ogbeniolola: Abeg I would rather make the 4 mistakes and marry a rich man's daughter than be a perfect person and get hooked up to a liability. need i remind you that they are not even married yet and marrying doesn't even guaranty anything....it will only make the guy a zombie in his home, why not work add and make a statement for yourself in your home....Please don't jump into a relationship for the wrong reasons....you will surely jump out the same way you jumped in! |

Now i see why relationships hit the wall early around here....i can only be surprised at the comments i read on NL, imagine the op talking about the guy's music career and all people could say is the guy's relationship with Otedola's daughter? What's the relevance? OMG As far as I'm concerned, op hit the nail...first, i agree pride dented the guy's career and his dress sense is -6 for rating. Sometimes he dresses like the fulani herdsmen!!! |

Gotohellosewa:

Always funny how Nigerians will shamelessly try and reap where they did not sow.
Someone who was born and bred in the United Kingdom and whose talent was discovered and nurtured in England has suddenly become "Nigerian"
I'm going to look for this guy's Instagram and Twitter accounts and send him pictures of the victims of Fulani herdsmen.
Let us see how eager he will be to identify with Nigeria when he see the true "picture" of what it means to live in Nigeria.
He's in a place where Nigerians are trekking across the desert to reach. If I were him I'd remain there. So because he was born and raised in England makes him more of a Briton than a Nigerian? Or would you say he is a Japanese? |

Atk1nson: Until Buhari came with "change", 10k USD was just approx 1.5M and with the effect of "change", it is 3.5M. Nothwithstanding, I maintain that if he is struggling to raise 10k, he may as well consider getting a managerial level job in a good company in Nigeria. If he earns close to that, he can still afford a very decent standard of living for him and his family. With a foreign masters and foreign relevant experience, he may be well positioned to get even better paying jobs.
Ma/sir, irrespective of light, security and e.t.c for you to say someone earning 5M is complaining, it shows you not been in Nigeria for a long time or the person telling you that is lying. Even in Victoria Island, anybody earning 5M monthly can get himself a nicely furnished serviced apartment and still take buy and build a his own apartment within 4-5years. please stop being insensitive....did you read the part he mentioned school? The wife graduated from a school, the husband too is battling with education.. Is that for free? What about the expenses in the house? Bills? You don't just run to the bank because she said she needed 10k without ironing out how to pay it back. A lot of us run into unnecessary debt because of things like this....So she just wants to start the business and gbam, the husband should allow her get a loan, just like that? What if the business doesn't thrive? Just what if...... The value of 10k dollars in US is definitely different from it's equivalent in Nigeria. Not a lot of people know this though! |

Romance › Re: It Is Wickedness To Date A Lady For More Than 2 Years Without Marrying Her– Lady by sleek82(m): 6:04pm On Jan 04, 2018 |
HungerBAD: She has a point.
To some extent she is right. If the guy is in that marriageable age,and he keeps moving the goal post forward,we can then consider that wicked.
But if somebody that is 19 yrs old, dates a lady for 2 yrs, i believe he still not ready in some instances to get married.
Lastly, why do women, especially Nigerian women view marriage as the crowning glory in their life?why do conversations with most women have to some how end up at the marriage corner? African mentality! Most people make the mistake that there is a certain age to get married or there is a certain age bracket to which if you are not married then there is something wrong somewhere. Please remember marriage is a lifetime decision, waiting for 5years, 10years or more before making such decision is in no way wrong. So many jump into it and jump out the same way they jumped in because they were never ready in the first place.....so many naija ladies are actually racing for the saturday event and not the lifetime commitment and so they dive into the sea without the proper clothing and then they start shouting right at the middle of the deep sea.....Just my 2cents though!!!! |

peacettw: Let me tell you something that no-one will ever tell you especially if not married... Give it time.... Time is your best friend now.... In 10 years time, you will look at your post and wonder why on earth you were concerned about your husband's behaviour. I can bet that half of your sufferings are based on what your young mind set is imagining now but as you age, your mind toughens as well and then you can sieve out the wheat from chaff and learn to be less irritated.
Until u attain that maturity, why don't you get urself busy.... If you are not working, engage yourself and do some online courses. Learn a skill.. For Christ sake, live your life, love yourself, OWN IT and stop relying on your husband to be your source of happiness. That should come from within and when you have attained that, believe me, nothing your husband does will ever irritate you ever again. And please quit complaining...Learn to be self sufficient emotionally.
I doubt if any of this will make sense now but trust me, as time passes, you will understand... this definitely sounds like a matured mind! Sometimes there is no problem anywhere, we create those problems ourselves and we still run around looking for solutions that lie within us already! |

Caprigal: Many men are naturally wicked and hypocrites. I say that with no remorse. So what if she is jobless or not contributing financially? The normal thing to do would be to encourage her to get proactive like a supportive partner instead of this obvious disrespect and wickedness. I bet if a woman decides to maltreat a man or flirt around because of the fact that he doesn't cook for the family or run after kids, everyone would converge to insult her not make excuses like they are doing here. Rubbish. @op, talk to him or ask a family member he respects to talk to him. I wonder how you ended up with such a heartless person in the first place. this response is one of the reasons i detest people bringing family matters to nairaland.....because people just give advices without applying logic to it and would just generalise! Because this lady is the first to run here for advice doesn't NECESSARILY make her innocent. Why not let her answer the obvious questions first or let's hear from the husband before we jump into conclusions? In the absence of the other side of the story, why not ask this lady what really happened? Did the husband just wake up to this attitude or there has been some flashes of such attitudes before wedding but she chose to go on thinking she would change him?....what if she doesn't bring anything to the table but still nags at the little the man brings? What if this man was forced to marry her by being pregnant for him or something similar? There are a billion and one questions we can ask her before passing blames or jumping into conclusions abeg! 2 years is just too early to start having such problems in a home! Divorce might not be the problem to this lady's problem....she might be the solution to her own problems!!! I am not in any way supporting this man but sometimes the solutions to our problems lie within us but we still run outside looking for help! I have tried to put myself in this man's shoes and i can't think of a reason i won't be proud of the woman i married....well that's me sha!! |

Let me make it clear that i am not a doctor but my first question to you is.....how did you know it's epilepsy? And if you are right, epilepsy is not a disease or sickness like most people think....it is just a form of seizure (doctors maybe able to explain it further to you) and a lot of things may be responsible for seizures...a lot! It could be brightness of light or other factors...you can read up on seizures or talk to a doctor (not on nairaland, go to a hospital). This is my little advice for you bruv |
