martineverest:Can you approximate 498 differently? Can we compare speed for a moment - like how fast the rates went up to 500 vs how slow it came down just 2 units. In my opinion, naira has more tendency to continue declining irrespective of the retracement mentioned. To your comment, yeah I do understand science and eng, one of my first degrees is in engineering. |
Hope masses don't chase una comot before Q1 2017. Na only naija where one lawyer claim say him sabi give electricity. Engineers and technocrats aren't qualified enough, one of the chosen ministers is in charge of what's not his area. |
N498 is approximately N500. I learnt that in primary 3. |
Rowlandjude:I don't think they mean N3.5m, they mean 3.5m tires in number. |
40kobo77:Why do you think so? |
Several people in Mexico and other countries bear Jesus as their first names. Would you say they are all born by sinners? |
Wrong time to release a song in a recession. |
hardywaltz:Didn't u see the picture above? Someone is complaining about the huge cost of alomo, ogidiga, Olosho and other basic things he needs, you're talking about crude oil. You're on a different frequency from thls guy abeg. Start your own boring thread. |
If Olosho cost N4500, why girls dey bill some boys above that amount? It's unacceptable. |
paulwhiz:Correct businessman. Consult me for markers etc. |
Seriously, I thought Tinubu was sounding like a slowpoke in this video, was he high? |
nazzyon:After all that, he messed up on this one. Next time, even if he's sharing free food for everyone, he doesn't have to inform anyone - even the starving ones. Why? Because he can change his mind before they get to the food. Folks like Charlie and Seyi Law that came out, did they die? Rather the people trust them more. Why start something and wait for someone else to bear the consequences of finishing it. So far, it's been a peaceful protest and no one has been hurt in its cause which is great. Those the protest in intended for know they need to do their jobs. A next protest organized by anyone with a notable voice will definitely attract more public awareness, so the sleeping elective so can wake up to reality. I hope someone like Charlie and Seyi Law would be glad to wake these greedy leaders up months from now if things remain the same, that's where a real revolution begins. |
These heardsmen no dey watch news? Is today a day for this kind of their wahala? |
I hear. |
DIKEnaWAR:What does 'Bish' mean? |
I really pity Osinbajo. I hope the cabal don't turn him into a vegetable soon too. |
bangging: |
Fear the cabal. |
Isn't this the same conditions this same man was overthrown in 1985? The economy was harder than it was before he got in and he was overthrown before he realized what was happening. I see history repeating itself already. |
lonelydora:Please don't believe that thing. Several scam businesses dey USA o. To believe, wait till someone creates MMMUSA, then put all your life savings in it and watch wetin go hit you. Plenty scam for yankee. |
rafhell:Yes. And he brought the solution to the suffering in the land with him. Its in his left pocket. No go hustle, dey wait for Buhari. |
chuksjuve:Why? So, because someone is a Christian he mustn't sell condoms in his store? What if other Christians need condoms for family planning reasons? Whom do they buy it from? Only a Muslim or an atheist? I don't get the reasoning behind ur answer. You don't have quote bible verses on this, cos we all know there's no mention of condom or viagra anywhere in the bible. A logical explanation would be fine. Thanks |
CASTOSVILLA:Even you sef fail am. Today is Friday, October 33, 1898. Better start learning your calendar little by little. |
IamaNigerianGuy:Just giving you an advice on how to start. Did Tuface come here to beg for 1000 people? Does he have two heads? Whatever anyone can do, you can do it better. Just believe in yourself and you'll be amazed at how many people will join your protest. Cheers. |
IamaNigerianGuy:Well, since you have led protests before, obviously you have a good number of people that believe in your ideals. Why not gather the 1000 from them to start with? Also, I'm sure you have friends on social media that will support your bravery. Good luck bro. |
He did the right thing by canceling the protest. 1. There is a counter protest for that day, implying one group would likely end up maiming or robbing each other. 2. His image would have been more dented if people lost their lives from what Tuface started. Families wouldn't have ever forgiven him forever if people end up losing their lives, and his life could have been threatened afterwards. 3. Those calling him names for canceling the protests are humans like him, why not nominate one of yourselves to lead the protest from where Tuface stopped if you weren't cowards? |
Bishops10:Lol, your moniker says Bishop, and ur friend is recommending seeing Alfaa...Conflict of interest. |
Nice info! |
European Union leaders said they agreed to stick together in dealing with Donald Trump, but at their first summit since he took office they were at odds on how far to confront or engage with the new U.S. president. Trump and his policies, from questioning the value of NATO and free trade to banning Muslim refugees, came up repeatedly in discussions in Malta on external "challenges" facing the Union. British Prime Minister Theresa May, about to lead her country out of the EU, briefed peers on her visit to Washington last week and assured them Trump was committed to cooperating in their defense -- just as Britain would also be after Brexit. Francois Hollande, the outgoing Socialist president of France, led criticism of Trump, calling it "unacceptable" for him to applaud Brexit and forecast the break-up of the EU. In thinly veiled rebukes to May and some eastern states, he warned of trying to cut their own transatlantic deals. "A lot of countries should think of their future first of all in the European Union rather than imagining I don't what kind of bilateral relationship with the United States," he said. Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, who like many in the east is alarmed by Trump's conciliatory noises to Moscow, poured cold water on May's suggesting Britain could be a link to Washington. Europe did not need a "bridge", she was quoted as saying, because it could communicate with Trump on Twitter. But her Polish neighbor, Beata Szydlo, reserved her main criticisms for her predecessor as prime minister, EU summit chair Donald Tusk, who described Trump this week as a "threat" to the EU, along with Russia, China and militant Islam. "European politicians trying to build this sense of fear ... are making a mistake," said Szydlo, whose government, like Trump, has spoken out against Muslim immigration. "One cannot be confrontational in our relations with the United States." MERKEL CAUTIOUS Stressing the need for unity, the bloc's dominant leader, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said Europeans still had common ground with the United States in many areas, while not sharing Trump's scepticism about many international institutions. "We have again made very clear our common values and our faith in multilateralism," she told a news conference. The Union would, she said, push for free trade deals with more nations as Trump pulls back. But cooperation with the United States against militant threats would continue, she said. "Despite the travel restrictions between their countries I've been encouraged this week by the cooperation and friendship of the Iranian Wrestling Federation and USA Wrestling. "As we've seen over the years, wrestling is a sport that unites people and nations. United World Wrestling hosts a full calendar of events every season and we're certain to see American and Iranian wrestlers on the same mat again in the very near future." Trump has adopted an aggressive stance towards Tehran since Iran's ballistic missile test-launch, saying it was now "on notice". The new U.S. administration is expected to impose fresh sanctions on multiple Iranian entities. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-eu-idUSKBN15I2T8 |
