Yes, you know me in AU thread sharing information. Well, do you know what's changed since 2017 and now? Oftentimes, I provide response to people's questions on this thread does that change my location to NZ?
It's fine for you to make assumptions, but you're assertive with your assumptions which isn't right and fair.
davodyguy:

No, I think you're perceiving it wrongly.
Solin and I ha r been pals here since my 2017 AU trip that we shared information.

I think I visited AU before he did and thought he was processing AU 2 years ago. This is the sole reason I asked. It's very harmless

Thank you for your reasonable response.
I appreciate your time and effort.
However, welding, teaching and other vocational jobs need to be registered before applying for a talent work visa through an accredited employer.
Kindly clarify that.
ugsams:

My answer will be biased based on my experience here. I will say it's mostly trades such as welding. I have seen lots of my colleagues been hired from overseas, and many others who are already here move jobs easily. I think welding job is promising here and it's mostly in Skill shortage lists of most countries. However, in Nigeria, most trades are highly underated. we look at them as a poor man's job and as such we don't have a proper system for apprenticeship or internationally recognised vocational education framework/certification.

In addition to these, I have seen Nurses, Teachers, and just few weeks ago my colleague's brother came on a work visa to work for a forestry company.

You can also check the accredited employer list and see what's in there for you. Here is the link

@Femijck and other knowledgeable person.

I have been observing recently news from New Zealand about job availability with scarce human resources.

I'd like to know what jobs can one apply from Nigeria that can help get an employer to sponsor one?

Thank you in anticipation.

It's not a guarantee for jobs. Some mostly take up a personal residency to avoid visa change challenge every three months. While some is to move on to other countries.
diara21:

Hmmm, thanks for this vital information. My question is this if one have his personal residence visa, does that mean that one is eluded from those menial jobs? And what are the benefit of having a personal residence visa compared to having a tourist visa for Job hunt. Kindly elucidate more on this. Thanks and God bless.
Travel / Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by solin: 8:38pm On Apr 26, 2019
Well said brother. Africans are not given a level playing ground here. It takes grace to get a job in the Finance/Accoujting role here. The Indians, Pakistani, and Filipinos are the most preferred applicants. The job hunt is now 30:70 for those seeking skilled role.
manneger2:

Bros I didn't say I have my own apartment, I only said I have my personal Residence visa now. U get now for my experience in uae is not too bad because I got a 2000aed job within 2wks I came with tourist visa but problem started when the company folded because of mis management and the company Cancelled all his workers, I began again searching for a job before I decided to do my own personal Residence visa. So uae is not easy you will go for interview perform wonderfully well with good attested certificate, they will still take a Filipino or Indians that you might be better than, there by leaving us Africa to do all the labourer/ man power job, my guy I tell you the biggest job for an Africa here now is security which pay between 2000 - 3000aed and top security company is refusing to employ Nigerians now, is not easy I tell u but there are still Nigerians doing wonderfully well expecially in IT industry and medical line. So if u are coming lower ur expectation, work hard and pray.

Yes, you can show POF for each of your kids, wife, an self. You don't need to send money. Print your statement of account and perhaps your wife statement of account, print a travel itenary, your soa should cover your flight tickets. Get a recommendation letter from your bank. Also, you can apply together as a family no need for separate registration.
Olaitaneniola:
Good day everyone, I just got a P.hd admission in Uni. Of Auckland NZ and I intend to travel with my wife and two children. Please advise me if I need to wire the proof of fund to NZ or I can show a statement of account in Nigeria.
Also advise if I need to show 15,000 each for my child of 14 yrs and 7yrs to apply for their student visa.
Also advise what is the alternative for the proof of return flight ticket of 2,000nzd per person, do I also need to wire the money to NZ?

I am still waiting for you to share your excerpts on how you got your job.
seunlaww:
You guys should calm down about entering UAE next Month because of Ramadan. I heard work slow down and most companies don't recruit during the period.

If you're still in the planning process of coming to UAE and you have no skills, I'll suggest you just tryna learn one for a month or two or more. Just have an idea of what the job is about and how to go about it for example AC repair, painting or just look through the dubai job search and see what you have interest in. It's better that way than to enter and be dragging cleaner job with the Filipinos .

Plan ahead because the hustle is very tough and please don't come to UAE without a plan A and B.

If you have attested your results from Nigeria, just head straight to Burjuman at the Ministry of foreign affairs.
Stewart83:
Hello all, I just landed a job offer and I was told to attestate my degree at the ministry of foreign affairs and their embassy and also get a "no criminal report(I think from the police) and attestate it too at the ministry and their embassy. Please what is the process like?
Travel / Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by solin: 3:05pm On Apr 24, 2019
it's important that you do it with all the three.
gentlenoni:

Bro about attesting documents in Abuja, is it compulsory/necessary doing it with all 3, i.e MOE, MOFA and UAE embassy or you can choose to do it with just one of them?
What is the present cost attesting at d UAE embassy?
Thank you!

It is just playing around with English. Attestation is mostly used to confirm that your results are genuine from your home country.

Hi Everyone, I'm a professional resume/cv/cover letter/linkedin profile writer. Your CV is your mouth piece before a potential employer or HR.

Random CV or general CV is just a waste of resources. All you need is a CV that is targeted and industry keywords relevant to your position of interest.

Hi,

Kindly proceed with the application procedure. It's a good step in the right direction. This is a sure path way to enter NZ. Once her application is granted.

You would also get job easily.
anthney87:
Good day all.

Respect to FEMI & SOLIN

PLEASE I want to pour out my own case. I am a B. Sc graduate of Biomedical technology. My wife is a Registered Midwife and just graduated too as a nurse last Dec here.
Now I have been chatting with Christine from the midwifery council of new Zealand and she said I have to follow the process of registering as a midwife in new Zealand. An initial payment of $250NZD to b paid and then if they consider her transcript okay(she did 3yrs midwifery training) with NZ she will be told to continue her application with a full payment of $750NZD. Below is the general information for international Midwife

https://www.midwiferycouncil.health.nz/midwives/becoming-registered-practise/general-information-internationally-qualified-midwives

and below is the guidelines

https://www.midwiferycouncil.health.nz/midwives/becoming-registered-practise/internationally-qualified-midwives-application-guidelines

Now please I want to know since if the council grant her to continue her application if getting a job will be easy since this will make her licence to practice as a midwife in NZ.

Again agencies told me they can only assist to sponsor us( she and 2persons- this is according to what someone said in a thread) only if the council approve her application. please guide and advice us since I am about to begin the application.

can I also be able to do a short course to perfect my skills if we are granted work permit? (my head don cold for book and since I graduate I no practice)

there are series of forms to sign and send by either a notary public, solicitor or a justice of the peace. who are they in Nigeria context. I de suspect lawyer ooo.

I need help o since I need to port out of this country o.

No, it's not necessary to have your certificate with you since you have a company who is ready to sponsor you.
Your certificate can be sent to you later.

It's a difficult task from Nigeria. Reason is that one your skill has to be in skill shortage area, you need 160 points to get EOI, and NZ experience as well.
