So Abati and co lied about: 1.Patience's health 2. The negotiations with Boko Haram http://www.informationnigeria.org/2012/11/boko-haramfg-i-can-confirm-to-you-that-talks-are-ongoing-at-the-background-reuben-abati.html 3. The Manitoba Contract http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/news/76-hot-topic/47612-fg-terminates-manitoba-hydro-power-contract On the chat itself, it was a far better performance than the last fiasco, my summary however reads: It was but a walking shadow, poorly played Strutting and fretting hours upon the stage And then is heard no more: it was a tale Told by a funny man, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing. Paraphrased from William Shakespeare's MACBETH |
Abati said government is talking to with Boko Haram http://www.informationnigeria.org/2012/11/boko-haramfg-i-can-confirm-to-you-that-talks-are-ongoing-at-the-background-reuben-abati.html Now GEJ says they are not, ![]() |
I just love GEJ's government; "Twitter for A4". |
"Obama's victory is the best thing that has happened to Africa,....." GEJ, did you just say this on national television? SMH |
Sincere 9gerian: This thread is an example of why Nigeria is DECAYING. Almost all the comments made so far could be described in one word- SENSELESS. This is a perfect example of how we waste our time in UNPRODUCTIVE ventures that end up multiplying poverty in GEOMETRIC PROGRESSION in this country. When our UNPRODUCTIVE ventures are rewarded with POVERTY, we turn round to blame govt. Ladies and gentlemen, Niger delta and Igbo oil money is INSUFFICIENT to feed 165million people. We must all get our hands dirty in PRODUCTIVE ventures. If we must talk or chat, it must be PRODUCTIVE. Your contribution on this forum should increase your country's GDP.And your posting of this gutter trash has added how much to the GDP? |
The OP forgot to mention Salvation Bus-stop before Opebi Round About, anytime after 7pm weekday to weekend, you are in God's hand. They rob you and then use the money to patronize the whores along the Allen-Opebi Road. Not surprised that most of the notorious bus-stops are around Oshodi-Apapa axis; that zone na no go area. Go around places like Achakpo, Orege, Wilmer, Ajangbadi et al, you will see able bodied men drinking and playing football as early as 8am. |
rareman: Though I have my reservations on this private jets matter but I ll liKe to remind bishop that even pope who is d head of his own church has his own jets even a small country of his own 'the vatican city' so next time we ll start from head downNext time do a little research before coming on a public forum and displaying extravagant stupidity. http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/vatican-has-no-money-or-space-for-private-plane-says-priest/ |
azimibraun: Can a a chatolic Bishop accept a jet as gift?Who sai? He cannot and if he does, he gets automatically excommunicated. |
martyns303: What is embarassing about owning a private jet? Give this same MOG 4 months and offer him a jet and see if he'll refuse it.You do know who Matthew Hassan Kukah is and his antecedents don't you? If not, Google it and come back. |
ujchief: Few years back, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya 'of single and married' lost her precious life on the sosoliso plane crash.Wow!!! And this poster is a product of a tertiary institution? Nigerian aviation has been horrible for a long time and of the hundreds of pastors who fly every day, how many pastors have died? So the lives of pastors are now worth more than other people right? How many jets are owned by people in the world's richest nations? And to your benighted thinking, private jets don't crash right? |
I see people asking questions whether Kukah would not accept a jet as a gift and I marvel at their incredible stupidity, this is someone who has consistently proven to be steadfast and forthright. I remember him castigating misrule right from Abacha's time through to OBJ. We are all living witnesses to his work at The Oputa panel where people like IBB were indicted. He is a million times right on the jets and CAN. Under Oritsejafor, CAN has become an extension of State House, always available for "prayer meetings", "thanksgiving service", "revival for the nation" and other such nonsense. I was very happy when the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria withdrew from CAN. Like the PFN as well, both are sick, corrupt bodies peopled by greedy, thieving charlatans (who remembers Bishop Obembe's misappropriation of the funds meant for the Benny Hinn Revival) who have created a new Jesus in their own image and likeness i.e. an ATM machine. I believe its time we get the National Assembly to create laws similar to RICO in the U.S and start taxing them. The wealth of religious bodies in Nigeria needs to be properly investigated. |
joyblinks: If you no like Abuja, na 2 things go cos am eitherAbuja and PH are Lagos wannabes, their so called "swagger" is cheap and tawdry compared to Lasgidi. |
Beauty pageant my foot, absurd joke is more like it. |
solomon111: Unfortunately i am not the travelling type.O boy you fall hand o. You visited Benin, Owerri yet you failed to sample their female offerings which are plentiful, endowed, diverse and affordable (depending on your wallet size), see maximum f**k ups o. |
Mine would have to be: 3. P.H.C: A less dynamic version of Lagos. Over rated nightlife, decent infrastructure, nonsense "forming" chicks. (D-) 2. ABUJA: Good infrastructure, affordable cost of living( cheap food but idiotic rent and school fees), "yau yau" girls. Also tries too hard to be Lagos II. (C-) 1. OWERRI & ASABA: Decent infrastructure, slow paced, good nightlife. Both enjoy the peculiar advantages of benefiting from the hustle and disorder of Aba and Onitsha especially Owerri. Difficult to choose who has more chicks between Lagos & Owerri. (B) Yet to visit Enugu and Calabar so can't comment. Also loved Kano (minus the sectarian wahala). |
Clemzy16: No doubt America is the most powerful nation on planet earth. Obama might be the president of all americans but in-one-way-or-another he tends to control the affairs of other nations including Nigeria.Wrong, very wrong. Nobody wields that kind of power unless you allow them to. Are you saying Obama controls Chinese or Russian policies? |
