We warned you guys and your Boss when he started using impunity and under-hand measures to enforce his authority. He taught the break-away guys all they are using against him today.

He relies too much on devisive means: weeping religious and ethnic sentiments to gain favour. He has, successfully, divided everything he met 'delicately' sewn together.

I am not sure of the vercaity of this https://www.nairaland.com/1440512/ogun-poorest-state-southern-nigeria though.
My point is (in my books) Ogun state Govt has performed much better that the FG....

Sagamite: That is purely impossible.

PoliticsRe: Lagos-ibadan Express Road Work In Progress by solopumpy227: 9:10pm On Sep 16, 2013
Just some observations from comments on this thread:

* The GEJ-led FG seems not to have started/completed much verifiable projects in SW region of the nation (may be the situation is the same in other regions)
* The GEJ-led FG seems not to be interested in honest and deliberate development but deciept to win 2015 favour.
* Ogun state has the 'lowest' GDP in the Southern Nigeria but the State government which is ~ 2 years younger than GEJ-led FG has achieved so much in area of urban renewal and road construction throughout the State
* Why is it always difficult to find pictures of FG projects with the lion share of the national cake?

President Goodluck Jonathan is right.

* OBJ was the one that 'promised' the North to serve for only one term.
* OBJ 'annuled' Amhadu Ali's election as PDP BOT Chair and imposed Anenhi against a popular choice.
* OBJ was the one that suspended Ameachi and Bafarawa ...
* OBJ is the one that 'deactivated' the entire SW organ of PDP
* OBJ facilitated the removal of Oyinlola, Sam Jaja and co...
* OBJ was the one that banned about 50 aspirants 'not loyal' to GEJ to contest for executive positions at the special mini conference...

calaway: Is he not an Aboki man? Give a bomb rigged vest as see if he will not detonate when in the same room with GEJ.
you talk as if you dont know these people.
The last Nigeria censor put the population of the country at over 180 Million, almost 60 % of this figure is from the North (the Abokis).

If you hate the fellow Nigerians (Abokis) that much I will advise you start pushing for referendum for separation.

GEJ you are defending here will give anything to have Kwankwaso back on his side. In the build-up to 2011 Presidential election, on the podium were GEJ and Kwakwanso being cheered by 100s of 1000s of supporters, Kwankwaso picked up the MIC and the crowd went gaga,he finished his speech and handed the MIC to GEJ the crowd started walking away with a Hausa song 'we are here for Kwakwanso not GEJ'. GEJ did not finish his speech as the sea of people he saw a few minutes before turned into an empty arena in a twinkle of an eye.

Buhari will be a political suicide if APC nominate him for presido n u can neva have Buhari/Fashola (Muslim/Muslim) not trying to be a Bigot just say how it works in Nigeria.

Because he is the only one in the history of Nigeria Presidential contest to single-handedly win ~12 Million votes with little or no campaign fund.
PoliticsRe: APGA Appeal Panel Upholds Disqualification Of Soludo And Five Others In Anambra by solopumpy227: 8:44am On Aug 18, 2013
As a principle I stay out of tribal wars on NL. I feel bad about many comments that the usual suspects from the SW/SE have been making on this forum.

