The easing became possible when it was obvious we would hit the 30billion dollar mark in foreign reserves which was a milestone for the government.

This has only become possible due to the sustained price of oil way above our 2016 budget.

Again, the educated should stop pandering to sentiments and apply rationality.

No I don't mean it like that. I personally don't think people's school grades come first. What happened to those with many years of experience in those areas? Mining for example, many people have a lot of experience in that area and have probably written books and theses around the problems that area is facing. Why bring a random person with no prior experience of that area to lead the actual professionals?

Where was the idea hidden when the dollar rose like crazy back then? Oh, so someone suddenly thought about the ongoing quantitative easing by CBN now when the VP was the acting president? That has been any economic easing method for years for many countries. Why wasn't it applied until inflation set in? Have you observed prices of commodities reducing yet? Doesn't that show there is still inflation in the economy irrespective of the current efforts?
Pumping dollars into the market will definitely help lower the current dollar rate, but with inflation staying same, it will lead to failure. Money can be pumped in as much as possible, and hopefully bring $1=N1. But would you want to pay N100 for whatever costs that much by then when you can do a lot more with the equivalent in international markets.

What I'm saying is simple.
1.Educated people can comprehend things more than the less-educated (no disrespect to the uneducated ones - they have ano important role too in the society)
2.This is the economy we are talking about and it affects all of us.

People with the right thinking abilities should be at the helm of affairs.

The Nigeria Defence Academy,

The Mons Officer cadet school

The US Army War College

All of which your president attended.

Just because someone chooses to go another route for his/her career doesn't make such person less intelligent or less qualified.

The president's alma mater has broadcast his o'level results which nobody has disputed.

He claims his original certificate was lost when he had his home turned upside down after a military coup which is public knowledge (The coup I mean).

Until we tell ourselves the truth there would be no progress by the nation.

Didn't you feel any difference when the country was led by the VP for a couple of months? Did you try to compare it to the previous months before?
They constantly claim education is key, but what stopped them from getting at least a genuine bachelor's degree, HND or OND at the least.
I read somewhere that Obasanjo just earned a Masters degree from one of the Nigerian universities last year. Wasn't he in the same military?
It's democracy here, not military era anymore. Things should be done differently and not with iron fists.

I think what he meant was the reason behind why some first-class graduates roaming the streets looking for jobs, while a third-class supposed graduate (with questiontionable certifications) contributes to driving their lives and the economy. How many of them in the senate genuinely earned a degree, yet debate what happens to the genuinely educated ones? Imagine how it feels to see smart students burning night candles to read through their exams, eventually to be led by the dumb ones and their fellow dumb cronies.

Illiterates can easily surround themselves with educated advisers, but can they even comprehend whatever the adviser is telling them? Probably in their preferred language. But how do you translate economic indicators like GDP, EOM, CIC, Inflation, Market Sentiments etc in Hausa, Yoruba,Igbo or other languages to an Illiterate decision maker? But all that affect the populace.

How can a country thrive when even the president can only boast of a doubted high school degree? How can the education sector improve when even the leader isn't half-educated and probably has zero comprehension level to the fiscal statistics around the state of affairs in the economy?

Yet smarter ones with better degrees aren't recognized.

Being ruled by semi-illiterates led to a bunch of things hurting the economy - like having a lawyer handle key parastatals where an engineer should be at the helm of affairs. Another lawyer leading the once highly respected Nigerian Youths and Sports, and another one with Doctorate in War Studies to head Mines and Steel Development with no recordable achievement till date. It appears it's just a bunch of wrong people in the wrong places. What happened to professionals with deep knowledge of these respective areas? The nation is stuck with some old people that became a gang and are experimenting with the rest of the population, knowing they don't know what they're doing.

World trade center wasn't rebuilt after the attack. I think explorers were referring to the original build.
