Hi nairalanders. This is the first time that I will be creating an account on Nairaland. I have been a guest for many years and I love this forum. I am not the type of person to share my issues with people, but this issue is very pressing and I don't seem to have found any answers from researching online. Please I would appreciate if one of the moderators sends this thread to the front page so I can get more responses.

I am 29 years old. I have a job, my own house and a car, and I am ready to settle down. I want to get married this year, unfailingly. The problem is that I only attract bad girls into my life. My definition of bad girls are those girls that club almost every night, girls that care so much about material things and about how they look, girls that wear skimpy outfits and show off their bodies at every chance. Girls that live on tiktok and instagram. These are the type of girls I attract.

What prompted me to create this account and post this is the experience I had today in church. There is the beautiful, quiet, modest looking usher that I have feelings for. I I have listened to her speak in our youth sunday school and she sound intelligent. She is also god-fearing and devoted in church. I admire these qualities in a wife. Today I walked up to her to introduce myself but the way she responded killed me on the inside. She didn't even smile. Just kept a straight face and didn't even care to respond to some of my questions. I felt defeated. I don't believe in forcing a friendship. I believe that when I approach a girl and she behaves like that, it is a sign that she doesn't like me at all and I would only be wasting time trying to get her to like me.

Meanwhile in the same church, there is one slay queen that has been giving me green light and always smiles when we lock eyes. I don't even know why girls like this come to church. There is another girl that twerks all the time on her whatsapp that is angry that I have been ignoring her. There are countless others i have slept with in the past that have all fit this profile. But not once have I had a relationship with a good girl. It is almost like a curse was placed on me. When ever i meet good girls, they always seem to not like me. Maybe I am bad at reading people, but the way they behave is the direct opposite of the way the bad girls behave when I meet them. The bad ones are always smiling, always attentive and always eager to know more about me.

I don't want to get married to a girl that doesn't have the fear of god, or a girl that smokes shisha and parties all night every weekday. I want to get married to a girl that has the qualities of the usher girl.

I am a good looking, responsible young man. I do not dress, look or act like a yahoo boy, in case you are wondering. I am well educated, I speak well and interact with people in a mature way.

You are the one putting yourself in an unnecessary pressure by involving marriage in your to do list thereby attracting negative vibes to yourself, stop chasing marriage and the right girl will come for you...

But from the way you are going about it, you might end up getting married to someone that will destroy what you have laboured for years!! I hope you don't experience this tho

My pregnant neighbour has been so restless and sick having discovered she's carry twin


This neighbour of mine is pregnant with 6 other kids. She has been finding it difficult to feed her family including her 6 children. Her husband is an electrician and plumber but he hasn't been getting job inorder to take care of his family. The children had been out of school for several years

I live with my aunt who's a widow. I saw my aunt stressed out yesterday and worried and i was wondering what could be the problem. She was the one who told me about the woman predicament. My aunt has emptied her little foodstuffs because of this woman and her children. My aunt is just a poor widow who's managing herself and kids but she can't stand the sight of this woman and her children hungry.

My aunt told me the woman's friend advice her to inject the pregnancy through abortion. She's six months gone and according to those her friends even nine months pregnancy can be aborted provided she has the money and her state of mind is willing to not forceful

According to her friends, they felt that's the best decision she could consider due to her condition. She cannot even feed the ones on ground, they are not going to school and she's still carry twin right in her womb. She hasn't gotten any baby things. It was my aunt that took her for antenatal when the pregnancy was in 4 months stage. She has been so confused on what to do. My aunt wasn't in support of it though, same time she doesn't have money to support her and her children.

Nigeria isn't saner climes where government support the less privileges. She will be having 8 children in total if she chose not to abort it. What will become the fate of these innocent children? How will she survive with these children in Nigeria? She fainted yesterday and was rushed to the hospital. It was confirmed that she has been thinking so much and she doesn't eat well. This has affected her health conditions.

Her family and that of the husband had been so helpful according to her and it has really taken a toll on them. She even lost one of her uncle who has been supportive. This woman is sad, she's broken and shattered into pieces. I'm even scared of her life because she's not getting good medical attention for her condition. She doesn't eat well for herself and the foetus. I'm even bothered about her life, I sincerely hope all what she's going through wouldn't tell on her on the day of delivery.

Please what's your advice for this woman and her family

To be very honest I don't pity for people like this, there is no work but preeq and kpekus are working every night...

The poor are getting poorer because they are not smart, even those that can finance and cater for 10 kids at a go do have a maximum of 3, but a poor man doesn't care... Ignorance they say is truly a disease...!!
