Suliemani isnt a terrorist but a trained high ranking Military General, he wasnt a fugitive as he travelled legally into Iraq and cleared customs and imigration.. what evidence does the US have on him and why wasnt he arrested if they can prove any allegation, why kill a career serving man who merely followed orders of his constituitionaly recognised President like similar US Generals and Army
If any of you naive people think this is any atrocities revenge and not US miscalculation then you guys are slow.. as the real Americans are panicking as we speak and US secetary of state had called almost all allies of the US from Germany to Uk
I laugh at some Nigerian Dunce thinking of sentiments of religion.... IRAN has strong backers in Russia and China and they craze war to show they are the new Heavyweight champions
*Disruption of oil supply in the gulf axis would spell doom for countries that finace it self on Oil revenue *A war with Iran would by extension force Russia and Chian to defend its asset in Iran *Iran, China and Russia already have naval ships in the meditaranian ships
. This is where alot of movie watchers come to spill their ignorance. If you ask some people why are they supporting the US against Iran, they will say Iran is evil, ask them for evidence, they'll say it's because US says so. |

daddytime: Bizarre world politics which most times than not is difficult to comprehend or explained to the undiscerning.
When strongman Saddam was in charge in Iraq, which is an extension of Iran by proxy due to the majority Shites there, he was accused of suppressing, oppressing and killing his people, and was condemned to the gulag.
Now that America has helped exterminate him, created a vacuum which the Iranians are rightly filling by reason of their numbers and regional clout, America feels they can stop them from taking foothold of Iraq.
America has successfully rendered Iraq just like Libya ungovernable, a battleground for years to come, and a front to settle scores in the middle east. The citizens will bear the brunt of it all at the end of the day.

The communist socialist government have been phenomenal. The level of development the communist party has done in China on every sector in the past 30 years have been astounding. Maximisation of everything.
Even the western civilisation is stunned. You just can't argue with the results.
Any party that can grow the country so quickly from utter poverty, to the greatest industrial power in the world deserves credit.
That is all I can say. You needn't say more. The Communist party remains a phenomenal force. |

musicwriter: Yet, most of you yell "conspiracy theory" when told that white people are not done enslaving Africa.
Shouldn't the national will of the Francophone African countries be how to liberate themselves from the grip of France on their CFA? How is it that people who said they're educated can easily switch from one slave system to another?
This's why I've lost respect for anybody on the African continent because I see nobody to respect. There's nobody living and thinking on the African continent at this time.
Can't the ECO be pegged on gold price or the Chinese Yen or even the South African Rand? Why always Europe, the same people known to enslave and exploit us? Europeans would never want development in Africa. The only thing they can do and they've always done is exploit, exploit exploit. This's why they killed Muamah Gadahdfi once he began talking seriously about a continental African currency pegged on gold. It would have definitely given us some financial freedom, so they killed him.
When will people wake up on this continent?
We will continue to be enslaved until we do one thing. If we ever want to be completely free from white people, we must go back to our native language, use it to acquire knowledge, and believe in our God. This's the only way to DISCONNECT ourselves from white people and stop creating perpetual slaves out of ourselves.
Isn't this enough reason for we Africans to come to our senses? We should learn from the Chinese and find a way to free ourselves from imperialists stronghold. Who ever knew how the Chinese would be as strong as they're now. |

Vortex369: Nigeria can not adopt ECO as long as France mints and controls the Treasury.
If the Federal Government is Smart, they will allow us to collaborate with China and mint prototypical exacts of the ECO Currency and get into these Francophone slave colonies and exchange them with Euro and bring back Euro to build our country. We need to flood their system with excessive ECO until they get hyper-inflation and increase taxes to mop up excess liquidity while we enjoy.
This is what Iran and China does to countries who think they are smart. Coming from a girl, you smart. The Chinese are the best powerful ally we can get as far as world politics. |

