andrewbaba44:Bros Andrew. No ill feelings towards VicMo. We love him. He is an excellent player. When he was in SE, we all went to sleep with our eyes closed cause we all knew he would always deliver. Just that I was surprised when he retired from international football so early. I have been trying to figure out why and thats the reason for my analogy. I may be wrong and stand to be corrected. No ill feelings. If he returns, we would accept him regardless. |
daveP:Happy birthday oga DAVE May God be by your side to SAVE May His blessings rest on you like sweet WAVES I know you are BRAVE So may all the blessings you CRAVE Open doors for you that PAVE |
Danielnino00:That may be why he left England for Turkey and now Russia. He quietly wanted leaving England to avoid public eye and prosecution. Sorry guys, we busted VicMo's bubble and he may have been bitter about that and decided never play for Nigeria again. Let's move on! |
Arabiandude:I am feeling that's all these revelations of his true identity are what made him pull out from SE. Maybe he was scared of the negative publicity it would cause. Just my thought! |
Ezenagu's invitation to Super Falcons: A fitting reward for consistency pulse.ng There is reward for diligence and consistency. For Rivers Angels' Maryann Ezenagu, the time has come to reward her years of consistency. Rivers Angels announced that the striker has been called up to the Super Falcons after the team's 2-0 victory over Ghana in Lagos Ezenagu's invitation has long been expected by followers of women's football in Nigeria. She made a name for herself at the WAFU-B Champions League playoff where Rivers Angels lost to Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana in the final. She is pacy and her trickery is a joy to behold as she goes past defenders with ease. In one of her interviews with CAF online, she revealed that she once declined invitation to the national team in 2013 because she felt she was too young. She began playing football from the streets of Asaba even when her father restricted her from playing football but she persisted. Ezenagu won the woman of the match award three times at the WAFU-B Champions League playoff and was the tournament's top scorer. She was also named the tournament's most valuable player. For many years, she has been consistent and her reward has come. Coach Randy Waldrum wanted to fortify his team ahead of the difficult encounter in Accra and he invited the Rivers Angels star. The former Delta Queens star player has represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in 2016 alongside Chiamaka Nnadozie. It is yet to be seen if Randy Waldrum will start her against Ghana. She has the pace and skill to keep Janet Egyir and the Ghanaian defense on their toes and allowing others to thrive. Randy has given NWFL stars time in the team and they have lived up to expectations. Maryann will hope to get the chance to play and to make impact, which is what she is known for. Recently, the forward won the Most Valuable player award at the Betsy Obaseki Cup. At the WAFU Champions League playoff, she scored 7 goals and the coach of Ghana, Mercy Tagoe was one of the dignitaries that presented an award to her at the tournament. Now, she may play against Mercy Tagoe's team in Accra Ghana. Truly, consistency pays. |
AkinDS:If we can grow our women's league, we would reap great benefit. There are so much talents we can tap from that league. Maryann Ezenagu is a good example. She would help to bring in competition in the SF and replace tired legs |

2022 WAFCON Qualifiers: Waldrum Hails Hard Fighting Super Falcons After Win Against Ghana completesports.com Oct 20, 2021 8:13 PM Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has praised his players for fighting really hard to overcome rivals Black Queens of Ghana, in Wednesday’s 2022 WAFCON first round qualifier. Played inside the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, the Falcons defeated Ghana 2-0, to kick off the qualifiers on a positive note. Uchenna Kanu was the hero for the nine-time African champions as she got both goals which were headers, to secure the win. And speaking in his post-match analysis Waldrum said:’We are extremely excited about the win. Obviously it’s important to get a win at home I think getting a clean sheet too was very important for us to go into the second leg. “The first half we came out with a good attacking mentally second half we played a little bit more on the counter but they were chasing the game and we had some tired legs in the end. “The players fought really hard, I thought Chiamaka came up with a big time save to keep a clean sheet which was very important for us. We all understand this is just half of the job.” The American coach explained the difference between the Falcons team that beat Ghana and the one that lost to South Africa at the Aisha Buhari Cup. “The difference when you compare this team to the one that lost to South Africa is that we didn’t have Osinachi Ohale, Rasheedat Ajibade, Tony Payne. “These players are key for us and they made a huge difference for us. And I thought Onome and the other defenders did a great job for us with our goalkeeper as well.” And ahead of the reverse fixture in Ghana on Sunday:”The staff will get back tonight and we would have some conversation and discuss how we want to approach the second leg. “We all know that when you do home and away it’s important to keep a clean sheet at home. But it’s also important to score a goal in the second leg because the away goal really count for you. So we will have to find a balance of making sure we are attacking but also protecting the two-goal lead that we have.” |
Schemerkhiz:The last time Oshoala scored for Nigeria was at the last world cup in France if I can still remember. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. |
naptu2:The goals should be have been more than this |
Pidginwhisper:It seems she has now become so big that she can't be substituted by coaches. Even Ahmed Musa as captain is substituted when he plays poorly for Nigeria for God sake. Why do we worship personalities in this nation? |
Half time Nigeria 2 Ghana 0 Gift Monday and Vivian Ikechukwu should come in the second half. We really need more goals in the second half. So far Payne and Kanu have been good. |
isan:Fans are not even allowed in the stadium to watch the match. |
TheSuperNerd:Rohr is really toying with our world cup chances. He makes weak team look strong when playing Nigeria. Do we need to protest to the NFF as fans for Ejaria, Lookman, Nwakali, Alhassan and Amoo to be invited again? Only God knows the true story behind Olise opting for Algeria. On paper, we have all these guys but in reality, we are still struggling to qualify. We now celebrate 2-0 win when other teams whitewash their opponents. No thanks to Rohr |
