No matter how much you guys try to demonise Buhari thruth will always prevail over lies. He is a Moslem and a Northerner that is why you all hate him. He stands for thruth, honesty and discipline and no amount schemes from Jonathan and his lying warriors will shake the People's General.

Because they cannot pray for someone building 4 Billion Naira women centre while most of them are hungry
Because they cannot pray for someone buikding a 7 Billion Naira Gate while most of them are hungry
Because they cannot pray for someone celebrating a convicted thief while many hard-working ones are struggling to make ends meet

thelastPope: So this is how you want to sweep Nigeria clean? By bombing innocent people at bus stations?

No problem, keep doing it. Nemesis will soon catch up with you guys. Buhari is a small fry. He has been there before and we know how much of a coward he is. We saw it all. Why did his campaign not help CPC to win Abuja council polls? lol. The Christian population in the north is over 40% and they will never ever cast their vote for a terrorist like Buhari. Never!
Your divisive method won’t work in 2015. President Jonathan used the same schism of Xtian vs Moslems in 2011 but guesses what people are wiser and see through his hypocrisy now.

The Christian population of the North is over 40 per cent (hilarious)? This was how you guys started this propaganda in 2011 for rigging plan and wasted many lives.
This was how you claimed Igbos are 60 per cent in Lagos, 45 per cent in Kano, bla bla percent everywhere.
Why would a popular President bank on Christian/Igbo votes alone? Because he has no qualities to market . The real terrorist is the one eating Billion Naira food, building 4 Billion Naira Women Centre, building 7 Billion Naira Gate when millions are dying everyday
PoliticsRe: GEJ Vs Opposition: Major Hits And Misses by solopumpy227: 12:23pm On Mar 21, 2013
oxford: HITS:
1. DELIVERY ON OPPOSITIONS CAMPAIGN POINTS:
Am talking here about those national sore points the oppositions like to attack the PDP government on: Benin-ore Road, Lagos-Ibadan Express way, epilectic power situation, Delapidated facilities at our airports, 2nd Niger Bridge, Dreging of the river Niger, improved electoral process. Ok now they have to come up with new ones as all these are at different stages of completion. Never again will Adams use benin Ore road as a compaign gimmicks.

2. REMOVING JUSTICE SALAMI
This was actually an upper cut. The opposition didnt see this coming and when it happen the wolf cry was to high heavens. Salami has been known to have aided ACN to governorship seat s that they have lost at the pool. Also while presiding over Ekiti governorship disputes he was alleged to have exchange calls with ACN chieftains as revealed by his call log. His removal was a thunder bolt sucker punch and you need to see Tinubu’s face when it landed.

3. ALAMIEYESIGHA’S PARDON:
This is a sagacious political move that left the opposition mesmerized: Before now the opposition were relaying on the enemy within ie Rotimi Amaechi to break the fold of strong home base support for GEJ. GEJ has thus far being the only presidential candidates that has had overwhelming electoral victory in his home base averaging over 90% votes in all the ND states in 2011 election. This is what the opposition were hoping to scatter with Amaech support but with the introduction of THE GOVERNOR GENERAL OF THE NIGER DELTA ,the lion liver is now a mere wish for the dogs. As of the dramas that prelude Alams’s arrest and prosecution – The uk police aided escape, the Bayelsa state house of assembling sitting in lagos to impeach a governor ....I will leave all that for another day.

4. IN CHARGE OF HIS OWN PARTY
Ok, so everyone at the begining said GEJ is a weakling and that he is going to be OBJ stooge. Well the guy has proved all the book makers wrong. We all now know that GEJ is a man of his own. While the key figures in the opposition are battling to gain advantage in finding a foot hold in their ‘yet-to-be-registered’ APC, GEJ is in charge of his own party. From the chairman of BOT, to the national party chairman, to all the kingpins in the present day PDP, all are his men. Obj is ranting of course but then GEJ doesnt seems to “give a damn”.

