kendrick93: I wonder too....are those scenes actually shot in North Korea? I don't think so, probably South Korea. I'm not sure the Korean government will give them license to even act such demeaning scenes in their country. |

kendrick93: Treadstone is the best action spy series currently on right now... The Fight scenes are well choreographed.... Acting is Ok and the storyline is manageable too... But the action elevates this series....I'm entertained so far I like it, it's one of the best series around now. But I try to sieve through their sentiment against the Soviet Union and North Korea. That of the Soviet Union is understandable given the political tension around that time, but North Koreans don't live as they're being portrayed. |

AryaSand: I think the reason most Nigerians don't know about her is because she isn't everywhere like Chimamanda. She is quite reserved but VERY GOOD!
@ the bolded, True. But then again, how many Nigerians read? Yea, she isn't one for fame. She lives the way geniuses do, simple and moderate. I told alot of people shouting chimamanda and feminism together, that unlike her Nnedi talks about it as a whole rather than in part. While chimanda tends to concentrate more on gender, Nnedi talks about black excellence and the way blacks are always portrayed in Hollywood and the clear case of patriarchy pervading every sphere of society, she's indeed intelligent. Then again, as you said, do Nigerians read? 2 Likes 1 Share |

She also writes for marvel and is best friends with George RR Martin (Game Of Thrones) For real girl, whenever I make posts about her people don't know much about her. We're not yet ready to acknowledge Sci-Fi in Nigeria. |

oz4real83: not completely. I only love the fact that it has a place for the masses unlike capitalism. Capitalism sees helping the masses as "charity" with the primary purpose of getting tax rebates from the govt but socialism doesn't. Dangote cannot help people for free. He cannot construct roads to help the people for free. He Must get a tax rebate for any of such "help". Sadly that's how it is, capitalism has made the world poorer and widened income gap, bringing the middle class a stone's throw away from the lower class. |

oz4real83: Capitalism has done too much harm than good to the society. Imagine travelling on a long journey without money for food even though food is sold on board. The poor are always been subjected to inhuman situations where they make wrong and risky decisions like cooking inside a train I even suspect will be over-crowded because of inability to buy food that is sold onboard. May their souls rest in peace. Do you follow socialist ideals? |

The Hard drive must have shifted out of position.
All you need do is open up the PC (at your own risk ), then locate the HDD and reposition it tightly.
Now, close up your system and power up.
If you can't do this, kindly refer to a computer technician (Errr, I'll advice you see a technician)
*cheers* Thanks for your reply, please advise are what cost will the technician be able to fix it, so I won't be overcharged, thanks. |

DexterousOne: If the lease did not expire
HK will still.be under British occupation
Know that
HK rejoined China less than 25 years ago That is why they are parallels I don't get your point are you trying to justify Britain's hold on a region that never originally belonged to them, cause I don't understand this your constant need to separate China from Hong Kong. It's a special administrative region, because of it's difference in political system, doesn't mean it's not part of the Chinese. Will you also say Macao is not part of China too? |
Travel › Re: If Nigerians Are So Smart, Why Isnt Nigeria Developed? by Slimpotter(m): 11:15pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
DexterousOne: Wrong
Hong Kong is parrallel to China
#Fact
No Chinese city is as developed as Hong Kong
They were only unfortunate to have the 100 year lease expire
So they had to go back to China Wrong
There's only one country China
There are two systems Mainland China's and Hong Kong SAR
Again I'm talking about standard of living not development status. |

thebosstrevor: Hongkong is more developed than china, it is also the place chinese companies goes to source foreign capital
Hongkong also have a very strong banking system to the extend that the world financial system is scared that we might go for a recession because of the protest going on there What's the essence of being developed when there's widening inequality in Hong Kong, China is better when it comes to standard of living. And again Hong Kong is China, forget western connotations. |
Travel › Re: If Nigerians Are So Smart, Why Isnt Nigeria Developed? by Slimpotter(m): 5:48pm On Oct 05, 2019 |
thebosstrevor: china has never been a wasteland, historically they have been an industrial nation, small japan didnt defeat all of china but a few weak places
Maa zedond did not make china what is it today, what he did was to unify china and create a communist state, during his rule, china was a poor country.
the opening of china made china rich.
there is a reason hongkong an island is more developed that china and that is because of less government interference in trade and the rule of law, also protection of private property aka property rights
Yeah it the function of govt to provide electricity, school and health apart from that nothing more. Which HongKong?... Go and check the standard of living, and compare. |
