Please, I need advise on how to console and encourage a friend of mine here in naija that heard the news of the death of her newly wedded husband who returned to the US after the wedding ceremony.

The husband lived in the US for so many years, he had a good woman/wife with two children. I don’t know if they were legally married or he settled with the lady and had kids with her for papers during his early years in the US.

Now, after years of being divorced or separated from the lady, I think a calabar US based woman according to him, he then met my friend at an occasion while he came to naija. He pick interest in her and proposed marriage, after like one or two years of communication over the phone. They got wedded seven months ago, and he flew back to the states. Communication continued via phone, until there was a break in communication, my friend here in naija tried to reach him but to no avail, until she called one of his US friend who went and confirmed that her husband was about entering his car packed on a hilly road, he forgot the handbrake wasn’t activated, and the car rolled with him to a tree…he had some fractures and rushed to the hospital. At a point, he was recuperating, although couldn’t speak to my friend on phone.Due to his extreme condition, I think the first wife came but shut every communication. So literally my friend was left in the dark until she heard that he had passed away.

His burial will be in the states, and his family here told my friend that they will come for discussion after the burial, probably for his properties which was gotten in both his name and wife’s name(my friend). Before his demise, he had told her how terrible most of his clans are, and how she should try to avoid them and keep things secret from them

How do I encourage her at this time and also the impending battle with her late husband’s family

Let her use this period and accumulate whatever she can or those properties she knows her husband people doesn't know about...in essence let her settle herself very well, afterall, there will be no burial in Naija...!!

I have this cousin doing very well in his business until the advent of Bet9ja...!! That was how this guy left his business to wither and invested every penny with Bet9ja until the last kobo...There is no kinda advise this guy didn't receive, pastors, elders, friends, family name it, it would be as if he's now a changed person until we (family) decides to put him back on track, but once money enters his hands, it's business as usual, you open a choice business for him, he will squander the money on betting and women...And this has continued for years, Baba has been owing almost all online loan platform, gotten himself arrested multiple times but we will still bail him, his elder sister has tried her possible best to offset most of his debts one certain time but he will go and accumulate more the next time...It got to a stage all his friends deserted him, families deserted him and Baba was in a sober reflection, went into trance mode and regretted all that has happened to him...

He started attending churches and going to weekly programs and went for deliverance and become a changed person, we studied him for like 6months, we saw changes in him and decided perhaps it's time to help him out, his Uncle abroad called him and decided to set him up as a man (That one no know watsup shaah). we rented a fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment for him, established a well funded and furnished business of his choice in a very busy and lucrative area and credited his account with sufficient amount of money, infact the only thing we didn't do for him was to marry a wife for him...On the part of his Uncle abroad, that one was constantly sending him upkeep money in $ even to the extent of him paying his children school fees in Madonna University and Baba was looking all fresh again...As a result, his immediate elder sister entrusted her almost completed house project for him to oversee since he's in the same state where the project was sited...

To summarize everything, problem started when we asked Oga to send pictures of the fittings and POP work that was done in the house because he said they have finished the work, Baba stated giving series of excuses until he ran out of ideas of what to say, that was when we started suspecting foul play...

Lo and behold, the house was still the same as it was in genesis, nothing was done A look at the shop we rented for him, was scanty and we didn't see the 55 inches plasma TV, we later heard one Bet9ja agent he was owing common 80K came with boys and took the TV away Children school fees in Madonna, he didn't pay, house we rented for him, he has sold almost all the properties, Omo...!! Everybody just weak and that was when we concluded that enough is enough "This guy is inredeemable" as I'm typing this, we don't even know his whereabouts, the last I heard from him was 2months ago he called me with a different number and was giving me a very long sermon of how I was his last hope and was talking plenty, I just sent him the amount he requested for because it was within my capacity...