I, particularly, find it worrisome the SW tribal warriors will not take any form of criticism of Fashola/Tinubu etc (especially from a SEerner). I will say they are lucky because most of the present Govs in this region seem to be inclined to developing their States than looting them dry.
But more disturbing is the mindsets of the SE tribal warriors. They seem to hate anything (good or bad)that is wrapped in Western or Northern package.
The welfare and future development of our people should be the foremost factor to consider when making important decisions.
Why will you just 'demonise' Ngige and Okorocha for instance for choosing to identify with APC instead of another party. To me, what is important should be the track-records and quality of decisions made by these people.
Oshiomole started alone, he wittingly observed he could not do it alone, accepted ACN platform and other supports, won the election but rigged out, accepted ACN aids again, got his mandate back, paid his dues to the God-fathers, mark his time, then broke himself off from the shackles of Anenhin and Tinubu.
Why cant Soludo go to APC or PDM if he is the people's choise?
Foreign AffairsRe: Haunting Pics From Egypt Crisis.(warning) by solopumpy227: 4:31pm On Aug 17, 2013
Longeria: That's what obtained when people start demanding for change just for fun of it. Next may be nigeria if Nigeria's replica of Muslim brother hood, APC is mistakinly allowed into power, God forbid. Change is good, but not all change is good, a change from frying pan to fire is actually a change but not desirable. Egyptians thought otherwise and they are paying handsomely.
On your refrence to Naija any form of change to the current regime is most likely to be better- we have never had it so bad.

While I agree APC composition is not too different to the failing PDP I still believe some individuals abound in both parties that can make some positive changes from the current retrogression.

Buhari,Fashola,Ribadu, Oshiomole, Okorocha etc are tested achievers (by Nigeria standard) while PDP' s Amaechi, Akpabio, Odia, and Nweala are all light years ahead of GEJ as presidential materials.

PoliticsRe: 2015: Buhari, Tambuwal Divide APC by solopumpy227: 9:39am On Aug 17, 2013
njideoby: So these 2 men are the best that APC can offer, that's too bad because both of them combined cannot equal half a win for APC against GEJ.
Mind you I'm no PDP supporter, but let the best candidate win.
My sister this is Nigeria- being the best candidate alone wont win an election here you need to be popular and be supported by powers that matter.

Tambuwal/Buhari are not the best candidates in APC but (by Nigerian standard) either of them is the most auspicious option for the new party if they really want to give PDP a good fight in 2015.

In 2011 Buhari alone (with absolutely NOTHING) was able to win ~12 Million votes while GEJ/PDP won the Presidential election with about ~22 Million votes.

Tambuwal (House of Reps Speaker) is a PDP Stalwart with a-more-than-normal followership in the Lower House. He is not the kind of candidate PDP want to loose to APC.

Do not forget the ACN/SW factor in APC too: these people in 2011 have 14 Million registered voters only second to Northwest.
PoliticsRe: 2015: Buhari, Tambuwal Divide APC by solopumpy227: 9:22am On Aug 17, 2013
samuelkaykay: This political death is too early, its very clear APC cant wrestle power from PDP in 2015 but i want APC to give them a hot chase that will enable a proper wake-up.
Dont be too sure Brother. There is no doubt that the Southern organs of APC are more inclined to the young Speaker while the Northern organ seem to still have hope in Buhari.

Events in other main opposition camps (PDP and Northern Govs/OBJ) camps will shape how APC will manage Buhari/Tambuwal.

If PDP/GEJ managed to regain the loyalty of the North and Amaechi then APC may have no choice than to fly the most popular candidate- Buhari.

If the Northern PDP stuck to destroying GEJ 2015 ambition by weakening the PDP base in the North it will be strategic for APC to destroy PDP further by flying Tambuwal and still having Buhari leading the campaign in the North.

In summary "The Northern PDP Govs hold the ace to 2015 Presidential election"
PoliticsRe: INEC Registers Atiku And Nine Governors Party by solopumpy227: 9:10am On Aug 17, 2013
Longeria: In 2007 when he left PDP to Ac, we heard he went there with all powerful pdm, during election, he was trashed. And now the pdm as a party?

