well in the past, it has been used as an excuse for rape. There was nothing like 'say no to rape' people used to blame the victim then, thinking about it now, the present rapists might have been products of the society who found a way to blame the victims, so now even tho you did nothing wrong by saying women should dress decently, they just interpret it to mean 'indecent dressing justifies rape' .

A man can be seduced but it's only a rapist that can rape. Most rape victims are children, even if a rapist is with a Muslim woman totally covered in a lonely secret situation, he would still rape as long as he knows the person in question is a woman. It is not wrong to tell women to dress decently, even tho this can never be used as an excuse for rape. Rapists look for the most vulnerable people ( children, house helps) not necessarily those who dress provocatively. A sexy woman may attract a man, but only a rapist can rape a woman.

I remember as a teenager in secondary school been an only son, I was labelled dangerous and unpredictable.
I was accused of stealing and selling a nylon sealing machine by my mother.
Neighbours were called to persuade me to confess who I sold it to. A whole scene was made on me.
Only for the machine to be found in the very room it was kept.
The damage was done already, but then as a teenager, I beared no grudge and moved on with life.
However, as I reminisce on my teenage years now, I feel she wasn't fair to me.

church is not compulsory, you can decide to stay at home but its not the same for schools, if school is on session then students or pupils have to go but its not compulsory to go to church.

Certainly there is more to this story, she was alone in the shop, is the shop in a secluded place? She didn't shout? Was the shop locked? What do they sell in the shop?

you cannot chain him against his wish, he has a right to drink, he has a right to be jobless, he has a right not to get married. You cannot deny him his rights as a human being because you are trying to help, in as much as I can imagine how painful it is to see your loved one in a situation like that, you still have to understand that you cannot force him to be responsible.

Since he is not ready to stop, little can be done for him cos even if he's taken to a rehabilitation center or so, it might be against his rights as a human being, drinking alcohol is not illegal in Nigeria. He can only be 'helped' to stop drinking if and only if he is ready to stop
