^^^^ Djourou, Gibbs, Van Persie we even fit add Fabregas ![]() |
Different day ame ish, we still on the Wenger buy money youth experience matter ish. Arshavin really should stop saying stuff, seriously he should. This is England there are no innocent comments. They will twist whatever to get whatever. Debo ever wondered why players seem to repeat the belief bla bla line? @A-40 we didnt have the option that Jose had yesterday. We needed goals, in both legs. |
Good lord una no dey tire?!!! The SAME argument for the past 49 pages!!!! The conclusion of the matter, Wenger invested in youth so that we can have money to spend without being in trouble. Now we have the money let it be spent. But very much more importantly let the players we have sit the fork up and play. Dem no dey yab dem ni. Maybe we borrow them Suara and DK for 2 weeks make dem see wetin we dey suffer for NL. All other things are just by the way. Nna, NA THE ARSENAL!!! |
well well well, . . . . .o ti ya, it is silly season. Meanwhile Goal reporting we are upping Fab's pay. Intent to keep the performers? We shall see. Suara and him mumuish Shawcross comments again. I guess the players pf teh EPL must be drugged to vote Verm into the team of the season. Its the ARSENAL!!! Gunners never run, gunners been fighting all their lives. Na here we dey. |
A-40:Ha A-40 this your internet blood and crips don dey too mush o. Meanwhile Tom Cruise is an Arsenal player o. ![]() |
A-40:AK-40-7 abeg go back to my post at 5.22pm, the response was to the highlighted portion of your post. The need to find quality while having limited funds to spare. However maybe we truly should have gotten rid of a few waste men in january and then have Tom Cruise play in central defence after injury did his bit between then and now. ![]() |
eldee:on the contrary many have postulated that this was the reason for Liverpool almost succesful last season. Not that I'm supporting that formation anyways. Cos like you said, where then does Fabregas fit in. |
dayokanu:An d have you read the figures associated with those players now. WEnger actually said money will be a problem with Llrois plus his unwillingness to leave France this summer. Now if Wenger where to buy get a keeper for £8m and God help him he makes an error in his first game. DK I know what even you will say. People want shiny new toys, not wooden toys and shiny new toys cost money. £22m for Robben is already half of A-40's offer price for revamp. |
A-40:And is this not what he has been trying to do and got people all smarting? In the same strory book where Adebayor went for £25mill and players are selling for £80mill? Thatt figure is unrealistic except of course if Wenger does his thing which of course will be greeted with , he's a miser, he's looking for cheap bargain and all that. Quote a realistic figure. |
See Khanye dey complain about referee even bring exhibit join, . . .must be all this dust in the atmosphere ![]() |
Dudu see the conclusion of the matter is this. We went through this harrowing route so that we can be financially sustainable. Which means we can make expenses and not have to bother about it biting us in the a$$. Well, are we there yet. Cos if we arent, its quite a loooong time. If we are, then we have to make those expenses to get some quality in. It is not bellyaching to request that we have more quality between the sticks is it. The reason I dont advocate spend and spend is cos there are some things money cant buy. Money cant buy you dedication and spirit. Fork it money cant even buy the health of your players. But I'll be damned if money cant buy you a player a notch in quality above what you have. Again are we there yet? I have bled for this passion i believe in I will hate to have penny pinching make it be all in vain. |
Dr Kitaun:Ha the good doctor, na why i dey like him post, no dey fork around like Tiger Woods, straight to the point like a$hawo for Obalende .Anyways egbon, free that matter, whats with a litle bit of dementia at a time when things were looking bad. Even Debo said if you cant beat them you join them. Its all done and dusted now. We gotta look forward. ![]() |