MycroftHolmes: Of course, China is a working nation(we can't deny that). A very lawful state where everything is accounted for. Only a few 'democratic' nations are as effective as China today. I know all these facts. Despite the citizens of many other nations deciding to choose China as their destination for both studies and tourism(like you stated), the hong-kongers have good reason to protest against 'being a full part of China'
Hong Kong was a British colony until 1997, after which it was returned to China under the "one country, two systems" arrangement. Under the agreement, Hong Kong is expected to have a high degree of autonomy from mainland China, and residents enjoy more freedoms than those on the mainland.
So, its not a question of if China has a working economy or not. It's rather a fact that hong-kongers will not be comfortable being under the 'useful' restrictions placed by the government to 'protect their internal politics', among other things.
Maybe the hong-kongers just like the freedom of visiting social media platforms like FB and twitter without having to use VPNs, or news websites like BBC. Or maybe they loathe the idea of using your national ID card to sign up for an email, or open a social media profile. OK you've seen the violence and vandalism that has been following the protests, tell me is it justifiable to destroy and vandalize public property because of that. Hong Kong's economy while being a strong one is facing rising inequality and a surge in housing rent. Is it part of freedom fighting to attack unarmed civilians and the police too? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Christmas Celebrations Ruined In Hong Kong by Slimpotter(m): 3:04am On Dec 28, 2019 |
MycroftHolmes: *No Social media freedom and all. *Having 170 million CCTV cameras around the country. Although this could help with fighting crimes, but citizens may feel watched everywhere, and hence caged. Finally, they don't have a democracy (from where many other restrictions could arise). Good point, but what restriction do they need? The party is as committed to improving the welfare of it's people, so any other thing doesn't matter. Again social media censorship shouldn't be compared to ours, because they're trying to prevent any foreign interference in their country's politics. if China is as caged as you say, why are millions trooping in as both tourists and students? And again, why must China follow the way the Europeans rule their country, must Chinese democracy follow their own way. |

grandstar: I meant the Chinese president not Li Keqiang.
Hong Kong is under China. The chief executive of Hong Kong is simply a puppet of the Chinese government. China, and not the chief executive have the final say
China presently seems to be presently shaping the future of Hong Kong and moving it from the Laissez faire economy it previously had. The market previously picked winners and losers but now China wants to influence that.
You already said it yourself that Hong Kong is under China, what is bad if the central government tries to influence the Hong Kong economy. Is the Chinese economy itself not prosperous? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Christmas Celebrations Ruined In Hong Kong by Slimpotter(m): 6:34pm On Dec 27, 2019 |
MycroftHolmes: There are other reasons for the protest, but this is one of them. There's a bill about to be passed that says "All court cases in hong-kong will be handled by the courts in China". And the hong-kongers don't want that bill to be passed because most of such cases are on 'disrespect to the Chinese government' or things like that. And if all criminals from hong-kong are tried in Mainland China, there is bound to be injustice and longer jail terms; plus the lack of freedom suffered by the citizens of China.
There is another reason concerning hong-kong being a full part of China after about 50 years. These are the main reasons for the protest.
You could research more for better facts... I know what you're talking about. first of all, the bill for extradition of Hong Kong prisoners to the mainland has been withdrawn months ago. Again, what do you define as lack of freedom. Are the Chinese citizens lacking personal freedom or political freedom? Are they not free on a personal basis? What type of freedom is that. |

Rapmoney: Many self righteous religious folks will not be happy with this. The day Christianity and Islam are allowed to thrive in China, that marks the end of the stability of the Chinese government. Like that marks the end of government's control over the country, because it would lead to division in leadership structure, and a country with such a population doesn't need that. |
Christianity Etc › Re: China Will Rewrite The Bible And The Quran To 'reflect Socialist Values' by Slimpotter(m): 3:56am On Dec 27, 2019 |
Dpharisee: Christians in China don't carry out violent acts against the state, even the Catholic church had to reach a compromise with the communist Govt by appointing only Bishops approved by China from a list of Priests submitted from Rome to the Govt to be vetted. But there are some in the church leadership who don't approve of this approach leading to some level of division and dispute in the church. There is still the underground church which faces persecution and not approved by the state, but they are not violent.
Uighur Muslims will not approve of this arrangement where only Govt vetted and approved Imams can administer mosques and lead the Ummah leading to continuing violent resistance. Some see it as attempt to dilute Islam. China in turn forcefully send the resisting Muslims to reeducation camps where they are forced to either renounce Islam or accept the version the state see as non extreme and under state appointed Imams.
All in all, religious persecution is common in China and economic prosperity is not helping matters, because the country is advancing in all spheres without every citizen going to pray for development in churches and mosques like we do here.
The Chinese also think that giving total freedom to Christianity and Islam will lead to infiltration and destabilization by the West and Arabs led by America and Saudi Arabia working together. This is someone that actually reads and knows what he's saying. Now I ask you, are the actions of the Chinese government wrong?. Let me get your view. |

