vivacious vivi: Thank you for been such a model example of how good parenting should be done. This case shouldn't be taken at face value. It takes a whole lot for any one - be it an adolescent or an adult to attempt suicide. Practically all suicidal cases are performed by people who suffer from deep emotional, physiological trauma. We hav no idea what they went through within their domestic settings or among their peers. Such people r hurting deeply inside. Unfortunately, if parents or gaurdians do not notice and try to act upon various tell-tale signs when their kids r going thru various phases of depression, then suicide rates may continue to increase.

Its extremely unfortunate when an individual feels that snuffing their life is probably d best way out. It causes nothing but more grief to all who they left behind. May their souls rest in peace.

kulyie: Everything in life is about planning.how can a couple get carried away by mushiness that they cant find an apartment before they say i do.what kind of foolishness is that.d best thing to avoid squatting with parents which will attract insults and disrespects especially when your stay is getting to long and you are beginning to be seen as a nuisance aroud is to get an apartment ready like 5 months before your weding.d couple should both contribute money and Behind it up to their taste.as a matter of fact getting where to stay and money to maintain d house is of more importance and priority than the fan fare of wedding.afterall after wedding,all d well wishers will go back to their respective pkaces and marriage will start,so the best thing to avoid all that nonesense is for both couple to have a job that can sustain them and d lil visitor that will soon b on d way and have a roof over their head instead of doing big wedding and now renting a house or looking for were to squat,it simply makes no sense.if a man allows his wife to squat with her parents from where i come from especially after wedding or early yrs in their marriage,when its getting to like two weeks or a month,its like asking for disrespect for d man,u will start hearing side talks from d mother of d woman that are u sure u r a man @ all.if u know ure nt ready to take up d responsibilities of marriage,y did u marry,infact ur wifes younger siblings will start disrespectin d man and d wife,dependin on families,some will say it out.to cut d long story short,no family member from d ladys side where i come will ever respect d man again.even if he is rich tomorow,dey wil stil remind him how he was nothing and how dey helped him cover his shame by accomodating his wife in d house.d wife sef go hearam because if she goes to d kitchen to take food,dey wil tel her to go n collect money frm her husband dat her husbands place does nt extend here

edicolove: This is my humble take:

1. I know the Ibos feel betrayed by the Yorubas and Ijaws but to continue to fight ourselves is only making the core north have the dominance. We are only playing into their hands.
2. I think the Yorubas should drop their pride on this and admit that the decision to side with the North against Biafra is what we are all suffering today. If we had kept to the Aburi accord, we would have been a different country today.
3. The continous disagreement between the Ibos and Yorubas is costing us all. Even the middle belt has opted out of the North. The plateau state governor did not even attend the last Northern govs meeting.
4. The Niger Delta has realised that it was a mistake to side with the North against Biafra. A big mistake. The Ibos truly can be domineering in terms of coming into your place to owns businesses, but Ibo communities easily blend in with their host communities and even learn the language fast. They don't come together as Ibos to fight their host except when they are being targeted like you have in the North. Ibos and Yorubas have lived together peacefully in the south west for ages.
5. Having said the above, I make bold to say that the day the Ibos, Yorubas, Southern Minorities agree on federalism, the core North will keep shut. Especially now that the middle belt are extracting themselves from the mix.
6. I will say this, though I know it might be controversial. I think the muslim Yorubas are the ones aligning mostly with the North. They seem to allow their religion blind them into believing that the core north are their brothers. But unfortunately, the core North don't even regard them as true muslims. In many mosques in the North, Yoruba muslims pray separately from the hausa muslims. I even observed something funny somewhere in Lagos. Some of my. Yoruba Muslim guys once complained that the hausa aboki refused to join them in their normal prayer. He would either pray on his own in a secluded corner or wait for everyone to finish praying before going into the mosque to do his own praying. I thought they were kidding until I actually observe him doing it, myself.
7. Finally, anyone who says they can stand aside in a war has no clue. Even if you don't ask for it, it will get to you. Many communities were sacked during the civil war. They didn't do anything. It is what war brings. So the only way to secure ourselves is to come together and fight. Only a mad cow infested northern army will go to war against a united southern Nigeria. They won't survive one month at most. But a divided southern Nigeria is going to be a completely different kettle of fish. But believe me too, a united south east and south south is also a formidable group. A combination of the will, the population and the oil is a good bet anyday

edicolove: Hahahahahaha! The work of propaganda! How can too much rain make a dam to produce more power than its installed capacity. The combined capacity of Kainji and Shiroro is 1360MW. Even if Noahs rain fall, the capacity will not increase more than that. Its like saying a car now runs at 350km/h because the tank is full. Lwbmb! (Laugh wan break my back!) Ignorance is a luxury.

Don't mind USA, they paid me lesser money so d injectn I gave them wasn't strong enough for the competition.
