Ndoz: foolish nigerians...smhBrainless Nigerian. |
y2kaustin: ...how old are you?,you just sold yourself out with your comment. His comment makes sense, yours doesn't. How does destroying government properties (which were bought using the money they paid as tax) help their cause? SMH. |
Olodostein: We need to develop and expand within our context.Okay. I am actually in agreement with what he wrote. Societies develop through a mixture of foreign and home grown policies that fit them which explains why the IMF and World Bank policies have failed in places like Nigeria. If you check through the transcripts and the videos of the debates; Africa wasn't mentioned at all which tells you how we are viewed by the Americans (both Republican & Democrat). We are still seen as a market economy; a means of stimulating growth and job opportunities for their own citizens. |
@santakris Seriously dude, why this long drivel? WTF? ![]() |
*Yawns* Don't you guys get tired of recycling these old stuff? These are not the first elections held by the U.S.A and they won't be the last. If we have not learned anything from the old ones, what new things will the 2012 ones teach us? |
thelastPope: I do not necessarily have anything against putting money into the economy like the auto bailouts. What I do have something against is the overall economic ideology that liberalism preaches. It will never work in real life. If you study history you will notice an interesting pattern right from the very first Egyptian empire till date. That pattern is this. Great empires and economies were built by oligarchys and at their peak, they were destroyed by democracy. Please do a study of history and you will notice this pattern. Now that may sound elitist a bit, but if you open your mind to understand, you will appreciate the findings. Democracy is great but it poses one big problem. Selfish men can exploit the poor masses by appealing to their sentiments and getting their votes. The poor masses will have a false sense of fufilment that they are actually calling the shots but they are always eventually the biggest victims of any crash. As much as many shout about bush wars, the biggest economic danger America faces, is a faling social security.I understand what you are saying, that is why I fear for our gung-ho approach to copying anything Western. Anyways let's not spam the thread; congratulations to the Americans on their elections. E.O.D!!!! |
idowuswap: Igbos with dirty mind.well we all know that robbery is a proffessional buziness 4 igbos.why are they using thier poverty life 2 affect other.sincere nigerian.if they can not work then they should go and jump inside ATLANTIC ocean.useless peeps.thieffffffffffIs it that you were this daft when you were born or is it that a leper molested you and gave you gonorrhea; an illness which fried your brain cells? #Justcurious# |
While the GEJ bashing can be funny at times, I fail to see how giving a good speech equates good leadership. Hu Jintao's speeches were snooze-fests yet China is growing with each passing day. The fact that GEJ appears clueless is an indictment on all Nigerians as a nation of clueless people. |
pendusky: Can This makes Nigerian dalies? Hope Our leaders take corectionsDry, try again. |
Brisingr: so america is roughly 200 yr old,my fellow nigerians if the rebellious colony had to wait 200yrs to get here, am sure we haven't done too bad for a 52yr old nation. So because we are a "young country" we should clap for ourselves conveniently forgetting the fact that nations we started with have left us behind abi? SMH |
thelastPope: I never said economists caused the dot com crash, I said people lost money on their advise. That is by the wayYou made a good point but so too did Ijebabe. Obama enunciated his plan more clearly than Romney which helped in swinging independent voters (at least in my opinion). In times of recession, not spending will save money but will record negligible growth while spending MAY spur growth. Obama just has to put in enough incentives to get businesses to stay in the U.S and get those in places like China to relocate back home as well. My concern actually is what are we in Nigeria doing. The fact is this; US job numbers have to go up; now to do that, dead, comatose or new industries will have to spring up (e.g the automotive corporations like G.M, Ford). Then comes the issue of who to buy these products: The BRICS and other nations have serious protectionist laws which will help their own industries so that leaves Africa (NIGERIA), parts of Asia and the Americas as the only viable markets. And given our foreign goods consumption-driven psyche, how will we react? |
Roland17: AND I GAVE U EXAMPLES WITH IMMIGRATION, INTERNATIONAL TRADE, THE UNITED NATIONS AND EDUCATION TO MENTION A FEW, THESE ARE SELF EXPLANATORY I WOULD BELIEVE. HUMBLE YOURSELF SO YOU CAN LEARN....A little learning is a dangerous thing. Let me see if this will help clear things up: WHAT HAS BEEN AND WILL BE OBAMA'S POLICY ON NIGERIA?. |
Roland17: CLEARLY PROVES U BARELY KNOW THIS HANDLE, U CAN READ TEXT BOOKS IF U CARE, OR BETTER STILL AUTO-CHECK MY POSTS FOR PLAGIARISM, I HAVE GIVEN U COGENT QUES , HOPEFULLY I OR SOMEONE ELSE CAN LECTURE U BETTER IN THE FUTURE AND THAT'S IF U ARE HUMBLE ENOUGH TO LEARN.*sighs* I asked a simple question, you failed to answer. Move on bro, you have nothing to teach me. |
Tippy Top: The election has nothing to do with Nigeria true, but American elections are always entertainning because of the important role America plays in world affairs.Simple and concise. Thank you for stating my thoughts jare. |
Roland17: IMMIGRATION, INTERNATIONAL TRADE, UNITED NATIONS, EDUCATION, INFACT I NO GET TIME NOW, I GO LECTURE U LATER... BUT KNOW THAT THE IMPLICATIONS ARE INEVITABLE...*Another Smile* You are reading a textbook to me bro, what is Obama's policy on Nigeria? Simple question. |
Gracious10: How many seats were won by Democrats? Anyone plsRepublicans control the House 204 - 147 Democrats Democrats control the Senate 49 - 44 Republicans (2 Independents) So until the midterms in 2014 which will be far closer than this election, Obama must tread with caution. Bi-partisanship is the only way he can make an appreciable impact. |