grandstar: The present Chinese premier is simply too authoritarian. His kidnap of critics of the Chinese government from Hong Kong a few years ago unofficially ended the one country 2 systems or whatever its called policy. He's very intolerant of dissent and believes in the iron hand.
The people of Hong Kong aren't taking his iron rule sitting down. Worse, the present severe housing shortage has badly affected the lives of millions people using up to 70% of income on rents.
While a housing shortage exists in Hong Kong, ghost cities galore are abundant all over China. There's fund to built empty cities on Mainland China but not where a severe shortage exist.
An extra 1% on company tax of 16.5% to 17.5% and same 1% on income tax from 15% to 16% should provide enough funds to build new housing or the means to.
The big dependence on land sales to wealthy property developers yearly to fund part of the budget simply creates a strong incentive for the government to keep land prices artificially high. It's now worsened with the rise of cronyism in land sales which was previously absent under British rule So where did you copy this one from. what does Li keqiang have to do with the economic situation in Hong Kong, is he the chief exec of Hong Kong |

How do they reach the conclusion on categorizing all Muslims as being intolerant of the Christians? Do they mean the southern Muslims that have been coexisting peacefully with our Christian brothers are intolerant also?
Ain’t it ridiculous that countries like Saudi Arabia where there ain’t freedom of expression of religion and where people are killed in the savagely way due to the outdated shariah law are not termed intolerant? Why Nigeria this time!
On the issue of the Fulani terrorist herdsmen, everyone know those guys kill people for their grazing right and they don’t distinguish whether you’re Christian or Muslim. A Fulani herdsmen won’t ask for your religion before butchering you in your farm so where the bleep do the USA get their Islamization agenda from.
Buhari is a nepotistic leader, he is majorly doing something termed Northernization rather than Islamization. It’s just ridiculous to accuse him of Islamization. We’ve been hearing the term Islamization since he assumed position in 2015 and yet there is still freedom of practice of religion till now in naija.
If you go through the post on Washington times you will see that the author of the post is incoherent in his assertions. He’s even using Lagos as a case study for his claim of religious intolerance and one would but wonder the motive of the said author.
It’s the same USA press that said Lagos is the most dangerous place to live due to Boko Haram bombing and one would wonder when Boko Haram ever bombed Lagos. Is it not the same US accusing China of persecuting Muslims |
Business › Re: Why Onyema Was Flagged By The US - Advice From A US Based Business Man. by Slimpotter(m): 4:20pm On Nov 24, 2019 |
OruExpress: My opinion
Whether it's politicians, or businessmen, the ignorance we have of the US system while also wanting to participate in business with the US is dangerous. The United States is a very litigious, harsh country and ignorance of the law does not excuse a person in court. If you're going to engage in business with a country, know the laws, culture and mentality on the ground.
I do believe race and origin (Africa) played a role because almost everyone in the United States does not believe there are wealthy people in Africa. They don't believe it, and they don't want to believe it. So, while all large transactions are flagged in the US, ones from African or Black hands are particularly flagged.
The US has a long, difficult history with racism and when engaging with Americans, Nigerians can no longer be comfortable with fairy tale assumptions that you're dealing with someone that doesn't have a potentially malicious attitude towards you simply for being black and an Africa. We may even add Nigerian as Americans are not learning that Africa has different countries.
Nigerians enter the world assuming all evil exists in Africa and all good comes from non-Africans. Because of this we are ill-equip, mentally, to do business with anyone outside of Africa and we're constantly caught by surprise when they show malice or ill intent. I don't know if there was bad intent in the Onyema situation. As a fact, I do know that this is regular protocol. But I can safely assume that Onyema thought Americans would be happy to see him spend money in their country, as most naive Nigerians world.
Word of advice. The world is a world in competition. You cannot operate at a global level, assuming that the only people that don't want you to do well are the people in your village.
Do not forget that Jaja of Opobo was detroned, arrested, exiled, and poisoned by the British, for trying to buy British boats. You really do know a lot. And I agree with your thoughts on the Americans, we think Africans are ignorant, try meeting an ignorant American online, who doesn't want to even read or learn about things it doesn't know, but would rather stick to it's "hearsay beliefs" about a country. Americans, some though, believe the Chinese people are being oppressed, a country they've never visited, an American also calls our continent a jungle. For their level of modernisation, they sure got some level of ignorant folks. |
