Nope, yorubas are people who are so proud of their tradition that even slaves who settled as brazillians and cubans never lost the culture. Please tell me why there's no internationally accepted history of the Ibos. Foreigners are always in awe of yoruba culture and language that a woman named Susan Wenger became yoruba

igbos suffered greatly in civil war just to keep one nigeria, as a result igbos are living that one nigeria imposed on them however , in the event of dialogue to split , igbos will be glad to go period.

Please go! The only time I enjoy peace in lagos is in december, why?, they are all gone to their villages, when u get to the bus park, they park chairs, rice, and all sorts to the east and then the air in lagos is then so enough

Igbos are migratory in nature . even before the war igbos were every where in nigeria . Even overseeas igbos dominate . What do you also expect from the people who were given only 20 pounds to do business and support the family after the war? In order to survive , igbos moved again after the war to other parts of nigeria beleiving in one nigeria, to do business and make money since other tribes lack that business sense and it is paying off now because u can hardly see poor igbo family . Igbos will not leave their business in other parts of nigeria because we were forced in to one nigeria and we have to live that one nigeria. The bottom line is that you people are just jealous if igbo people acheivement esp in other parts of nigeria and you want us to abandon the estabilshments for yorubas and hausas . That will not happen at all if that is your dream unles nigeria splits. But for now in one Nigeria , igbos surge on irrespective of the location.

Jealous of Ibos, always playing the victim, if I was jealous of an Ibo man, I won't rent out my property to any of them. Ibos just suffer from inferiority complex, makes them act like the victim always

I am not surprise you re getting married to an igbo . Dont misunderstand me , there many soyinkas in yoruba land and majority of my friends in overseas are yorubas and one the that treat me well i retrun it. Marrying an igbo woman is blessing and a good investment . Some of my yoruba friends asked me to link them to igbo girls for marriage . So it is not new that a yoruba is marrying igbo girls . It is a common trend in Nigeria today . As long u re able to convince the igbo girl go ahead ; u need that elusive and valuable igbo blood man.

Your last statement is the same reason why I won't marry one, I hate the talk about ibos being better that every other, it really sucks, Look, I try to be objective before judging a situation, and I agree that awolowo's policies caused the starvation but I also agree that Ojukwu's egoistic tendencies made the situation even worse and after that escaped and left the Ibos to die, only to be accepted back in Nigeria. I am yet to hear any Ibo man talk objectively without taking sides, I remember when el rufai critisized the budget on anambra, he was labelled as insulting ibos.

In igbo culture ,the first money or riches you acquire is used to bulid a mansion in your village before building any house in the township be it in the west , or north or eastern townships . As i write , there is more villages in igboland as copmpared to other parts of Nigeria. The peolpe some of you -yorubas have is that you dont travel to other parts of nigeria . you mahe ur judgement based on what u heard . Go to east and see development . My friend who is a yourba went to east for youth service and was shocked . He confessed that from enugu to owerri he could not see a bush . What does that portends ? Answer is development. In the actual sense , igbos are the only people who beleive in one nigeria than any other tribes because they develop any place the dwell in nigeria and make it look like home.

If its so developed, I wonder why you visit once a year then, if the east is so developed, simply move back there, how hard can that be, the Jews were always persecuted and so they all moved back to israel, so move back to the east and begin the secession there.

icon aus: Enough of this yoruba claiming of being accomodative . If not for lagos , igbos would not have migrated to the west in good number . Have you people forgotten that Lagos was the capital of nigeria for yrs hence the migration of many nationalities to lagos including igbos being migratory in nature . To say the truth , the igbos are more in north than the west .The north are more easy to deal with and the most honest tribe in Nigeria to work with or do business with if not because of their religion ( Islam) which tends to mislead them some times . Igbos are in the west because of Lagos which happened to be the capital of Nigeria. Other tribes tends to avoid residing in the east because they cannot compete with igbos in business and other human endeavour . Not in terms hostility . igbos are not hostile to their visitors .They accomodate other tribes in the east . They dont attack them as long you stay and do your business. Even despite immense provocation by the northerners against the igbos residing in the North , igbos still keep calm and wouldnt reteirate in the east . The bottom line is that other nationalities esp yorubas are scared of coming down to east to invest because of cowardice .

Now that Lagos aint no longer the capital, I think yall can move your ass to abuja. Just do a survey of the region with the highest amount of non natives, then you'll know who is more accommodating. What Soyinka just said showed how objective yorubas can be. An igbo man would never see anything wrong in what a fellow igbo man does and its a fact. I agree that a genocide happened and awolowo somehow was culpable, but I want just one Ibo person to admit that Ojukwu played a huge part in the genocide. Ojukwu, Gowon and Awolowo caused the genocide, plain simple!