5. VICTORY OVER ELIGIBILITY CONTEST:
GEJ outsmarted his opponent by going to court before them to challenge his own eligibility to contest and the court has ruled. So that piece of distraction has been cleared. So now all the fine argument on social medias on why he cant contest will just remained there.
MISSES:

1. WRONG TIMING FOR FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL IN 2012
2. WRONG CHOICE OF VP IN 2011
3. ALLOWING TANBUWAL TO BECOME SPEAKER
4. ALLOWING ELRUFAI TO COME BACK FROM ASYLUM WHERE HE RAN TO DURING YARADUA TENURE
5. NOT ARRESTING BUHARI FOR ALL HIS INCITEFUL COMMENTS THAT HAS LEAD TO THE KILLINGS OF HUNDREDS OF CHRISTAINS IN THE NORTH.
I have problem with liars and those who turn thruth up-side-down to hoodwink. Oshiomole and Rochas have said what Buhari said and we have all hailed them. He told his supporters to protect their votes and lynch stealers.

When you rig elections you should expect consequences. He cannot arrest Buhari because he knows the man stand for Integrity and uprightness.

See, once Buhari emerges the Presidential candidate of APC you will see Pastor Bakare taking his rightful position in the full campaign against rots, madness, corruption and purposelessness being instituted by the GEJ-led Government. PoliticsRe: Tinubu Backs Amnesty For Boko Haram by solopumpy227: 11:34am On Mar 21, 2013
Akson man: Let all Nigerians know this:

The true intention of Boko Haram and their core Northern sponsors is to bring GEJ to the negotiating table where he agrees to drop his second term ambition and a Northern muslim takes over in 2015. Full stop.

Unfortunately,GEJ (through Obj) have realized that the existence of Boko Haram in the North is a blessing in disguise for his political ambitions. As the North remains divided- The Christian Northerners who constitute over 40% of the North's population will never vote for a core Northern muslim. In 2015,if GEJ gets block votes from the Christian middle-belt,South east,South-south and parts of the South-west,he wins.

The international powers led by the US and UK want Northerners to lead Nigeria because they see them as loyal while the more educated South are stubborn. The Petroleum Industry Bill and Local content law being pushed by Southern Nigeria is one of the numerous reasons they want a reversal of Nigeria's power structure in favour of the core North.

But the truth is that as it is now,the core North is suicidal, thanks to their leaders who just cannot mobilize majority of their citizens into embracing education and modernity.

God help us.
Not everyone will agree with your theories. BH started rearing their ugly heads under Yaradua but they were quickly and effectively silenced. Unfortunately, the circumstances of emergence of Goodluck as the President after the demise of Yaradua gave many Northern politians the opportunity to perpetrate evils using BH.

There is no doubt that the GEJ-led Governmnet is being tactically sabotaged by some agriefed politicians using BH and others but the most dis-hearthening news is the gross incompetency, utter insensitivity and absolute directionlessness being demonstrated by President Jonathan on daily basis.

My man your calculation makes 2015 seem so easy for GEJ/PDP using religion as the weapon. Please 2015 will be different from 2011 Presidential election if the same candidates are presented. The factors that aided GEJ victory in 2011 have been eroded, in fact it is becoming increasingly difficult for GEJ/PDP to win a free and fair Presidential election in 2015.

* In 2011 Northern Govs stood behind GEJ to win the PDP primaries and general elections today only a couple of them openly support him and others are his sworn enemies
* In 2011 Buhari/CPC had no representatives in the SS and SE to monitor election proceedings hence rediculous results were returned from all the states in these zones but today not only that Buhari/APC may have strong loyalists to prevent uncontrolled vote padding but it is not unlike for some PDP Govs in this zone to sacrifice GEJ for Unity and Peace of Nigeria.
* Again may I remind you that in 2011 the total registered voters in the NW is more than the entire SS and SE put together.
* Coming to SW religion is less a factor when they vote. Talking about GEJ/PDP chances in 2011 it was purely sentimental. They voted for him because he had no shoes, he is from ND, ha has a PhD, he seems humble and he is ''Goodluck''. Today the SW/PDP are not happy with him, the SW/ACN are still strong and the common people have been dissapointed by many of his actions.