This is my 1000th post, I was saving it to say this words FINALLY ARSENAL HAS WON THE LEAGUE!!! Sadly that is not so. So well I'm going to cash my reality pay check. However it is sad to note that in the last few days onky one Arsenal fan thinks it important to see anything good about his team. Kudos to Debo was has put in rational arguments on the counter. However a whole lot of people feel insulting Duduspace is the best way to show him his folly in his beliefs. NL na wa o!!! Dudu I am with you jare. A few bad game sdoes not necessatily mean a bad team, however I am as frustrated about this whole thign than anybody. I believed very much so I had a pre-season bet we were going to win the league. Now I may be out of a coupla thous. I looked at the squad and concluded we have come of age, no youth excuses. I looked at the squad, good cover as i llooked round, no lack of numbers excuses. Early season we were pressing the balls, scoring goals, even losing gallantly, no commitment issues. So what the hell happened. Where are all this things that made me confident pre-season. This guys should wake the fork up and get their spirit back. If they cant Arsene should make changes, end-off. Oh by the way, even if Almunia shack methylated spirit, that nucca shouldnt be in post for me next season. I have seen enough!!! |
Eastbay:war chest, cash to splash, ready to swoop for a player. . . .few words that point to bulls#!t stories. Serious journos use serious language. |
FFS you guys are online and are meant to be most knowledgable duo on NL sports section. |
This is the complete paragraph from which you quoted your last piece of all-knowing information. Arsenal have begun preparing for life after Thierry Henry by agreeing terms on a deal to bring Dinamo Zagreb's Brazilian-born Croatia striker Eduardo da Silva to the Emirates Stadium. Da Silva, 24, has accepted a four-year contract offer that will be ratified upon completion of a medical, with Dinamo claiming the transfer to be worth the £16.25m the Gunners received from Barcelona for Henry. Arsenal say the transfer fee is between £7m and £8m.Of course you know at Arsenal its IT students that tend to our accounts and we dont have to answer to auditing, idiot. DK I don tell you, we don hear. |
dayokanu:ok, i've heard. |
For a start Eduardo wasnt even worth up to 10millas, except of course we are converting to Roger Millas. Like i said stop pulling numbers outta your a$$!!! |
dayokanu:And one of the requirements to be a donkey is to be a able to pull numbers outta your ass!!! |
Dudu I implore you, allow people their God given right to be angry. Any Arsenal fan that is not very veeeery angry about yesterday is just a fan in passing. I have stayed away from posting becase God knows i dont want to say terrible things that will be cast in concrete for posterity. At 2-0 I was ready to leave the match and move on to something else. BUt i remmebered RVP was supposed to come and I wanted to gauge his sharpness. So I stayed. God forgive me for all the things I said to Wenger yesterday. Actually God forgive him for making me sin so. On the other hand it is quite convenienet to lay the stick at AW but we cant escape the fact that there is something is fundamentally wrong with the Arsenal. From fans who give up mid-season to players who turn wins into defeats within 10 mins, to a manager who cant get them to sit the fork up!!!! The Arsenal needs its attitude back and its quite a real shame that we require a coupla millions splashed to even believe in ourselves. My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me!!! |
@DK egbon ni won n pe yin o. I thot u understood english? |
No sir Debo, indulge me a story however badly told: While the headlines had Arsenal dropping out of the top four and various 'no more top four now top three' references, Arsene said he believes we are going to win something this year. Few games in, that belief showed through massive early results. Infact of the 2 early losses the verdict was that we were good for a win for the scummies and shot ourselves in the foot against the upstarts. All taken together, the captains comments were: everyhting is looking good but we havent won anyhting yet. But we have the hunger and spirit for the fight. Cue the first fall-off, general opinion 'we told you so'. In house opinion: The leaders will drop point, what we have to do is ensure that when they do we are suitably placed to pick up the necessaries to close the gap. Results string of wins that virtually cleaned out a wide gap. Cue the third fall off after the 4 games in 2 weeks, general verdict: Surely not this time, they have been riding their luck its now all over. The leaders' captain even confessed he totally wrote us off. In house verdict: We know we are far off,but we came into the seaosn believing we will win the league this year. Now definitely no one will want it more. Result, we wiped out an 11 point lead. This are not the chronicles of an 'hoper' and someone riding his luck. We gave it up when it mattered least. We gave it up when we were now expecting to be cruising. And that is my verdict. A set of players without a winner's 'swagger'. Who wouldnt kill Birminghma, Wolves. Who would corner the tinnies and then refuse to pull the trigger until they realised all was lost and then start scrambling. We didnt lose when we were fighting and down, we lost it when we were expected to be winning it. On all other matters we are in agreement. |