Ezeufi: He is a mormon, what do you expect?Seriously? What has his religion got to do with it? |
Roland17: HAVE U EVER HEARD THE TERM FOREIGN POLICY? THIS ELECTION HAS GLOBAL IMPLICATIONS, LOVE IT OR HATE IT..*smiles* And what has America's policy on Nigeria under Obama's administration been? |
balogunsam: Poor Nigerian suffering from poverty of the mind! Garri is your gold shey? You can't imagine the things I have learnt from this election. the debates alone will have analysts and speakers talking for hours and ur here crying garri....smh...smh again and again...He actually makes a valid point, how really does it affect Nigeria as a nation? I understand if it affects Nigerians living over there, influences individuals and Nigerians doing business over there. American policies towards Nigeria will basically be the same (Democrat or Republican). |
taharqa: If you do not know d difference bw borrowings from bond markets (which is for local debts) AND borrowings from institutional lenders (external debts) in terms of interest rates and maturity, why dont you ask questns Or Shut up.Buffoon, answer the questions he asked; if not, shut up and continue being foolish in the silence of your IQ deficient head. |
justwise: [/b]Which mumu snob? No mind all these internet millionaires jare; they are first class paupers. |
afam4eva: I don't know if you guyz have noticed but it's mostly African-American losers that always want to identify with Africa. Highly successful people always tell whoever cares to listen that they're Americans through and through.Afam I owe you one carton of your favorite liquor brand for this comment. Over true dey worry the statement. Check them out; Morris Chestnut (Grade F actor), Angela Basset (Has Been), Louis Farakhan (Noise Maker) e.t.c. Anybody abusing the Williams sisters should be checked in Yaba Right (ARO). So what if their late sister was named Yetunde; last I checked Benin, Cuba, Brazil and other nations had people with names similar to Nigerian ones. Nigerians like over familiarity, we are always looking for famous people to attach to like leeches. |
Arguments over a war in which most of the principal actors are dead and which none of you fools participated shows how incredibly dense you are. Politicians (Arewa, O'dua, Ohaneze, etc) are stealing themselves senseless, you are here deifying your "perceived" tribal superiority and another tribe's "supposed" inferiority. The Civil War is not something to be glossed over and a true resolution should be found but the betrayal complex, the victim complex and the gloating exhibited by some people on this fora is sickening to say the least. Having lived in the South: East, West, Niger-Delta (That term "South South" irritates me to no end), all I have seen is waste, regression and decay. The argument that one region is superior to the other is beyond laughable. Get it through your thick skulls; you collection of blundering idiots, Nigeria will remain one because its in the best interests of everyone (especially politicians)for it to be so. @Okija_Juju: Continue making sense my brother & @afam4eva: I am disappointed in you, you are more intelligent and better than this. |
Default01: Seunfly why u de lie,u fit compare delta wit any state 4 southwest my guy we ar having difficulties nw bt we wold overcom.delta state in terms of healthcare has d best facilities and doctors.asaba airport is working and is a winner even b4 being commissioned.delta state hav nt even taped 1/4 of our resources,we ar buildin a new delta state 4rm d scratch lagos wont see our backs wen we hanes just 50% of our resources.god bless delta state, haters kep hatin while delta state is movingDeltans are highly educated people and you have just embarrassed us with this ridiculously idiotic post of yours. Where is the new Delta and who is building it: that useless, thieving and accursed taxi driver known as Uduaghan? Every thing good about Delta today is as a result of private enterprise; democracy in terms of leadership has been a curse. This astronomical amount of money to rebuild an airport makes no sense whatsoever and is just another convenient avenue to loot. What is Delta supposed to do with two airports? |
awesome_t: [size=20pt]I THINK THE CONTINUOUS INSULT OF THE MAN OF GOD ON THIS FORUM NEEDS TO STOP. EVERY NEGATIVE PRESS ON THE BISHOP GETS FRONT PAGE ON THIS WEBSITE. WHYIf 53 people liked this piece of gutter trash, wonder how many patients are left at Yaba Right (ARO). Someone posted an innocent picture with no negative comments, yet you OLEDEPO worshipers are still not satisfied. |
Naija and entitlement mentality sha: is there any part of the N.B.C code that insists that foreign channels must have a specific allocation to local content and has TRACE violated it in any way? Businesses are meant to make profit and TRACE is not a charitable cause, if playing Nigerian music will help make money for them, they will be all over it like Diezani on "oyel" money. The fact that they choose not to should make us aware that the much hyped billion dollar entertainment industry is a figment of some people's feverish imaginations. What is the rate of investment in the industry? How many pay tax? How many jobs exist or have been created in the industry? What is the industry's contribution to either the G.D.P or social development? How many of them do business as companies registered with the C.A.C? In fact, Nollywood and the music industry have been almost as bad as the thieving politicians in the game of capital flight. I admire the blogger's passion and "patriotism" (even if its kind of on a "notice me" level)but this for me is a non-issue. E.O.D!!!! |
Anybody who knows where Beaf is should please beg him to come back, at least he is a learned goon unlike this akara numbskull. Thank God it was Reuters who reported this and not Sahara Reporters. Abati has by his utterances given credence to insinuations that the report is factual and there is a plan to cover it up and I wait to see how it plays out. |

I asked a simple question, you failed to answer. Move on bro, you have nothing to teach me.
