Moral of the story. Never be a tool in the hands of politicians. They are trained to use and dump, break and make, scatter and mend. |
betrani: Your Wrong! Amechi was loosin sleep! At last he regained his senses to go apologize! I have said it times without number! You can not fight a serving president! No matter d little support he succeeded in rallyin he needed to realize that; the most poisonous snake doesn't bite easilyAmaechi is loosing sleep so he went to Ota to beg OBJ? Amaechi is loosing his sleep so he went to Minna to beg Abdusalam and IBB? Ammaech is loosing his sleep so he asked for peace meeting with recalcitrant Govs? I agree Amaechi is taking a political risk by choosing to follow his beliefs and principles but the DESPERATE ONE in this game is no one else than unperforming GEJ who wants a 2nd term but not ready to carry others along. |
All these problems were created by GEJ in the first place and he is in the best position to solve them. I see nothing wrong in GEJ quest for 2nd term but his method of bullying everyone to cohto his decision CAN NEVER WORK. GEJ paid fans can continue there propangada, the truth remains GEJ was installed by these power-block he is currently at logger-head with. If he wants to destroy them to have an eazy ride 2015 then he should come to the side of common people by delivering dividends of democracy. |
Yes I think he can win. I am not in support of this deportation thing but history has shown our leader's characters/actions hardly affect there political fortune. |
Can we do some facts and figures analysis here. For me: The Oppositions strengths are : The numerical strength of the North, GEJ lac-lustre/nd entroneduninspiring performance, Tinubu's SW influence, PDP crisis & Dissaffection of retired Generals with GEJ. The Oppositions weaknesses are : The general perception of any Northerner in the SE/SS and some SW and MB, Tinubu's duplicity nature, & General Buhari's rigid nature. GEJ strengths : Incumbency factors, Ability to play victim, weep sentiments, huge financial war-chest and all Oppositions weaknesses. GEJ does not deserve a the 1st term not to talk of a 2nd term (IN MY BOOKS) but becoming Nigeria's presidenct is as complicated as the Nation. For blind GEJ followers- GEJ did not win 2011 on us his own merits - He was lucky, supported and enthroned, unfortunately, the same people that made it possible in 2011 are the same spear-heading his 2015 downfall. Currently, the odds are against GEJ. He is not certain of picking PDP ticket in a competitive primary contest. Well, he can force himself through (as he has done in recent time) but that might just be the end of PDP. He is currently running a One-man PDP; definitely he is not planning to win 2015 presidential election through a popular vote. It is not advisable canvassing for SW support using religion sentiments. The SW votes would be very critical in 2015. SW seem to be the most liberal/flexible voters in Nigeria but A Northerner/Fashola on ballot in 2015 might just kill the game. I dont see SW Christians voting GEJ against Fashola Vice-Presidency.

Please deliver my humble message to your Boss. The people need development, rule of law, fairness, justice and security not propagandas. Threat wont force people to vote for him neither will propaganda. |
nku5: I can understand the north may feel presidency is their birthright and feel GEJ is on "their" seat but why should the SW have any grievance against him.Because SW people want development and progress but GEJ through his actions have not demonstrated these traits |
Scam! #2015thing. BH in Bayelsa House in Lagos, BH want to bomb 3rd Mainlan Bridge. If any bomb goes off in SW look no other place than ABJ |
DaLover: Wonderful analysis, especially with quotes to Mbeki and South Africa .. Frank-C:Some corrections Bro. *We all know Oga @ the Top is the desperate one and not Amaechi. * Oga you can lie ooo...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_of_South_AfricaMbeki was a two-term SA President. He only tried to stop his VP (Zuma) from succeding him which failed. *Could you please provide evidence of that reasonable people's outrage against GEJ hounding of Amaechi is less than Silva's. |
Toaskarity: Its called politics my brother! No Mr.Abati built a name for himself a trustworthy personality. We erroneously believed we could take his words to bank. HE IS A COMPLETE DISSAPOINTMENT TO ALL ADMIRERS OF GOOD VIRTUES. |
I vote a Buhari against a Jonathan anyday anytime |
Akpan107: My dear, is not a threat, that is what oil rich Niger Deltans are going to do when anybody tries to play with our destiny. We ''must'' complete our second term of 4 Years and nobody can stop us. Take note of the word ''must''. must is not a word of under probability!Dear Akpan, Many critics of President Jonathan are just dissapointed he is not living up to expectations. Give them an Amaechi, a Pat Utomi, an Oshiomole or even Akpabio they will happily vote for any of these again and again. |
