Andre Uweh:Definitely, it's a cheering news. I got the news on Chelsea website and I have been popping my champagne since then. Blue is the colour; Chelsea is the name. With Chelsea, you can never go wrong. |
All I have to say is that those people at the helm of affairs in this country are playing with the lives of Nigerians just like some people did in Ghana but are no where to find under the sun as I'm typing this reply. ![]() Time will always tell! |
Google accepts Nigerians. As for making money via Google adsense, you need patience. There's no magic wand that makes money for you unless you want to get yourself banned by clicking on your ads by yourself. |
Have special plans this 09/09/09? Everyone from brides and grooms to movie studio execs are celebrating the upcoming calendrical anomaly in their own way. In Florida, at least one county clerk's office is offering a one-day wedding special for $99.99. The rarity of this Sept. 9 hasn't been lost on the creators of the iPod, who have moved their traditional Tuesday release day to Wednesday to take advantage of the special date. Focus Features is releasing their new film "9," an animated tale about the apocalypse, on the 9th. Not only does the date look good in marketing promotions, but it also represents the last set of repeating, single-digit dates that we'll see for almost a century (until January 1, 2101), or a millennium (mark your calendars for January 1, 3001), depending on how you want to count it. Though technically there's nothing special about the symmetrical date, some concerned with the history and meaning of numbers ascribe powerful significance to 09/09/09. For cultures in which the number nine is lucky, Sept. 9 is anticipated - while others might see the date as an ominous warning. Math magic Modern numerologists - who operate outside the realm of real science - believe that mystical significance or vibrations can be assigned to each numeral one through nine, and different combinations of the digits produce tangible results in life depending on their application. As the final numeral, the number nine holds special rank. It is associated with forgiveness, compassion and success on the positive side as well as arrogance and self-righteousness on the negative, according to numerologists. Though usually discredited as bogus, numerologists do have a famous predecessor to look to. Pythagoras, the Greek mathematician and father of the famous theorem, is also credited with popularizing numerology in ancient times. "Pythagoras most of all seems to have honored and advanced the study concerned with numbers, having taken it away from the use of merchants and likening all things to numbers," wrote Aristoxenus, an ancient Greek historian, in the 4th century B.C. As part of his obsession with numbers both mathematically and divine, and like many mathematicians before and since, Pythagoras noted that nine in particular had many unique properties. Any grade-schooler could tell you, for example, that the sum of the two-digits resulting from nine multiplied by any other single-digit number will equal nine. So 9x3=27, and 2+7=9. Multiply nine by any two, three or four-digit number and the sums of those will also break down to nine. For example: 9x62 = 558; 5+5+8=18; 1+8=9. Sept. 9 also happens to be the 252nd day of the year (2 + 5 +2), Loving 9 Both China and Japan have strong feelings about the number nine. Those feelings just happen to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. The Chinese pulled out all the stops to celebrate their lucky number eight during last year's Summer Olympics, ringing the games in at 8 p.m. on 08/08/08. What many might not realize is that nine comes in second on their list of auspicious digits and is associated with long life, due to how similar its pronunciation is to the local word for long-lasting (eight sounds like wealth). Historically, ancient Chinese emperors associated themselves closely with the number nine, which appeared prominently in architecture and royal dress, often in the form of nine fearsome dragons. The imperial dynasties were so convinced of the power of the number nine that the palace complex at Beijing's Forbidden City is rumored to have been built with 9,999 rooms. Japanese emperors would have never worn a robe with nine dragons, however. In Japanese, the word for nine is a homophone for the word for suffering, so the number is considered highly unlucky - second only to four, which sounds like death. Many Japanese will go so far as to avoid room numbers including nine at hotels or hospitals, if the building planners haven't already eliminated them altogether. What do you think about 9 9 9? |
LEWAKOTI:I need more details from you because you sound genuine. What are the requirements including financial involvement. |
jaylinaa:@jaylinaa, I like you the way you are and how you presented your opinion here. I wouldn't mind having a chat with you if you wouldn't mind. My Yahoo ID is raymondedeh. As for the topic, everything in life boils down to taste. What you see as high maintenance maybe no maintenance to another person. I believe in moderation. |
As for qualification, The Super Eagles will still qualify but Yobo has to go apologize to all Nigerians for making such a freaking brainless comment. |
Blame It On Me! I was the one that asked them to play entertaining football. ![]() They were so soaked in what I asked them to do that they forgot to score more goals in order to win the match. I'm sorry for asking them to do what they should not do. ![]() |
Only God can stop Chelsea from lifting the CL this season. Once bitten twice shy! What about thrice |
I have used juju to play football before but it disappointed me. I have been looking for the babalawo to snuff life out of him but to no avail. Juju does not work in football. |
meemiluv:You know exactly where I'm coming from. I'm still considering producing it but I have not arrived at/made any concrete conclusion/decision. |
edogram.:I'm not planning to go to China to produce fake flash drives as you called them. You have to understand that Chinese products that are "fake shit" are so because some Nigerians are looking for very cheap, almost free or totally free products. If you give a Chinese man specifications on what you want your product to look like he will give you what you want. Come to think of it, you must not go to China! |
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is nicknamed Ibracadabra ![]() |
xtremious:You can't say it better than this but you have no business replying to such old thread. |
Hi All, I conceived this business idea some weeks ago and I think the product will sell like wild fire here in Nigeria. What is the product? Flash drive! Yes, computer users all over the world use flash drive but this particular flash drive will be customized in such a way that it will be like a necklace. The flash drive will hang from the necklace as a pendant. Then, the names of popular European football clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, etc. will be engraved on the flash drive. I hope this little explanation has shown you where I'm coming from and where I'm going to. Meanwhile, there are several firms in China that can produce such flash drive at a very low price so that it can attract buyers. What do you think? |

