Isn't this the boxer from one country in Africa ?..but seriously he looks like charcoal when he was totally black. Now he just looks more weird. Too much bleaching I guess. |
Food is ready for the whistle blowers in the house! Blow ur whistle. |
A country led by comedians. May be even Mr Ibu could have been better as a president. At least hungry people gets to laugh whenever he talks, versus one that stopped talking over a month ago. |
mykelmeezy:Wow. Your eyes na halogen? How you take spot that one? |
ashewoboy:Are you aiming at empowering women or just making fun of the dumb ones among them? To me, hungry and fake girls are the ones with these qualities. They're worth nada. Flaunt some lil money and their legs are wide open for every Tom, Dick and Harry. Is that your definition of 'big girl'?. Those are just desperate low-life's ure adoring in this post. |
SalamRushdie:I was going to ask same question. This appears like a waste of banners and energy for no cause at all. |
Dongreat:I actually don't think him inspecting toilets is the main issue. Typically, most leaders rely on 'updates' from others, and they are constantly lied to about the state of many things, just like Jonathan was misled. Jonathan once said the power sector was perfect on international media, while the masses knew that was a lie. Why did he say that? He relied entirely on the lies he was fed in the reports and updates he received, versus seeing things himself or having a reliable team go out there to see what the masses experience. I think our focus should be on the aftermath. After his surprise visit to the airport, several directors within that sector were fired just yesterday. Would we say they were fired because of some toilets? Heck no. It's simply because of their corruption and negligence. MMA is one of the airports in the world I know where some people extort travelers to use the toilet. I have experienced it first-hand at Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt airports. Yet, we don't see that in other airports in North America and Europe. In my opinion, there nothing wrong with his surprise visit to the airport even though the toilets is all the media reported. It doesn't make any sense to assume he left Abuja to fly down to Lagos just to see the toilets at the airport. He consequently fired incompetent directors afterwards, and that's what I think matters. Newer minds can bring some sanity to that sector. |
Aliku:Yeah, I love the AMGs too, I think my next will be E350. I never bought a bimmer, I have driven a few owned by friends, but just never cared about the interiors except one that had a refrigerator in the middle of the rear seat. I thought that was cool. Can't remember what model that is cos I really don't follow BMW trends. May be I should start exploring them. The interior in their salon cars just don't look appealing to me. May be I'd prefer the trucks - like X6 and the likes. |
chccho:First at the boldened, I actually lived in Detroit for over six years before moving to ATL 7 years ago. Visiting autoshows there is really no big deal. You can be a part of it if you want. http://naias.com/about/overview/ I read the BMW road map, my focus was on the number of models deployed per year. Simple analogy. You are blessed and talented to create several versions of a certain item that the public would rush as soon as you create them. You have multiple options available to you - one is to make them all at once and let the public struggle to get whichever they prefer, implying those that purchased the one you created earlier in the year will end up with an older version by the time you release the next. A second option is to release one version, promote it, get as many customers as possible to love it and then release the next after making all profits from the first rush. Most customers that purchased your first item will end up being repeat customers and are likely to purchase your next item, since they're satisfied with the first. In my opinion, second option is the perfect marketing strategy. If sales is actually driven by how many models of cars manufacturers come up with every year, some can release up to 20 models per year. Rather, the best business approach is to keep the potential buyers in suspense and longing for the next. Car manufacturers move their future cars around all the time in the US, everyone sees them on their trucks, but they are all covered up. No one knows how they look until they are ready for the market. What does that do? It leaves the public in suspense and ready it. That's how marketing works, not by just dumping multiple products out at once. If I had purchased BMW stocks, I'd sell them right away. Why? One of the business risks auto-makers are susceptible to are recalls. It's a legal right of every vehicle owner in the US to be notified of mass defects in any vehicle. Defects could include any issues that could translate to a lawsuit from the public - like non-deploying airbags, unexpected electrical problems, engine problems etc. By law in the US, all car owners must be notified whenever multiple occurrences of this are observed, and recall notices are sent to everyone to take their vehicles back to the closest dealership to get the defects fixed. How will that affect BMW? Deploying 4 models of cars a year would mean they are susceptible to multiple recalls in case any defect is observed. Failure to comply would lead to lawsuits. I have had at least 3 recall notices within the last one year. Though I never had any issue with the car itself, but they had already been observed by other owners and it's considered risks to public safety. So, that means the automaker had to fix it free of charge all three times I went back to the dealership with the recall notices. Not just for me, but everyone in the US that owns the same make and model, which translates to loss for them. Imagine BMW dealing with that on multiple models they decided to release per year. |
