No one has ever seen God according to scripture - John1:18.

Only Angels of God has communicated to both man & woman.

VictoriaBee:
It's not.
Bible made it clear that all humans are equal.
It also opined that marriage is a thing of choice not compulsory..
Yes! All humans are equal...
The position of headship is FIRST among equals.

We are all humans, regardless of our gender, but a queen can never have equal rights with a king. Man came first, if it were to be the other way round, I believe women would have clinch the position of headship, as it has become a source of dispute between male & female. But unfortunately for them, God created man first, out of the man a woman was made, this automatically consign women to second position, because they came second on the list of human creation.

If another gender was created after women, they would have been able to lord over that gender, because it would have been third on the list. So by God's design(nature), man is first, I presume u know what that means when it comes to rights.

The authority God placed on man is overwhelming, God gave man the mandate to name all the plants & animals. We had different instances in the bible were God communicated with man directly, I doubt if there is any record as regards a woman.

My dear, bible perspective about equality obviously preach & supports women playing second fiddle to men, which seems unfair to the women folks. This is why people tag feminism as anti-christ, because its ideologies oppose God's design. I know everyone wants to be celebrated, everyone wants to be the head, but God doesn't make mistakes, he knows best. Perhaps if he had created man & woman with same traits, physique & attitude, probably it would have been a mundane world.

Just adjust ur perception about equality, see headship as first among EQUALS, not in the superiority context. We are all humans, but man came first, not by his own design, but by God's design. Hierarchy is imperative in every facet of life. Be it work, school, governance, etc.....

Kudos to you for fighting the Urge to Fight your Step-dad.
And to your Mother, Tell her that She is a brave woman for Standing up for herself and leaving her abuser. She is a Strong woman.
Things to do.
1) If you or your mum have any belongings left in the man's house, Go and get it.(Best to go with your friends)
2) cut off all communication with your step dad.
3) Keep encouraging your mum. Tell her she did the right thing.
4) Take pictures of your mum and her bruises in case you want to pursue legal action (Although I doubt that domestic violence is a crime in Nigeria).

There is NO REASON WHATSOEVER for a man to turn a woman into a punching bag. No reason to beat your wife at all.
Shaaraaap!!!!!!
What do u mean by there is NO REASON WHATSOEVER for a man to beat a woman? This is were woman get it wrong, propagating bias ideologies to suit their selfish interest. What if it was the woman that instigated the fight, by assaulting the man first? Or u think women don't instigate, incite and engage in fights?

Haven't u see women mistreating & beating their children? Even if a woman slaps a man, beat his mum, he shouldn't retaliate because she is a woman? How would u feel if u & ur mother got beaten & chased out by ur brother's wife upon a visit, will u still be saying this statement, or u don't know some women are wild?

if it was me i would fight the man, my dad beat my mom while i was growing up and all i could do was watch, when he died i felt no tears for him even till now maybe Karma caught up with him. Man who beat women are weak and deserve death. That's my opinion.

@OP ensure you too don't inherit that part because my step-brother ended up following suit he beats his wife, sometimes i can't look at his face without showing disgust i know women are crazy but beating a lady is a no-no
Men who beat's women deserve death!
Haba! that is not a good thing to say, just punishment commensurate with the offence.

Wishing death for a woman beater, is entirely iniquitous...

Did u use 1.44sqm basket for all d columns, judging by some space provided in d trench, I doubt if it can accommodate a 1.2 by 1.2m basket. But d foundation is very deep, even on a dry land, nice work!

Pls try to upload more pix, it helps to give clear understanding of d construction process...

let me give you a small breakdown sir.
gravel are sold in tonnes,
1 tonne = 1000kg
we all know the relationship between mass and volume, you headpan, bucket or any other working materials has volume, such relationship is density = mass/volume
all you need to do is get the volume of the head pan or bucket, get the density of such aggregates ( e.g gravel with density of about 2400kg/m3. sharp sand with density of 1600kg)

from the above, simply make volume = mass/density
and then divide the result by volume of your head pan or bucket to get the number of head pan in it.

Note that:
1. a trip of any material is subject and depends on the carriage capacity of the tipper, we have 30tonnes trip of gravel, we have 15tonne trip of gravel.

