How long do you want to wait for the government to change before effecting changes.
For instance use the covid grants, do you know some of these funds were and are actually been released, when it gets to the disbursers they give you offer for the grant or loan and you pay them 50% of the grant or loan upon approval i.e they give you 1.6, you give the connector 800k and still end up pay the initial 1.6 with whatever agreed interest. This act is perpetrated by the people cause everybody is looking for survival and not considering the effects those things have on the country.
These things have eaten into the ordinary citizens and it needs to be curbed so it doesn't enter my child's generation.
Have you heard about the photographer that billed principal 100 for school pictures, principal tells teacher 150 teacher tell class captain 200, class captain tell student 250, students tell mother 300, mother tell father 400.
As far as the father is concerned, in Nigeria a school picture cost 400.

When the citizens are united to a common goal of holding the government accountable while in office there are constitutional procedures which can be used to keep the government accountable, like signining petitions to remove an inactive senator or rep by a certain population of voters amonsgt others.
Protest also is way, but we all know this is not encouraged in Nigeria as it can easily be sabotaged and turned to a massacre. Knowing this you cant keeping doing things the same way a expect different results, there are other ways to stage effective protests silently without losing lives.
Also reeclection or election of a politician should be as a reward of his real life changing achievements in previous office or as a patriotic citizen (if first time contesting).

All these and many more can only be possible with UNITY towards a particular goal or CONCEPTION born out of LOVE AND HOPE FOR THE COUNTRY.

You can research constitutional provisions for holding government official accountable. Those things and other freestyle modes can actually work, but only with LOVE HOPE UNITY.

WE CAN TAKE IT STEP BY STEP, START WITH LOVE AND HOPE...

If the President is using Nigerian hospitals for example. All the ministers, senators and politicians will toll same line and this will make them do everything possible to fix the health sector.
If the President children are schooling in Nigerian schools. All the senators, governors and politicians will follow same route. This will make them fix the education system.

What we have are President, governors, politicians who don't have 100% believe in Nigeria. All what they are after is to steal public funds to buy mansions abroad after their tenor they will fly abroad.

Change begins with politicians then the citizens will fall inline.

Also its the patriotic responsibility of a citizen to protect the country from bad governments. When the patriotic consciousness is activated the citizens will find ways to hold the government accountable...

Good day my fellow Nigerians, it is with a heavy heart filled with pain but searching for hope, that i address you all.
I was born in the 90s when Nigeria used to be hopeful, when corruption was still mostly at the top,
when we were told of all the natural, mineral and human resources our beloved Nigeria had deposited just to make life better for us all, knowing these alone made me fall inlove with Nigeria.
When we were told that we are the leaders of tomorrow,
When all you had to do was to get a degree and you have a job offer waiting for you, jobs were not for sale.
When we only heard about terrorism on international television,
When we fully migrated into democracy believing that the power had returned to the people.
Those were hopefull days.
I doubt a younger chap born in the 2000s has such hope in Nigeria.
Nigeria has become characterised by so much curses and hatred for the country by citizens, this is due to recent and current happenings in the country, whereby
Insecurity rocks every angle of the country, Terrorism banditry and kidnapping has become domesticated.
A time when corruption has also become domesticated to the extent that its fast becoming the norm.
A time when even the resources Nigeria has now harm the country's economy. Eg Crude oil in abundance but pms is scarce with subsidy issues and more expensive, food producing country with artificial hyperinflation and starvation
High level of poverty and suffering
A time when jobs are been sold, a time when the cost of living is very high and the standard of living is very low.
A time when the Niara has hit its weakest
Heavy debts and No functional sector

These current happenings have automatically led to lack of love for the country (Unpatriotism), therefore leading to deeper levels of corruption,oppression , insecurity and disloyalty to the Nation.
This Unpatriotism has weakened the souls of the citizens making them forget their responsibilities to the Nation (which is to defend the country from bad governance and building the country with the resources She has provided).

This Unpatriotism basically is as a result of lack of Hope due to recent happenings.

After analysing the problem, i recommend that love and hope are the first solutions to the problem of Nigeria.

It all starts with the consciousness, realisation and acceptance that you are Nigeria i.e "Everything YOU do affects Nigeria positively or negatively" (#ImNigeria)
Therefore if you have consciously decided to be patriotic then you will only do stuff to affect Nigeria positively.
We need to collectively accept and build this PATRIOTIC CONSCIOUSNESS.

Also your Patriotic consciousness and acts will build the hope for a better Nigeria. When others see your acts they will be encouraged that their compatriots are collectively working to make Nigeria a BETTER PLACE.

We need any and every single ray of Hope especially for the younger younger generation,

WE NEED TO STOP THE SPREAD OF THESE UNPATRIOTIC AND DIRTY BEHAVIOURs THAT ARE FAST BECOMING NORMS.
We need to kill such mindsets if not we will keep recycling the same things and getting worse.
These have to end with us, lets not infest the younger generation.