It appears Trump's decision on the travel bans has started to cause a lot of confusion within the US already, as well as impact relationships with US allies and foes. A big flop on Trump for his rushed decision and attempt to see the world like it's just one of his companies. In retaliation to Trump's ban on Iranians' entry into the US, Iran said on Friday it had barred a U.S. wrestling team from the Freestyle World Cup competition in retaliation for the executive order by President Donald Trump banning visas for Iranians, state television reported. The Freestyle World Cup, one of the sport's most prestigious events, is scheduled for Feb. 16-17 and USA Wrestling had previously said it would send a team to the competition in the western Iranian city of Kermanshah. Tehran has already announced it will stop U.S. citizens entering the country following Washington's decision to ban refugees and citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries including Iran. "A special committee in Tehran reviewed their cases and decided to oppose the visit by the U.S. freestyle wrestling team," Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi was quoted by state television as saying. "The visa policy of the new American administration gave us no other option but to ban the wrestlers." "The Freestyle World Cup is the annual World dual meet championship, one of the most important events that United World Wrestling hosts each year. "If these reports are true, USA Wrestling is extremely disappointed about this, which we believe would be an unacceptable situation. Wrestling is about competition and goodwill through sport, and is no place for politics." USA Wrestling said on Monday the United States would send a team to Iran, where U.S. freestyle wrestlers have participated in competitions since 1998. Nenad Lalovic, president of United World Wrestling, the sport's international federation, said it was working towards a solution. "Though we had hoped for a different outcome from Iran's Foreign Ministry, we appreciate the complex nature of this decision. We are currently working to find a solution for the Freestyle World Cup as soon as possible," he said in a statement. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-iran-wrestlers-idUSKBN15I1TB?il=0 In a different news, it appears everyone is against Trump's travel plan except Trump himself and his administration. An excerpt from CNN below: A federal judge temporarily halted President Donald Trump's immigration executive order effective nationwide Friday, a significant setback for the controversial travel ban. Federal Judge James Robart, who presides in Washington state and was appointed by former President George W. Bush, orally granted the temporary restraining order. There was no written order immediately available. Trump's executive order that he signed last week suspended immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries for 90 days, the US refugee program for 120 days and indefinitely halted Syrian refugees from entering the US. "This is exactly what we were looking for," Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson told CNN's Anderson Cooper shortly after Robart's order, adding that "we have a bucket of Constitutional claims." Ferguson added that he was prepared to take his case all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. This suit was brought by the states of Washington and Minnesota against the travel ban enacted by Trump's executive order. A Customs and Border Patrol spokesman told CNN the agency will review the order and comply with all court orders. Asked for response, a Justice Department spokesperson would only say, "The department looks forward to reviewing the court's written order and will determine next steps." "We only challenged the parts that are actually affecting people immediately, which are the parts about refugees and the parts about targeting these seven countries ... the parts that have getting so much attention and have been causing such immediate harm to people, stranding them oversees and such, are enjoined right away," Washington Solicitor General Noah Purcell told reporters. Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, a Democrat, called the restraining order "a tremendous victory for the state of Washington." And Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer immediately hailed Robart's order. "This ruling is a victory for the Constitution and for all of us who believe this un-American executive order will not make us safer," Schumer said in a statement. "President Trump should heed this ruling and he ought to back off and repeal the executive order once and for all." Earlier Friday, a federal judge in Boston declined to renew a temporary restraining order affecting Massachusetts that prohibited the detention or removal of foreign travelers legally authorized to come to the US. Visa complications Even with the temporary restraining order, the State Department indicated in a letter dated January 27 that all visas for those from the seven Muslim-majority countries -- Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen -- were "provisionally revoked," so for many travelers, the first step could be to seek a new visa. It is unlikely that many citizens of those countries can just get on a plane and come to the US because they need visas to enter the country. It is also possible there will be more court activity and an appeal before anyone could act on getting a visa, and it's unclear how long it would take to obtain one. If the court order is simply telling the US government to allow people with valid visas from the seven affected countries to travel to the US, then Robart's halt will not apply to any of them because all of those people had their visas provisionally revoked by the State Department last week, a federal official with knowledge of the situation told CNN. A US airline executive said unless CBP changes the rules, nothing is expected to change for US airlines, as they follow the agency's guidelines so they are not fined. US airlines use an automated system connected to the CBP database to scan passports and visas to get an instant determination if the passenger can board or not. Unless the government re-instates visas and the airlines get a "board" status, the airlines still will not allow such passengers to board. http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/03/politics/federal-judge-temporarily-halts-trump-travel-ban-nationwide-ag-says/index.html |