He retreated to fight again . If ojukwu was killed in the war, the igbos would not have recovered from the war so easily . no matter what u people say about ojukwu , he is our hero and the nigerian hero if people want to face the truth . He proposed confederation in nigeria ( Aburi accord) which led to civil war ; nigeria under gowon and awo said no , Now people esp the west is asking for what ojukwu said 45 yrs ago . There u re . He understands that with the moslem north ; nigeria as a country will not survive . Tell me what is happening now BOKO!. He lived ahead of his time .A man who saw tommorrow . Educated , inteligent , rich , smart and brave . No nigerian like him . He got every thing .

Name one great warrior who ran away, heard about the spartans?, despite them knowing they were losing, they kept fighting, that's honour! Running and coming back to beg is the highest point of cowardice, Achebe ran to the US, Ibos are so brave!, Mandela spent 26 years in prison and still held unto his struggle, Achebe is a coward for not having the guts to face Nigeria in Nigeria, Fela stayed here, Gani fawehinmi stayed, that's bravery to me. Ojukwu ran away, that to me sucks! And mind you I'm getting married to an Ibo woman

Ibos, supremacist tendencies, they want to secede yet they don't stay at home and develop their home, If the north refuses them food, they'll die of kwarshiorkor (they grow only yams), as long as biafra can't get yorubas to back them, till Jesus comes, biafra would keep deceiving itself, if they want another secession, I would propose another blockade, block all food supplies!, Achebe ought to make yorubas biafra's friend not create more animosity. Why do I need to throw a punch when I hold the ace? The only tribe that accommodates this ibos remains the same yoruba they so much castigate, an ibo man is fashola's commissioner, they enjoy free health care where I live in lagos!, I'm really angry, if they want to go, let them go!

Yes Nigeria didn't fight fair, but Ojukwu had zero military intellect, he ended up being disgraced and sent 3M people to their graves, how do you go into a war without proper study of how you intend to feed your people if you depend on 1. Nigerian airspace, 2. Nigerian waterways for your supplies, allies are very important, the least he could have done was to be sure he could count on cameroon, america wouldn't be able to do anything in the middle east if they don't have the likes of pakistan and saudi arabia. Fine Nigerian government lead my Gowon caused the genocide but Ojukwu is very much culpable for being all bragging and no planning

Soyinka is one of the rare nigerians who is not controlled by this. LONG LIVE TO YOU SOYINKA.

I suppose you also accept that Ojukwu was wrong in starting a war he knew he couldn't win, that his ego clouded his sense of judgement and that Achebe is wrong to just base his accusations on stupid sentiments (afraid of Igbo domination). One, it was wrong for Kaduna Nzeogwu and co to kill Tafawa Balewa, Sardauna and Akintola, it was wrong for the hausas to retaliate by killing igbos in the north, it was also wrong for Ojukwu not to employ other means other than war to achieve freedom (Mandela destroyed apartheid peacefully) and then it was in humane for the Nigerian Government led my Yakubu Gowon to employ the tactics he used to win the war and it was also wrong for Achebe to insinuate that the buck stopped on Awolowo's table knowing fully well that the Nigerian Government was not headed by him

Yoruba men who would build houses in lagos and rent same to 50 different and run away after collecting money from all of them for the same property?

After independence, Nigeria had a shaky start, we should have been left to grow our fragile democracy but what happened, IGBO military officers carried out an ethnic cleansing killing the SARDAUNA!!! And then they expected hausas to fold their arms?, the 'wise' IGBO military coup plotters tried made us believe that the President (Zik) and eastern premier escaped. Hmmm, they also killed the western premier, after that callous show of ethnic cleansing, the same Ibos expected yorubas to support them, we are not fools, maybe is the western premier had escaped too, the story might have been different. The hatred and distrust of Ibos by hausas started in 1966, how can you kill the sardauna and expect them to just forget, I just love the yoruba for being master strategists and not the bluffing ojukwu who had no clear plan to execute a war and ended up killing 3M+ people.

Officers agreed to carry out a coup, they were to kill premiers of the 4 regions, prime minister and the president, the president and the eastern premier escaped, and all others were killed, does that make ibos reliable, Awolowo only gave them a taste of their own medicine and I love him for that!

How can Nigeria's economy be growing when we still have increasing unemployment, imperialist countries most times come up with all sorts of reports to make us sell our birth right. The only true determinant of Nigeria's growing economy is its balance of payment. How many finished goods do we export, even as an oil producing state, exporting crude and importing refined products only employ the citizens of the countries we import from. How can the first lady of a country whose economy is growing be in a foreign hospital.

A growing economy would be true if and only if more jobs are created

Muslims are insecure, that's all I can say, the video insults the Prophet, fine, killing an innocent man because of this even makes islam look worse, sam bacile is egyptian, a copt, islam has a certain fear, what it is, they themselves would expose. Every single sermon in a mosque is 80-90% anti- western, a complete mockery of christians, and yet no christian is bothered, a movie that 90% of these bozos haven't seen has caused absolute madness. Now the question is IS ISLAM A RELIGION OF PEACE?, how can a peaceful individual lack self control, stupidly and overly emotional, for me islam condones violence, my opinion won't change. I used to be a muslim, now I hate religion and believe the notion that its the opium of the masses.
