Do u know the number of revolutions and changes these countries u mentioned, especially russia and china, have had to go through before achieving economic prosperity? Even with all their wealth, they still have internal conflicts between their various ethnic nationalities. Unless congo wants to be ruled as a communist state or a dictatorship, where the centre exerts all the power over the entire country, there is no way the country will be stable under a democracy. They will ultimately go the way of Sudan.

Which is why i've always said that democracy is probably not the best government for african nations.
We need highly disciplined,patriotic group of leaders with elite brains and high-level mental visioning that would take the bulls by the horn and effect some painful measures that will correct this systemic and fundamental dysfunctionalities in our country.
Democracy is for very matured nations.

Christianity was once persecuting pple but as time goes on, pple cried out and the persecution stopped. Pple read and cross check events in d bible for themselves now. The world is seriously evolving, some achaic traditions r left behind while we embrace new ones. Islam on d other hand should learn to move along with the world and be less rigid. U don't expect rules of that time to be applied in today's world.

Then again, to those that know what true islam means, they r exceptionally good. Just like those that know what true christianity is.

My firt trip to Dubai was planned to the teeth by a muslim biz patner in Kano that I don't know from Adams except that I buy goods from him. I will enter his shop and sit down with him. While some of his brothers in sabon gari mkt sees that as a taboo and always try to remind him, he simply saw it as mkting strategy and no big deal. He was very encouraging and helpful. That is what I call liberal minded. His action alone will make me to praise islam and not the things I c some pple do.

I called my friend this morning to please help me get a maid prepare my food before i got home today.
Imagine my surprise to find the maid still in my house at 12.30pm when i got home today.
She said it wasn't proper for her to leave before meeting me,and i already asked her to stay the night since it was midnight already.
And the meal is quite decent.
May God save me from temptation.

So yes,i've actually tried to encourage them to improve.
And there was nowhere in my post i said i enjoyed only my mother's cooking.
I've actually eaten good meals that were not cooked by mother.