Please get rid of this man. He's only experimenting with Nigeria. There are several people with better ideas of improving the current state of the economy and place the exchange rates at a logical point. This man has failed woefully, why is he still in that position? Something is wrong when someone that holds a position so critical to the economy has constantly came up with crazy policies that affects everyone, yet still remains in office. |
It would be great to curb the extortions travelers go through from the airport officials. That's one thing most travelers hate about Nigerian airports, unfortunately that what they first observe when they are visiting Nigeria. |
Aliku:Never owned BMW, I never liked the interior from those my friends own or those I have test-driven. I'm just a huge Mercedes fan. So, you may prefer BMW from your experience with their cars. Benz is just my preference. |
chccho:Forget all that corporation talk. Corporations make mistakes, the final decision comes from individuals like me and you within these corporations and the shareholders bear the potential losses. It's just common sense to have one model out, give it all the promotion it deserves then promote the others. Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, Ford etc leverage same marketing concept. Each of them have many cars in production but choose not to let them out at once. I can talk about this because I have attended several auto shows in Detroit, Michigan since the past 8 years. Several cars have been built that aren't on the roads yet. Auto-makers decide what years they want to sell those cars to the public. However, visitors to the auto shows have seen the cars before anyone bought them. So, I have seen and explored various cars in auto shows before they're sold to the public. |
kulikuli45:Have you ever owned a Mercedes? I've had 3 within the last 5 years and my current one is C300 4Matic. Tell me which one you have had. |
Does this idea make any sense? Seems like desperate measures to me. What happened to deploying and promoting one model per year? All auto giants do that. BMW is about to just become 'pure-water', a mistake Mercedes wouldn't make. |
fm7070:Glad you see it this way. It's been like that for years. Serious re-orientation is needed in the military parastatals, as it appears the masses are more educated and exposed to what happens in other countries than them. Unfortunately, they believe their approach is right, but the masses say otherwise. |
grandstar:Oh got it. Thanks for the explanation. |
bossrillboss:Why are you abusing me on my comment? Was anything I said offensive to you? |
I already know its some corrupt people driving this mass. What happened to eating locally-produced rice? Customs only interfere with imported products, not locally produced ones. Our people, certain things only require common sense. We have all it takes to serve our local rice needs. These ones parading naked are paid to do so. |
I trust my naija people. Dem for don cook and chop am before any discovery yarn. |
With all these revelations, should the typical mainstream ATM users avoid using their ATM cards now? How do one explain 'phishing', 'hacking' etc to one Iya Basira, Chief Emeka or Malam Usman that do their respective legitimate trades but need to use the ATM to get funds out whenever they need or deposit their hard-earned funds? Shouldn't the banks be in the fore-front in efforts to curb these types of crimes? Should everyone go to the ATM suspicious of the machine itself and anyone in a queue with him/her? |
NDIOGAH:Who and who makes 'we' in this statement of yours? |
This one wey everybody just die, how many of us remain? I think we need a fresh and transparent censors, don't we? |
datola:I tire o. It's useless if it won't take the recession away with it. |
These people don't even steal in Naira anymore, they steal in Dollars. How dollars no go scarce? These amounts are staggering. |
OLAADEGBU:He lost popular votes. He was rigged in via electoral votes. There are evidence the electoral system was hacked. |
So even the president and vice treat Saraki like a god? |
Ok. I'm sure some people will start blaming me instead of Buhari over the problems in Nigeria. |
kunlexyfred:True. Who wants to hire people can't count but can dance shoki and galala? |
Rtopzy:Born here in the US. Lived most of my life growing up in Nigeria. Moved back to the US from Nigeria 13 years ago. Did additional schooling and work here. I try to be on NL so I don't completely forget my roots. Love to relate to whatever happens in my home country, versus staying entirely immersed in the american way of life. |
The man holding that poster looks like Tonyebacanister. That guy do old o. |