2. for sand, we buy in bucket, we have 3 bucket equivalent to 15 tonnes
U're bless... Where do u reside?
PropertiesRe: How Do You Guys Feel About An Open Kitchen/living Room Floor Plan? by snakebeat: 4:28pm On Jun 21, 2015
Environment is a crucial factor when it comes to architecture.
Dis kind of open design encourage free flow architecture, america architecture. It's less complex and simple. Though it's good to explore new ideas, I wouldn't advise this in nigeria, considering weather & other factors.

There should be a partition wall btw kitchen and d living room. If at all u still want to introduce it in ur design, d open space can include dining & kitchen, d living room should be excluded. D weather here is hot. D kind of kitchen activities we practice is gonna detract from d congenial atmosphere of d living room, consider steam & d likes.

1/7 is the ratio of cement in the mix 1:2:4 ( where cement = 1, sand =2, gravel =4, sum of all ratio = 7)

4 number of reinforcement is the number specified by the design engineer. structurally, one can only have even number of column eg. 4, 6, 8, 10 etc
Thank u very much.

I can see another reinforcement on top d bld height, was is it for?
PropertiesRe: The Construction Of 14 Class Room At Emuhoa Community Rivers State by snakebeat: 11:46am On Jun 20, 2015
abdulwastecx:
for the columns
the height of 6'' block is = 225m
15 courses = 15 x 225 = 3375mm
assuming a thickness of mortar of 2omm = 20 x 15 = 300mm
total height of column = 3375 + 300 = 3.675m

column reinforcement length = main height ( 3.675) + bottom anchorage ( 0.15) + top anchorage (0.15) = 3.975m
y12 length is 12.3m, No of bars = 12.3/4 = 3bars

Bar required per column = 4
total Number = 4 x 15 = 60
No of bars required = 60/3 = 20bars for the longitudinal reinforcement

for the rings using Y8 and spacing of 300mm c/c
length of links for a rectangular column of 225 x 150 ( due to the 6'' side) and allowing for cover of 20mm
L= 900mm
Number of links in a column with 3000mm spacing = 13 links
No of L in one length of bar = 12.3/0.9 = 13links
Total number of Y8 required for the link = 15Y8

for the concrete
volume of concrete = 0.225 x 0.15 x 4 =0.135m3/column
total volume of all the 15 columns = 0.135 x 15 =2.025m3
using a mix ratio of 1:2:4
part of cement = 2.025 x 1/7 x 1506/50 =9bags of cement ( use 12 bags allowance for shrinkage and wastage)
part of sand = 2.025 x 2/7 x 1.6 =1tonnes of sharp sand
part of gravel = 2.025 x4/7 x 2.4 = 3tonnes of gravel

summary for the column reinforcement
s/n Descriptions Quantity unit rate amount
1. Y12 20 Nr N1,200 N24,000
2. Y8 15 Nr N800 N12,000
3. Dangote cement 12 bag N2,000 N24,000
4. sharp sand 1 tonne N 3,00 N3,000
5. Gravel 3 tonne N 8,000 N24,000 ( port Harcourt price)

6. workmanship N36,000
Total = N123k ( minus the cost of formwork)
Thank u for d explanation sir. But as regards
part of cement = 2.025 x 1/7 x 1506/50, how did u come abt 1/7?

Bar required per column = 4, how also did u come abt this 4? Or it's standard?

So you bypassed the better idea of having an equal representation of both sexes in the house to crying about extremities such as majority rule? *roll eyes*
Why are you scared though? Patriarchy has been dishing out biased laws all of a sudden you don't want the same to happen to you? Talk about hypocrisy. grin
Since women have suffered thousands of years of biased laws being thrown at them, I'm sure your innate instincts to survival would allow you fare appropriately well under the new dispensation if equality is not achieved. I don't mind giving you some training on how to be humble and docile under our rule sha.
What do u mean by equal representation?
It's a democratic system, legislative positions are entirely democratical. So I don't see the level of women participation in politics as men's fault. The dicey state of our political terrain is not for the lily livered, this tend to scare people away. No one is restraining women from partaking in politics. Or u want nigerians to elect a woman as a president on the premise of gender?
If I may ask, what biased laws are u talking about?
