Ngokafor: lol!..@op you must be a glutton...see as you dey cry over food...wewewe wetin sef??

...besides should your girlfriends be cooking for you like seriously?..she is not your maid, wife or mother so whats the wailing all about??...you better go get a cook and stop all these complaints or get married and teach your wife how to cook the way you like it..simple.
..
Gluttony?
Are you kidding me?
Do you really know the meaning of gluttony?
So demanding that the only food i get to eat that day at home after a hard day's job is good makes me gluttonous?
It seems you don't realize that it's the ladies that actually consume most of the food and even my money.
I hardly spend on my self nowadays.

2legit2qwt: You're fed up?? Are you a toddler? You sound like it's the sole responsibility of the woman to do the cooking like she's your maid.

If she ca't cook and you can, get in the kitchen man and do the cooking and stop whining and expecting the woman to be your nanny angry angry
I don't have any problem cooking myself,unfortunately i don't have time.

chaircover: This sounds rather strange, that none of the girls that you go out with can cook.

All said and done; If you do find a lady that you like but her only negative is that she cant cook, but as you say, you can cook and if she is a lady ready to learn, then why dont you consider teaching her rather than trowing away an otherwise good relationship

Dont also forget that some people are better at cooking certain foods than others. For example my fried rice is super and people eat my fried rice and tell me to go and become a caterer, I laugh because up until now I avoid cooking ogbonna because I dont feel that confident cooking it. growing up we never cooked it and it was my husband who taught me how to cook it.

also food can taste different to different people. I sometimes come across it at parties, where I may say a dish tastes nice and my husband may say it tastes horrible.

In short, look at the bigger picture. There is much more to a good woman than just cooking. Yes its important to be homely, but dont let the cooking alone cloud everything.

You are probably better off getting that maid, if you want to have good meals every day and Even if you get a girl friend who can cook, surely you cant expect her to sit in your house and cook for you everyday. She is not your wife & she will also have a life of her own.
@chaircover &efemena
Thank you both.
Yes,i know there's more to a woman and i appreciate it,but then i think asking for a gnod cook as a criterion in your would-be wife is not too much to ask.
It's not as if i'm too demanding, afterall i would only end up eating at home once in a day which is at night when i come back home and i want that one meal to be good.
I'm not looking for a housewife,i just want someone that can balance her home-duties with her work.
My mum was never a housewife but she was able to prepare good meals for her household regurlarly.
And yes,i've told 2 different ladies to go to cooking school, but they got very angry and since then i've stopped telling them.

I'm a chemical engineer, based in PH and i have a serious issue troubling me.
I don't want to sound conceited but the ladies i've dated can't cook and it's giving me serious cause for concern.
I'm a good cook myself, but unfortunately i don't have time as my job is so strenous that it sometimes requires me to shuttle between 3 states and i get home too tired to even take off my clothes, let alone cook.
I had to break up with the last woman in my life due to this same issue.
She asked me to give her N50,000 to stuff my kitchen which i did and that was after bragging to me how good a cook she was.
Unfortunately,i was repeatedly disappointed by the poor meals she prepares and i had to call it quit.
I've dated quite a few other ladies before her,yet they were all the same and a number of them have actually landed me at my company hospital due to runny stomach.
The few times i get to travel to see my mother,i end up taking away much food which has led to her asking me questions about the the women in my life.
Infact,i reduced the frequency of my visits to avoid those questions she asks me.
Nowadays,i come back home from work late and very tired and i just go straight to bed hungry despite having a significantly- stuffed kitchen.
I'm frustrated and i'm thinking of asking my mum to get me a good, educated wife that can cook.
I'm not one to delegate such sensitive matters to parents, but then it seems i've no choice.
I've been advised to get a maid, but the thing is i just don't trust them with my food and i don't want to put myself in compromising situations that may dent my reputation.
I want to know if there're people who have been in the same situation with me and how they solved it.