Can someone wake me.
Events of 2007 and 2011 will be different from 2015. In 2007 Atiku left PDP alone while OBJ managed to retain Northern loyalty and National cohesion in PDP through Yaradua.
In 2011 The G5 PDP Govs (with OBJ) led the bloc that sacrificed Atiku at the PDP Presidential primary. They delivered the ticket for GEJ, probably, based on some eralier understandings/agreements.
If the majority of the Northern PDP Govs have resolutely decided to work with Atiku then they must have decided to destroy the GEJ 2015 Presidential ambition at any cost.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Where Immigrants Deport Immigrants by solopumpy227: 9:36pm On Aug 11, 2013
I hate tribalism and religious sentiments but unfortunately these evils have been overused by the current GEJ-led FG to win support.
As much as some of us try to ignore this fact we are all going back to our tents. The FG has encouraged ethnic devisions and religious sentiments to further beyond 2015.
I see everyone going back to the regional politics of yester-years where you cast your vote solely to protect your ethnic inteset ONLY.
The Igbo-man will not vote a good Igbo APC candidate because the party was championed/formed mainly by other regions.
A Yoruba-man cannot blame Fashola for obvious wrong-doing as long as the Igbo-man is at the recieving end.
In all this I blame one man...overwhelming support, good will, high expectations, brilliant opportunity, ALL WASTED!

Is it Lagos state government that is developing Lagos?
The federal government and investors from other states including foreign investors are those doing the Job, Lagos government is only administering and controlling traffic just like what Information Minister Labaran Maku said.
Okay what is your point?
Since you are not happy with the Leadership of Lagos why not relocate to where you feel more comfortable.
Can you name 10 projects that have been started and completed by the GEJ-led FG since he got into office?
Foreign investors probably like the Leadership style of Lagos, if you have better place for them why not show them and leave Lagos alone?

How many times have you seen a US President telling bear-face lies in front of tv?

PoliticsRe: Northern Elders, Youths Endorse Jonathan For 2015 by solopumpy227: 11:13am On Jul 28, 2013
A couple of weeks ago it was 'Intrigue as GEJ replaces Sambo with Yerima 2015'. Last week 'Al'Mustapha to help GEJ win Yobe and Borno'.
Yerima even visited the Aso Rock with Moslem warriors to pray for our born-again President against his 2015 re-election bid but they did not leave without asking for Hajj sponsorship...

GEJ foot-soldiers can mobilize 100s of fake Northern supporters to keep there livelihood. The truth on ground is that GEJ will vote in an Otuoke ward in 2015 while the 19 Northern Govs will be in their States at the same time telling people who to vote for.
PoliticsRe: Amaechi On Face-off With President Jonathan (Video) by solopumpy227: 10:59am On Jul 28, 2013
KenGali: I think Amechi will do himself a lot of good by not talking, each time he does he reveals his foolishness!
Goof No1!
If the wife of the President, who is a citizen of your state is not a stakeholder in your government, it is then the voice of the ordinary citizen that you will hear!
In a democracy, you do not need to be a public official to be a stakeholder. Amechi is no different from the likes of Robert Mugabe who believes in absolutes, and that they alone know what is good for the people.
Other states with the opportunity of having a First Lady, have used it to leaverage federal presence, Amechi is fighting his cause she is not a public official. Talk of leadership skills and stakeholder management.

Goof No2!
The state governor who is the chief security officer of his state will not brief the president, because the president has only Rivers state to manage out of 36 states. Talking of poor reasoning. As long as the chief security officer of the state is silent, autonomy of the state demands that the president gives him the space to manage his state unless the problem becomes magnified to a national issue. If Amechi is not managing the security of his state because the President has not come from Abuja to notice what happened, then Amechi is only pointing to his own incompetence and poor understanding of his responsibilities as a governor. It took Governor Fayemi to remind him of his responsibility, maybe Fayemi should Govern Rivers state instead.

So many poorly constructed thoughts, and the demeanour of arrogance! He sounds so unpolitical with his dismissal of major stakeholders in his state. Imagine publicly talking of zoning a future public election in your state, not zoning of party primaries, how then do you allow the electorate to vote when you have already constrained them in a democracy. Where is this man's respect for the constitution to which he vehemently points to all the time.
Hello Bro I will like to know your view about involvement of the President in Rivers crisis.
