I just da laugh most of wanna for this thread, they sentiments and double standard wer wanna da practice ehhh, I remember last week most of you guys here wer bashing and insulting Hudson Odoi simply because he said he was only going to play for Ghana after the world cup qualifiers, most of you here insulted him and called him glory hunter, that if he were to be a Nigerian you guys will never allow him into the team, cos he doesn't want to suffer with the team during qualifiers but he wants to enjoy in the world cup.
Now Olise has said the same thing (that he is going to play for the SE after the qualifiers)
and you guys are here praising him for making a right decision, for accepting to switch blah blah blah.
Mak wanna remember sa what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.
I think Olise is trying to weigh his options between Nigeria and Algeria after the World Cup playoffs. Any of the teams who qualifies, he will choose to play for

Eguavoen Had Talks With Four Ex England Youth Stars On Switching To Nigeria- Two Accepted, Two Declined
thedabigal.com.ng Feb 21, 2022 2:04 PM

A source close to the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Austine Eguavoen has revealed that he had talks with four players of Nigerian descent during his tour of England.

The coach as first reported by this portal arrived England in the company of his assistant Emmanuel Amuneke for a visit an online meeting with players of the senior national team of Nigeria.

Aside the meeting were issues surrounding bonuses were discussed. The coach also took out time to visit and hold talks with players eligible to represent Nigeria ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers playoff game against Ghana.

We gathered he spoke with Crystal Palace duo of Ebere Eze and Michael Olise on phone through a close contact. While details of their meeting still remains sketchy Olise however agreed to playing for Nigeria but will rather wait till after the World Cup qualifiers playoff.

Eze on his part still asked for more time and said he is still working his way back to full fitness after a lengthy injury lay off, saying even if he files for switch now he will likely not get the all clear to play for Nigeria this year. Olise has no such issues.

Meanwhile, Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo met with the crew where he made it clear to them that his intention still remains playing for England at senior international level. Southampton Nathan Tella was the other player spoken to by the crew.

Tella expressed his excitement to playing for Nigeria and told the crew he is ready to play if called up as early as next month when they take on Ghana. He however need his switch of nationality to be in order before then.

God bless Plumptre. Indeed England has lost a star. She should be the next captain of the SF. With the little clips I watched today, she showed character and grit. The Abuja sunny weather didn't affect her game as a first timer. She played as if she has been playing for SF for long. She also handled aerial balls well.

Eze is injured,he is just getting back,he is very important to CP and will always be, Connor is the only rated above him in the team, personally I don't think there is need for eze, Austin's formations centers on Wing play and spamming long balls, there is no really need for eze, the only person I think will improve the squad is olise; cos his long ball skillset
Are you talking about the same Olise who doesn't want to play for Nigeria but wants either France or Algeria? Forget him. Let's focus on Amoo

India 2022: Olowookere invites 35 players to Flamingos camp ahead DR Congo clash
blueprint.ng Feb 4, 2022 7:03 PM

Head Coach Bankole Olowookere has called 35 players to the camp of the U17 Girls’ National Team, Flamingos to begin preparations for next month’s 2022 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Flamingos actually started a qualifying campaign for the championship two years ago, defeating their Guinean counterparts home and away, before the global coronavirus pandemic compelled world football –governing body, FIFA to jettison the process and forget the 2020 competition altogether.

However, just like it has done with the U20 Women’s World Cup, FIFA has retained the designated host nation for the 2020 event, India as host for the 2022 finals. The championship will hold 11th-30th October.

The Flamingos will start their campaign for this year’s finals when they play away to the U17 girls of DR Congo in Kinshasa on 6th March 2022. The return leg is scheduled for the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, 19th March.

All invited players have been advised to report to the Chida Hotel, Abuja on Monday, 7th February.

AWCON Qualifiers: 35 Falcons to resume camp ahead of Côte d’Ivoire clash

Head coach of the Nigeria senior women’s national team, Randy Waldrum has invited a total of 35 players to the camp of the Super Falcons ahead of next month’s final qualifying fixture for the 12th Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON), against Côte d’Ivoire.

The Super Falcons and the Lady Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire will square up at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Friday, 18th February with the return leg at the Stade Robert Champroux in Abidjan on Wednesday, 23rd February for a slot at AWCON 2022 hosted by Morocco in July.

It would be the first time in decades the team would be playing in the newly renovated Moshood Abiola National Stadium, after years of abandonment.

The nine-time African Champions will do all it takes to avoid a repeat of their 2020 Olympic games qualifier tie against their Ivorian counterparts, as they were eliminated via the away goal rule after playing 0-0 in Abidjan and 1-1 at home in Lagos.

To reach this penultimate round, Super Falcons defeated Ghana Black Queens 2-1 on aggregate while Ivory Coast demolished their Niger counterparts 20-0 on aggregate.

Nigeria needs a quality goal keeper urgently. We are tired of fine boys who are more active on social media than on the pitch.

What pains me is that this appears to be their second team after 12 of them contacted COVID-19 and they perfectly read our game against Egypt very well.