So where are the votes going to come from?. My brother if these trends continue and GEJ/PDP manage to claim victory then you and I need to start planning how to survive th post-election incidents. It is not a rocket science to see trouble is looming.

These are old strategies. Most Yoruba families have Christians and Moslems as siblings/spouses you cannot start rancour among them with religion.

Lagos is a cosmopiltan state with most inhabitants lettered. I can assure you that if in 2015 the best Gov candidate still happens to be a Moslem they will vote him/her again.

You cannot force your religiuos beliefs on others.

Talk is cheap! Just open that u**gly mouth to talk carelessly.

This is the the same man who as governor could not contain simple Agberos in Lagos.
In his 8yrs tenure Agberos ruled Lagos. All these politicians opening their dirty
mouths to talk are all clueless in security matters.
Your Tinubu not my Tinubu. Unlike you, I dont shut my ears when people I dont really like are making points- I listen to them, think about what they have said then make my decision.

People have constitutional rights to talk as long as no laws have been violated. In fact we need all hands on deck (including Oppositions) to solve this BH menace. It is obvious the FG has run out of ideas and need help to solve this BH menace but unfortunately the FG is too untrustworthy for well-meaning people to work with easily.

Every time the incompetencies of President Jonathan are being discussed some of you always think you can shut people up by attacking ''messangers'' instead of discussing the ''message''. It is a dull strategy as many people here are very intelligent and will not just be cowed by rants from empty skulls.

Your post show emotion and intense hatred towards the North. I hope your pains are real like many other concerned Nigerians.
Contrary to your attempt to trivialise the level of damages inflicted by the ND militants , however, verifiable records show their activities were/are just as deadly and destructive the BH's. I never supported paid-amnesty for ND militants and will never support paid-amnesty for BH. Amnesty means forgiveness for the sinners and must not necessarily come with financial gratification like the ND militants amnesty

This Government has no plan nor direction. Like Pukkha has accurately captured above they have, deliberately, failed to see the waste around them but have choosen to make examples of common people. All over the world good Leaders lead by examples but GEJ led Government behave like a Royalty where the Palace needs are sacrosanct to the detriment of the poor populace.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Backs Amnesty For Boko Haram by solopumpy227:
Once again this amnesty debate has been brought to fore. As far as I am concerned there no difference between MEND and BH. They have many things in common but only differ in styles and motivation.
1. They both kill innocent people
2. They both target security forces and hound them down at any opportunity
3. They both destroy public infrastructures and threaten Government

However BH seem to be mainly motivated by religious belief and brainwashing although some politicians may have created their own gangs from this confusion. MEND members on the other hand have never been known for suicide bombing and I can arguably assert that motivation for them is mainly monetary although a few of the ND militants may be categorized as real activists.

PoliticsOutrage Over Presidential Pardon For VIP Ex-convicts by solopumpy227(op): 8:06am On Mar 13, 2013
There were indications on Tuesday that the National Council of State presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan might have approved a presidential pardon for a former Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Dipreye Alamieyeisegha.

Alamieyeseigha, who Jonathan recently described as his political benefactor, was convicted of corruption.

His removal from office by the state House of Assembly led to his arrest, prosecution and conviction.

Alamieyeseigha’s exit led to the emergence of Jonathan who was his deputy, as the Bayelsa State governor.

At the end of the meeting of the NCS in Abuja on Tuesday, State House correspondents were not briefed on its outcome but sources at the meeting confirmed that the former governor was granted presidential pardon among some others whose names were presented to the council.

“Yes. It is true that presidential pardon was approved for the former governor at the meeting,” one of the state governors at the meeting, who pleaded anonymity, said.

But his position contradicted the position of his colleague from Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, who claimed that no former governor’s name was mentioned at the meeting.

