In advanced nations, a presidential call would not only be backed by a picture of an allegedly vegetable president but a recorded audio evidence but in Nigeria all we have is the president taking pictures with some overzealous governors supposedly at his abuja house in London and calls and more calls with no evidence whatsoever. This is a slap on the intelligence of the over 180m Nigerians.

I want to believe this recent episode is just the brain child of people who only want to garner traffic using this story due to its sensitive nature as I can't seem to find any aso rock source or governor obiano himself confirming the call from Mr president.
I once used to have a friend, Edi, from anambra state who never went home for any holidays whatsoever, and when I queried, he said there was no point of going home if you don't have a bottomless sack of cash with which to measure up alongside your age mates back home as he would be a laughing stock even amongst his own very family. This paints a picture of a society where all that matters is money and nothing else. That's the reason why you have this kind of scenario where the drug crimes of one man is been revenged on his kinsmen.
As an undergraduate, my friend okechukwu from IMO state once told me how he had already concluded arrangements to push drug to Singapore. When I rehearsed all the possible consequences with him, he seemed to back down until travelling to Lagos a few years later never to be heard from again. All these just to make sure you're fitting in, competing alongside your age mates. Suffice to say okey is (was) one of the most intelligent and creative persons I ever met but the blood rush for money among the Igbo's (although not all) apparently caught up with him.

It is good to make money and a lot of it but not to the extreme where it puts one's life or another's in jeopardy.

May the souls of the dead in Ozubulu rest in peace and the perpetrators of this massacre either directly or indirectly be brought to face the full wrath of the law.

Personally I have had experiences that demonstrate in clear terms that God exists.

Knowledge of reaction kinetics and the rate constant can be useful for food storage and processing. Drying is majorly considered in storage before packaging. I was talking about food processing and storage in general, and l used kinetics as an illustration in terms of useful knowledge in processing and storage. Here the rate constant is important in processing. Drying then takes place( a physical process) to remove water or even inhibit microbial activities as the case may be.

OK. Basically, I'm just talking about the process the lady is indulging in which is remove water from fish to preserve it (like you pointed out). I was thinking along the line of having a more automated dryer, where the temperature profile can be better monitored or modelled, in which case drying rate and all that comes to play but I think this would be tough given the source and method of heating.

What if l tell you the way she sells her fish and the way she packaged it is evidence of knowledge in a branch of chemical engineering, food technology(500 level) and Entrepreneurship in process Engineering(400 level).
With a higher capital, she can combine this with chemical reaction kinetics to help her preserve food, and chemical engineering deals with process optimization and Bioprocessing that allows for large tonnes per annum.
Food Processing is an elective in Chemical Engineering, though l didn't take it.
Chemical engineering is not all about oil, it's anything that has to do with conversion of raw materials and mass production in an optimal way, just that in Nigeria it has been regulated to just a small part of its' make up(oil and gas).

What chemical reaction kinetics are you talking about in drying? Drying is a physical process which does not involve reaction, basically what is removed is water. I'd appreciate if you enlighten me more on your perspective.