uplawal: @Solomonkane,you are a big fool and idiot, why do you think every student of a well rich nation not deverve a free education at all level, all you could come up with is they will be in massive debt, free education should be for anyone willing to learn in a rich nation like Nigeria, and there is no adverse effect if managed well.Just when you thought they were finished, another unintelligent doofus with the IQ of a dung beetle crawls out of the pits of ignorance. So because Nigeria is "rich", education should be free? I believe in QUALITATIVE SUBSIDIZED EDUCATION at all levels, not FREE SUBSTANDARD EDUCATION, if you don't like it, crawl back into the sewer you emerged from. E.O.D!!!!!! |
mike.okiro:Bro don't get me wrong,I like Owelle a lot. Ibori and Odili are animals and Rochas appears to be better than them. In fact if you go through the thread, you will find where I stated that he's far better than Ohakim. What I am worried about is that in an effort to create populist policies, an unnecessary debt burden might be created for future administrations which might hinder long term progress because populist policies are not usually married to economic realities. |
OILOFGLADNESS: IF YOU HAVE NOTING TO SAY PLS CLOSE UR MOUTH AND PASS, THIS MAN HAD MANY SCHOOLS FROM NURSERY TO SECONADRY AND NOW TERTIARY THAT ARE ALL FREE, I MAEN EVERTHINT, THEIR UNIFORM, BAGS SCHOL SANDALS, NAME IT, . THATIS WHEN HE NEVER HAVE ACCESS TO GOVERNMENT MONEY, TALK OF NOWWWWWAnother classic example of why FREE EDUCATION isn't a good idea, it produces latrine-brained buffoons like this jackass. Learn to spell properly before making comments. |
cheddarking: And you think there is such a thing as "Nigeria's Younger Generation"?My name is Solomon Kane and I approve of this post and the poster. While I appreciate the zeal behind @omojuwa's tweet, a revolution will be the death of us all 'cos these "thieves" are reflective of every tribe in Nigeria and will bring us to the question: who will have to die for Nigeria to live? |
I love the Owelle for the strides he is taking; he's far better that that arrogant lout called Ohakim but populism should be married with the reality on ground. As someone who has worked in the secondary school system in Imo state; I would rather he revolutionizes the primary and secondary school system which are the building blocks of whatever changes he wants to make rather than make the finished product; tertiary education tuition free. |
I support, applaud and encourage subsidized education. I completely disagree with free education. At the risk of sounding pessimistic, this looks like another half-baked "masses oriented" policy that will leave the next administration with mountains of debts and stifle meaningful long term progress. Going by statistics, Imo state has one of the highest number of tertiary students in the nation, how sustainable is it? Even states like Rivers and Delta with large allocations and Lagos with a large IGR can't and shouldn't try it. |
edoyad: Don't act like an ignoramus. Let me give you an assignment : When a citizen of Nigeria goes to the media and calls for the removal of the sitting Govt by means not stipulated in the constitution, what do we have call that?Try and apply the grey matter in that big cesspit stuck between your ears, it is not meant for decoration you know. What offence will it be classified as; treasonable felony, incitement to cause public disorder or what? SMH. |
bigx: Chilling for the e-book sellers and info-marketers in, 5..., 4..., 3..., 2...,LMAAOOOOOOOOOOO. Bad guy, you don sabi them finish. ![]() |
Then the SSS must be a collection of even bigger idiots than I ever thought possible. I wait to see under what laws they will charge him; all he needs is a good lawyer, he will sue their backsides off and come out more popular and richer than ever. SMH. |
No |
pure123: I am still waiting for someone to mention ADEBOYE and OYEDEPO, because those are the pastor that offended nairaland people......first to tro d@ stone.....abeg i dey wait.Your sentence formation is abysmal, go back to school. |
Itoroetti :Actually its for pro-idiocy advocates like you. |
Only a fool looks for conspiracy theories to understate his own failings. International reports take what is already on ground and magnify it to suit their purposes (whatever they may be). Same negatives being said about Nigeria have been said about Brazil, China, India et al, these countries have taken these negatives to heart and are transforming right before our eyes. Let's stop with the victim mentality and let's fix our problems; if these problems did not exist, the West would not create something out of nothing. These reports are meant to serve as a wake up call and it works if we are honest with ourselves. In 1984, the annual W.H.O report on healthcare worldwide rated primary healthcare in Nigeria as dismal and almost non-existent. This was the catalyst that drove Late. Prof. Olikoye Ransome Kuti (of blessed memory) to build several primary health care centres across the country and mobilize resources both internally and externally for the development of primary health care in Nigeria. What is stopping us from doing the same now? |
Having not listened to the album in question but bearing in mind D'Prince's previous efforts like "Omoba" "Ooze" and his collaborations, its so hard not to agree with the review. The guy's lyrics are as weak as GEJ's anti-corruption crusade and if indeed those lines highlighted by the reviewer are from the album, I will not waste bandwidth downloading obvious junk. As for Dr. Sid, he needs an IQ transplant A.S.A.P. |
Sagamite: This is coming from the same person that opened this thread?Don't mind IT. IT wants to draw attention to IT's claptrap, ignore and move on. Mmuo Okija has already done justice to IT. |
See people protesting against (necessary) policies that affect their well being, here for Naija; call people to protest for a just cause or even their own rights, they will call you "jobless", "paid opposition agent" and what not or will tell you things like: The sun is too hot. My oga will sack me if he/she sees me protesting. I have a family at home. I am too busy. It won't change anything. Them go pay me? I have money so it doesn't concern me. AND the most annoying one: GOD WILL SAVE US. |