And the conclusion of the matter is this. We have surpassed the expectation of critics and pessimists but have not met our own expectations. Debosky I know that ireti pipe o ma n mu okan se are, but look at your last statements about the supposed additions we could have made and see how many conjectures you have in there as relates to the results. Not to compare our team with so and so, infact I know a team who did all those things you have just said and their ambition is what is deemed our failure. You are a reasonable guy, please have some perspective. I know we are all dissappointed as how things turned out, but are we going to all jump in front of a bus because of that? There was a strong belief in-house that we were good enough for the goods this season. When the season is truly over we will name names and flog with cane, those players who decided to shove their head in their asses when we needed them most. It is important right now to ensure that the performers in the team are kept, that is step one. We will take it from there. |
edo. . . .abi were n se e ni? Get the fork up soldier!!! |
Arsenal. . . . . Arsenal. . . . . ![]() |
Title ko title ni, if you allow Totoham to beat Arsenal you should be lined up and shot!!!! ![]() |
Eastbay we dont know much, but hearts go out to you man. It shall be well. I dey come, Iwan go trash those tiny neighbors of mine. |
Dudu interesting argument, but 1. There were no actual reports of Sonderos's injuries. As matter of fact at a point in time it was a day before a game we hear that Sonderos is carrying a knock. Which seemed to lend weight to all the gossip about things not being right between him and Wenger or thereabout. 2. For all the argument about Vela's talent, it says a whole lot that he's virtually been lost all season. I mean this boy has played less games than Van Persie. Of all our strikers this season, he's the one with the least reported injuries, yet the one with the least amount of games. What is really happening. I dont watch a lotta reserves but is he even playing in the reserves? |
A-40:Ironically Eduardo converted one of those chances to keep us in the FA cup. Rosicky, A-40 are you kidding me? We might have all sorts of creative midfileders but let Rosicky go? Hope Wenger doesnt make that mistake. Rosicky's one bad game this season has been Barca away. |
The topic of debate has now been narrowed to if it comes down to letting one go who will be your preffered option: Carlos Vela or Eduardo Da Silva. Quite interesting, very much so since the cry has always been to have experience around, but having spent so much on Vela and gotten so little in return do we want to cut our losses? However how long are we ready to wait for talent to translate to results. On the other hand should we finally accept that Eduardo cant cut it anymore? At least not at the highest 'Arsenal' level? I am not of this persuasion. I have given my arguments as to his contribution when he led the line. Complicating things further is the position and what each has to offer in the present style of play. I remember the Stoke game. When Eduardo came in and signalled 4-4-2, that is his kind of game. Playing off the 'bigger' striker. Vela I feel should be more suited to the 4-3-3, however in a position that is 'AA23's' Actually IMO he should be Arshavin's natural cover. He combines Theo's pace with Arshavin trickery. So if we go out to get Chamahk, who gets dropped off the edge of a cliff? |
oh dear lord!!! |
v3:v3 na me you wan dey give DK treatment, if i give you backhand? Dudu omo this your argument loooong no be small oh. I go come back come read am. But I will say this much for now , Ade leaving wasnt purely economics. Wenger does not like disruptive players. You might be a jugunu before you came to his dressing room (like van Persie), but once you are in you keep a level head and play football. Ade put himself, Thiery Henry, Arsenal and money in the same sentence. That is an offence punishable by transfer. Case closed. However you stuill cant seperated Baba Ijebu from him cash nah abi? £25milla was too good to pass up. ![]() |