He however confirmed that the issue of “state pardon” was discussed.

Nyako, who spoke with some journalists in Hausa, said the Council deliberated on the possibility of granting state clemency to certain category of offenders both at state and federal levels.

“No such issue (pardon for errant governors) was discussed. I didn’t see the name of any governor. But we considered the issue of state pardon for people who committed certain offences.

“We observed that in cases of manslaughter, pardon for such should be handled by state governors if they are committed in such states. But if it is the case of armed robbery, the Council may decide to grant pardon or the matter could be referred to the President for his consideration,” Nyako said.

There was no official confirmation on the matter at press time.

Meanwhile, the National Publicity Secretary of the Congress Progressive Change, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, said the pardon was an invitation for people to engage in corruption.

Fashakin said, “His decision is as ludicrous and laughable as giving post humous pardon to Ishola Oyenusi, Lawrence Anini and Monday Osunbor; the notorious armed robbers that terrorised Nigerians in the 70’s and 80’s!

“There is a better way to show solidarity with one’s boss than this utterly reprehensible action.”

Even while the Council of State meeting, which was held behind closed doors, was in progress, the social media were awash with reactions of Nigerians, who believed that the President would be making a mistake by attempting to grant a state pardon for his former boss.

Most Nigerians had questioned the rationale behind the purported pardon, wondering if such initiative would not encourage others to perpetrate fraud, believing that he would also be able to get a state pardon.

The situation about the pardon, however, became more confusing on Tuesday as there was neither an official statement on the reported pardon nor was there any briefing for State House reporters at the end of the meeting.

The News Agency of Nigeria that initially sent a story on the controversial pardon, had to call editors later to “withdraw” the story, saying it was sent in error.

Others, who were said to have been granted pardon at the meeting included Gen Oladipo Diya, who was the Chief of General Staff during the reign of military dictator, Gen Sani Abacha; former Managing Director of the Bank of the North, Mr. Shettima Bulama, who was also convicted of fraud; and former Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters, the late Gen Musa Yar’Adua.

Others said to have received the pardon at the meeting included the former Minister of Works, the late Maj.-Gen Abdulkareem Adisa, who was also found culpable in the alleged coup that landed Diya in prison.

Elected Governor of Bayelsa State in 1999, Alamieyeseigha was re-elected in 2003 for a second term and he remained in that position until September 2005 when he was arrested for money laundering in the United Kingdom.

At the time of his arrest, the Metropolitan Police found about £1m in cash in his London home. He, however, escaped from prison by allegedly disguising as a woman in December that year and returned to Nigeria.

Alamieseigha was impeached on December 9, 2005, by the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and arrested minutes after by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to face trial for charges bordering on money laundering and corrupt enrichment.

He was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment in July 2007, by a Federal High Court in Lagos for money laundering and corrupt enrichment.

Diya served under Abacha till November 1993, when he was arrested by the government and charged with treason. Diya and 11 others were accused of planning to overthrow Abacha’s government.

After a two-month trial at a Military tribunal, headed by Maj.-Gen Victor Malu (now retired), Diya and five other were sentenced to death by firing squad. His sentence was later commuted to 25 years imprisonment. Following Abacha’s death, Diya and his colleagues were granted amnesty and released by General Abdulsalami Abubakar, who succeeded Abacha.

A social commentator, Kayode Ogundamisi, said, “If GEJ deems Dipreye Alamieyeseigha worthy of a presidential pardon, then why is James Ibori in a UK prison?

Lawyer and activist, Bamidele Aturu, said, “Presidential pardon for criminals is official jailbreak.”

Social entrepreneur, ‘Gbenga Sesan, said in his tweets, “A nation fighting corruption, and where the Commander-in-Chief has been accused of toying with such, shouldn’t pardon corrupt kinsmen. The timing of this use of (albeit) constitutional power makes it both insensitive and politically dangerous. (This) might heat up the polity.