Hi, One of my friends want to sign up with a driving school in Port Harcourt but I can't really be of any help to him because I never attended any in PH and I just came into the city. Please, is there anybody in the house that knows about any reliable/competent driving school(s) in PH? I would also like to know their terms of service such as duration, cost of training, and so on. Thank you. |
Believe me, no amount is too small and no amount is too big. let this be at the back of your mind: No company can pay you what you really worth. ![]() Go figure! |
IFELEKE:I don't believe in impossibility and I have proved that many times. If we can brainstorm very well I think the noble idea will work out but we need the full support of the forum's Administrator, Seun Osewa. Collectively, we can make it work out. Honestly, I cry when I see young people with noble business ideas but lack the wherewithal to implement the idea. Currently, I'm working on a personal project to put smile on the faces of some youths on Nairaland but I think it's not enough. If you can conceive it and believe it, you will achieve it. I'm a witness. We only need to eschew greed and selfishness, which are the two greatest vices among Nigerians. |
MrCrackles:I actually saw a thread/topic on the subject started by a member with username "anizzle". The thread dates back to October, 2006. Here is the link to the thread: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-28526.0.html |
I discovered that way back in 2006, there was an issue raised concerning setting up a co-operative society for Nairaland members so that members can contribute money that will be used to help other members that have stellar business ideas but lack financial backup. Please can someone, especially the old members of this high profile forum, be kind and God-spirited enough to tell me what really happened to the idea because IMO I think the idea is a good one. |
The fact is that the girl is in love with you but the truth is that she just likes you. Please don't be carried away with her childish idiosyncrasy. All the same, love and care for her like your younger sister. Please don't hang out with her as if you are hanging out with an adult. |

Be extremely cautious in all your dealings. Forex is a good business, no doubt, but you have to be very very careful because 99% of those that train people on forex has never made a dime on forex. Go figure! |
I have always said that this whole thing is a movie though a boring one that has several boring parts. Anyway, I salute all the actors and actresses. I'm not impressed at all. |
My father has always said that before a man will deceive others he will, first of all, deceive himself. Good riddance to bad rubbish. LOL. ![]() |

But boy, do I look so good!