Mscheww.
Country that should've been divided a long time ago.
Yes,it's true, none of the countries that will emerge will have as much potential or international clout as Nigeria as a matter of fact, but then we have no choice but to divide.

thegoodjoehunt: grin
Ferguson never sold Anderson. Anderson is still at Man Utd. How come Mikel flourished at the nations and confederations cup playing in an advanced role?
Sorry, anderson is still at united but has been relegated to the background.
He was just like mikel with all the hype, unfortunately he was not good enough.
Mikel would've suffered the same fate.
And btw,he didn't do anything special at the confederations club afterall we were only able to beat tahiti, and onazi was actually the very mobile and over-worked partner in our midfield thereby reducing the negative effect of mikel's immobility to an extent.
Onazi was doing the work of two players!!
mikel will never play as a number 10 for big football nations or clubs.
SportsRe: Iheanacho, Father Fall-out Over FC Porto, Chelsea Move by solomon111(m): 9:50am On Nov 26, 2013
thegoodjoehunt: Mikel in the U20 was rated above Fabregas, Silva, Aguero, Llorente. Mikel was rated as the next Zinedine Zidane. In the finals against Argentina, the commentator said that the world can see the proof why Man Utd and Chelsea were fighting over him.

Alex Ferguson flew twice to Norway to beg Mikel to join Man Utd. Today we can't call Silva, Fabregas or Aguero and put Mikel's name.

Mikel in 7 years has never played his natural role for Chelsea. He might be playing games and earning money but he hasn't reached his true potential because of a wrong choice.
If you think mikel is good enough to play as a number 10,then you must be deluded.
Mikel is not mobile enough to play as an attacking midfielder and mourinho saw it.
He is at best a deep lying playmaker in the mould of andre pirlo or xabi alonso which is what chelsea wants him to be,and which is what mikel himself should aspire to be.
Ferguson would have sold mikel a long time ago, just like he sold anderson when he could not justify the hype as the best young talent in brazil at that time.
PoliticsRe: Akpabio Challenges Aggrieved Governors To Leave PDP by solomon111(m): 7:49am On Nov 26, 2013
Akpabio has done 'enough' as governor to warrant respect.
If every governor was as pragmatic and sophisticated as akpabio,Nigeria would have been a 1st world country by now.

rexbuton: He should sign for fc porto because chelsea and man city dont have sufficient youth development programmes... And he would be moulded properly instead of being rushed
Chelsea has one of the best youth devt programmes on the planet.
The problem is that they don't trust the youth in the main team.

Some people just travel out without investigating the laws and receptiveness of the country they want to immigrate to,and then they start disturbing everybody when they are caught breaking those laws or when the locals begin to persecute them for flooding their country.
If i were the president, the only set of people i would intervene on their behalf would be the minors.
The rest are on their own.
Nonsense.

annawhite: Well I was a bully in school and wasn't lucky to remain in the same school for a whole session
I was always getting expelled from one school to another.......if I wasn't getting into a fight with a senior student ,I would lead a gang of nonentities* to another school to start trouble.
Moving from one school to another,I got bored and change my ways (at least that was what I tot)so I played cool until a new boy was admitted to my class and from every indication I knew he was in love with me and I was so excited that ill finally get to be someone girlfriend since all d boys wouldn't want to have anything to do with me.
My excitement was short-lived cos some girl from my former school snitched*on me and told him how I once held a guy by the blokos until he passed out(I'm now a changed person) and the guy ditched me. Mehn I couldn't handle it",the first n only boyfriend I ever had in secondary school,I didn't take it lightly .....we got into a fight, out of fury I bit off her lower lip, I regret ever maiming a fellow girl cos of a boy
Na wa o.
Na which kind girl you be?
You remind me of my younger sister back in the days.
She was storbborn as hell.
I spent my growing years trying to discipline her into shape, though she has changed for good now.

mexxy1: @ Op, the caption of your picture and story is misleading..... The picture posted is of a particular school in Nigeria and if your intention is to bring to light the plight of those kids then, you should appropriately caption your post including the name and location of the school. That way, the attention of the authorities concerned in that area willl be drawn to it.
Generalizing it as a Nigerian system is an insult to your nation and the only thing you've succeeded in doing here is rubbish the image of an entire nation to the international community.
I am a proud Rivers man and I can challenge you that schools in my state are not in the state of the picture you have put up and I believe others from different states within the country can counter your claims.
Let's try to be objective and paint a proper picture when trying to draw attention of the authorities to situations.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I find it hard to believe that kind of school is in Nigeria.
Even the core-North like borno and yobe have far better schools than that.
EducationRe: Photo Of A Secondary School Classroom In Nigeria. by solomon111(m): 3:09pm On Nov 22, 2013
Btw,i'll take this with a pinch of salt.
There's no proof that the secondary school is in Nigeria.
We've seen cases on nairaland where people take pictures of dilapidated prisons,hospitals,e.t.c. in other african countries and claim they are in Nigeria.

Backward people.
How can you stone people to death regardless of offense in the 21st century?
And these are the same people practising paedophilia as a culture.