Heffalump: Fashakin is a dirty Politician. I was expecting him to prove where Abati lied, but none. Constructive criticism is welcome in a democratic setting, but not this rag tagged rebelion showcased by Fashakin. You can't snatch victory by resorting to rampage and clueless e-war. Nigerians must always find the truth, no matter the attempt to conceal it.Just helping out. He said in his original communication he never gave any reason why the President missed his speech but only questioned the logic behind the President's decision as announced by the Govt. But in Abati's reply he implied Fashakin/CPC blamed the President's absence on "liquor". You can read both texts again and get the flow |
rooftech: my friend wole, you ve lost our respects.you are a conartist.Your friend Wole does not need your respect at 80+. IBB dangled Billions to taint him he simply cried out and chose a good name. Achebe of blessed memory rejected all fake respects and decoration... |
I do not rate reports especially ones coming from people of questionable characters. Next time he should do a video/photo powerpoint presenation of his government achievements in all facets of our polity. Those will be easy to rate since TRUSTING HIM IS NOW DIFFICULT FOR MOST DISCERNING MINDS. Talk is cheap |
Heavily delivered ON POINT! |
The news sound so beer-parlourish but VERY PLAUSIBLE. This FG has never hidden its desperation towards 2015. The first battle of PDP 2015 Presidential candidate selection war (that trew up Anenih) was determined in the same manner. I wonder why the President is so desperate about the Leadership of NGF when out of the 36 members of this body 12 of them belong to opposition parties. This body has no constitutional recognition or statutory roles. It is just a registered forum. If these Governors allowed themselves to be cowered by the President then none of them is worthy to be a State Governor in the first place. I may understand the stands of Gov Imoke, Mimiko or Shema and those who are already with him but others just have no excuse to allow unwarranted bullying. This will show they lack credibility, self-determination, and purpose. For me, if he succeded in muscling up the Govs against their belief then we should forget about a free and fair 2015 Presidential election. He will repeat the same thing and ... President Jonathan's tenure MUST COME TO AN END ONE DAY and why will any reasonable Gov be swayed by his treaths. When OBJ seized Lagos council funds Yaradua came and paid-up to the last kobo. As long as this country remains one an Anti-Jonathan President will emerge in the near-future and revisit all his current actions and inactions. |
Very convenient...let's blame the dead |
finebadtboy: Funny! Can you go up and read my earlier reply. How is the State University doing, what about the health facilities, do we have water supply in the state, most schools are without teachers. If you say I'm tribalistic then you do not know how to critique a government devoid of sentiment.Ahhh are you new on NL? U dont know Eko-Ile ni? Sorry U don enter one chance Sir |

IGBO-SON: ![]() I am sorry you are dissapointed Brother. Some of us have grown through their deceits soo much that we are now perpetually skeptical UNTIL WE SEE PICTURES OR VIDEOS. Warning! Dont trust any politrician. Only judge them by achievements. |
KnowAll: [size=18pt]The bottom lines are the Yoruba's will vote ACN in the Gubernatorial elections but the Presidential elections would probably go to Jonathan, I see a repetition of the 2011 election results.U might be wrong though. 80% of voters in Ekiti, Osun and Ogun will vote for whoever their Leaders campaign for/with. The same trend is highly probable in Ondo where the Governor has a soft spot for President Jonathan. Lagos will be the battle-ground state. * For instance A Buhari/Rochas against Jonathan/Sambo will confuse resident Igbos who are the predominant voting bloc after the Yoruba. In as much as most Igbo people will prefer President Jonathan to any Northerner seeing their OWN RENOWN SON on the ballot may make them change their minds. The Yoruba voters may remain largely indifferent as they did in 2011. PDP should carry the day all the same in Lagos, however if Lagos ACN or APC thoroughly campiagned for their candidates (say Buhari/ Rochas) at the grassroots then the story may not be the same. * The game killer is if it is Buhari/Fashola. The votes will simply go tribal. ACP will simply win. |
PLEASE THIS AUSPICIOUS OCCASION OF PROJECTS COMMISSIONING SHOULD HAVE 1000x PICTURES FOR THE DOUBTING THOMASES |
solomon111: Go to sincere9ygerian's nairaland account, and you will see picturial evidence.I see you are a lapdog trainee. Insecere9igerian I know, who are you? I will no longer dignify you with any response. I dont debate rude and crass nuts. |
Lord please protect all the innocent and bring peace back to our fatherland. |
Please I want to pictures ooo. I dont believe politricians again. I have seen a good number of female commercial tri-cycle drivers in Lagos so training them to drive truck should not be a big deal. Like many have pointed out we have women driving trains, truck, buses in US, UK and many other developed nations. |
