All over the world riots and violence spring up whenever there is injustice. If the federal govt had played its part, there would be little or no crisis in the Niger Delta. During racism, blacks revolted. During the reign of Gaddaffi the citizens revolted too. What the people of the Niger Delta are saying is that we are tired of the injustice. I don't support pipeline vandalism though but in other for Nigeria and any other country to move forward, there must be equity and justice.

I'm in Abuja now, and I can't help but weep at the Niger Delta. 90% of Abuja or more was developed with Niger Delta crude revenue. The people are saying enough is enough. No sensible government practices this parasitic system of governance anymore. True federalism or nothing!

And before you tell me how bad our Niger Delta governors are, start by telling us just how good your own governors are.
I totally agree with you dat Abuja was developed with Niger Deltas' money, but if truth be told it was due to the fact that abuja is a capital and secondly the minister's of FCT were much more crious..... But I ask wat was d job of NDDC nd the Niger Delta ministry, wat of the 13% derivation... so this makes you ask questions....The Niger Delta is nt as big as the north but some parts of d north are more developed

I personally feel we Nigerians don't know what we want, today we shout rule of law tomorrow we want the president to truncate the same rule of law in order to favour our cronies.
As much I'm not holding brief for Buhari, I think the bulk of the blame here should be laid at the doorstep of mimiko and his faction.
Jimoh Ibrahim went to court and the court of law ruled that he's the right candidate (whether rightly or wrongly), what should the inec do in such a case? Disobey the court order when there was no contrary judgement to that effect?
Why didn't JEGEDE challenge or appeal that court order until after the final list by inec?
Will we be happy if inec should announce JEGEDE as the right candidate while a valid court order says otherwise? Will that not be contempt of court on the part of inec?
I think we should always put sentiment aside when we analyse issues because that's the only way we can move forward in this country.
Why would mimiko run to PMB? Was it to order inec to go against a valid court order? Doesn't that show that we all expect the PMB to be the alpha and the omega in this country? Aren't we encouraging the occupant of that seat to continue to see himself as being too powerful even above the constitution by our actions and/or in actions?
Nigerians way of reasoning is so twisted....sentimental reasons won't let dem tink well

@OP

You've asked a very vital question that over 70% of Nigerian Christians and Muslims can't answer cos they don't have none for it.

Satan rebelled in heaven. He was able to deceive one third of the angels in heaven to follow him. That's about several billions of angels. He questioned God's authority and lied to the angels that they were better of on their own than with Yahweh. He led a revolution against God and wanted to usurp God and mount the throne. He wanted to rule.

Isaiah 14:13-14

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."

Many angels believed in his words as he promised them better than what God gave them. That was how he was able to pull some of them to his side.

Revelations 12:3-4
Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.

After he succeeded in pulling those stars to his side, he launched his rebellion.

Revelations 12:7-9

"Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.
But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him."

He got barnished from heaven. Now, your question asks to to know why God didn't destroy him as soon as inequity was found in him. If God had destroyed him immediately, all the angels including the ones that didn't listen to his lies would have felt God was silencing His opposition. So, to prove the devil wrong by showing the heavenly hosts that no one can rule better than Yahweh, God decided to let Lucifer rule the earth for the entire universe to see.

Since Satan has been ruling the world, there hasn't been peace.

1 John 5:9

"We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is Under the control of the EVIL ONE."

Now, all those angels that refuse to buy his lies can now see that the devil would have been a huge disaster if he had been allowed to rule heaven. If God had destroyed him the moment he chose to rebel, those angels would have thought Lucifer was right, that's why God quickly silenced him.

The billions of angels who stood by him are now the demons and principalities of darkness in this world today, while the One that remained loyal are the good and peaceful angels.

Imagine if PDP used all the power at their disposal to silence APC, the masses would have complained cos they thought they saw a hope in APC and all its promises. But now that APC, has gotten to power, we can now all see that they aren't competent enough.

The time for Satan's destruction is near cos Yahshua is coming.

Only pragmatic and analytical minds will agree with you pastor.

Let's do a simple and quick analogy:

1. I earned N100k monthly for five years. After spending on family needs and other things, I should have N20k left for savings.

2. The N20k I should keep on monthly basis in those five years, I didn't keep it but was using it on frivolities.

3. Suddenly my salary got reduced to N40k for some reason.

Will I still be able to provide for all the needs of my family as I used to when salary was N100k? Common sense should tell me and those around me that I will struggle BIG TIME while looking for alternative ways out.

Even if a wife expects her husband to still meet such needs after knowing the facts above, people around her will condemn and criticize her for not showing understanding as well as lacking perseverance.

Nigerians need to give the government reasonable time and put things in perspective of the times we are.

Only quote me if you have evidence-backed argument to offer. Not the usual inanities.