“For this #PresidentialPardon case, hope for future sanity rests on reaction from organised civil society, Nigerian citizens.”

Nnaemeka Nwosu, who has the Twitter handle, @nwosunnaemeka, believed the implication of the pardon would go beyond the shores of the nation.
PoliticsAPC Dares INEC Says We Won't Change Name by solopumpy227(op): 7:51am On Mar 13, 2013
The All Progressives Congress on Tuesday dared the Independent National Electoral Commission, saying it would not change its name as suggested by the electoral umpire.

The yet-to-be registered party also said there was no iota of truth in the claim by INEC that a group with the same acronym had approached it for registration as a political party.

The Chief Press Secretary to the commission’s Chairman, Mr. Kayode Idowu, was reported by a national daily (not The PUNCH) to have urged opposition parties in the APC to consider a new name and abbreviation to facilitate the registration of their group as a political party.

“We don’t encourage political parties with similar names, manifestoes, logos and acronyms and this is aimed at avoiding confusion between registered political parties with similar names and acronyms,” the newspaper quoted Idowu to have said.

But some leaders of the opposition political parties that merged to form the APC said INEC must be lying about its claim.

They said the APC , which came into being as a result of the merger of three opposition political parties, would not change its identity.

The leaders were asked to comment on the speculations that other leaders of the APC were already considering to change the name to ADC.

Speaking with one of our correspondents, the National Publicity Secretary of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the APC would not change its name.

He said, “No, we won’t change our name. We will stand by that name and that is what we want to be called at the commission.”...http://www.punchng.com/news/apc-dares-inec-says-we-wont-change-name/

I think he should just retire as a statesman in honour.
Yes there are millions of more qualified Nigerians but he is the ONLY ONE who has come close to demolishing PDP rigging empire

Bankole, Gbenga Daniel, Maina, Jonathan all have age on their sides but how have they faired in discharging their responsibilties? A Patriot would be more concerned about how resourceful and ready a leader is and not trivial excuses about age.Gen. Buhari is only 69,agile and loaded with energy. The following American Presidents are considered among the best in American history
Ronald Reagan (69 years, 11 months, 14 days)
William H. Harrison (68 years, 0 months, 23 days)
James Buchanan (65 years, 10 months, 9 days)
George H. W. Bush (64 years, 7 months, 8 days)
Zachary Taylor (64 years, 3 months, 8 days)
Dwight D. Eisenhower (62 years, 3 months, 6 days

I will advise you to read more about Nigerian coups and histories. Of all coup expose to date, none has accused Gen. Buhari of planning the coup but (as the tradition of the time) was called to head the resulting military government after the coup.

Chima_Adeoye: It was wrong and unwise for Oshiomhole to have declined receiving this body.Yes,you can decide not to pay for their visit, which is a sound argument, but making it impossible to inspect state projects is wrong.
We all have our opinions how Nigeria should be run, but if this tour have been going round the country to identify what the other governors are doing as well as federal projects in the states, Oshiomhole was wrong to have become so uncooperative and denied the people of Edo State the opportunity to ask questions and find out what was happening in the state. It all smacks of someone with skeletons in his cupboard desperately trying to hide something.Anyhow, the deed is done.
I think you are wrong bro. Gov Oshiomole lives, eats, sleeps and wake up with is subject 24/7. He plans with them and execute with them. They are the last thing he sees before going to bed and the first thing he sees when he wakes up.

Do you need someone to tell you what your father is doing for you? The tour should be a FG thing for FG projects. Inspecting states projects show the tour is a 'farce'.

This is the kind of pictures I WANT TO BE SEEING rom the FG not all the rurbish epilogues being smeared around by the insecer9gerian. OP could please post more pictures of FG projects from the tour.

Although the larger part of this Egbema plant seems to have been done before this GEJ government at least this is a step in right direction http://fmi.gov.ng/nggt-imo-maku-tasks-nipp-on-monitoring-completion-of-power-projects/
