In my opinion, yes, a woman may check on her husband's phone deliberately or by chance; men should be aware of this and delete quickly or remain faithful. The op under-estimated this risk. The wife overreacted and this is annoying the husband: wife has a huge anger. Management problem which shocked husband. Advice is calculate the losses of a divorce versus her good features and your role in the issue. It's your choice. |
haul:It's possible. There was a documented case where a young man was arrested for this kind of behaviuor in a voting queue in Nigeria. He had pushed hard and rubbed his erect joystick against a woman on tge queue and ejaculated on her, wet himself. Woman raised alarm. The police arrested him and was sentenced by the judge. If this is the preferred sexual lifestyle of the person ie rubbing against people for sexual gratification, it is called frotteurism. |
The issue of involuntary nocturnal ejaculation ie wet dream, is a mechanism whereby the body gets rid of excessive semen and sperm. Most of the times the individual has not had sex for a long time. The buildup leads to trigger mechanisms that involve generating an erotic pleasurable dream that induces erection, hormonal rise and the nerve stimulation to release the ejaculate. Quite embarrassing for most men. It has nothing to do with a spiritual wife. A similar mechanism occurs sometimes when you have a full bladder while asleep. You may experience a dream in which you are encouraged to pass urine. If. You obey the encouragement you may wet your bed Ask your family doctor for more information. While buhari and APC are making speeches PDP lies low buying votes and sharing the money to sway the people. Money answers everything for PDP. |
klark3:What does ROTFL mean? |
Jameselias:Absolutely right! God has nothing to do with what happens in your church. Church is an association of Christians who made rules of ethical and moral behaviours for themselves. It's up to them to enforce these rules. That's why pastors would defraud the church members and nothing happens. Man made God in his own image. That's all folks! |
SilentPrince:Same issue as in oshomoile/aravbhare case. Gov oshomole had no primary school cert, the minimum required by the constutititon for governorship, but he had a model school leaving cert which is higher than the primary school cert. The hopeless PDP candidate dragged the case to court and lost to oshomole. |
PDP lawyer did not prove how Buhari and inec are evading serve of notice, their legal reps/advisors have offices. PDP is just out to embarrass Buhari. Let's see the published summons. Abuja courts are not trustworthy. |
Few hours before New Year of 2007, Kelechi Charles Emeruwa ambushed his estranged wife, Chidiebere Omenihu Ochulo at her home in a manicured Maryland suburb, armed with a kitchen knife. Emeruwa sliced and stabbed Chidiebere several times until she collapsed and died. Chidiebere, a registered nurse died at 36, leaving behind a raging estranged husband and three children. Chidiebere, was found dead on January 2, 2007. Days later, Emeruwa, then 46, was captured and charged with her murder. Today, he sits in a Maryland penitentiary serving life sentence for fatally stabbing his estranged wife to death. This killing is just one amongst several horrible stories of Nigerian husbands that had gruesomely murdered their wives within the past 10 years in America. These women were either registered nurses or professionals in the medical field. Between 2006 and 2014, more than 50 Nigerian husbands murdered their wives in what might be considered crimes of passion as a result of alienation of affection, women empowerment, emasculation, and loss of self esteem. But are these enough reasons to slay their wives or are these ego trips because they were no longer the proverbial "bread winners of the family?" It is strange and difficult to determine the cold killings as most husbands awaiting trials remained mute. During trials, plea bargains were usually negotiated which led to sentencing of several years in jail or life terms in place of death sentences. In the case of David and Priscilla Ochola of Hennepin, Minnesota, the killer- husband, during a call to the police confessed to killing his wife because he was tired of being disrespected. On a cold January day in Minnesota, arguments ensued between David and his wife Priscilla: David, enraged during the argument, dashed into his bedroom, fetched his gun and fatally shot his wife. He called the police and explained thus: "Yes I have killed the woman that messed up my life; the woman that has destroyed me. I am at Shalom West. My name is David and I am all yours." Priscilla Ochola was a 28-year-old registered nurse. The 50-year old husband allegedly told authorities that he was tired of being "disrespected" by his wife. He married Priscilla in Nigeria, relocated her to United States and sponsored her nursing education. The couple had two children. In an early morning altercation on March 22, 2014, Mr. Martin Ebegbodi, 63 fatally shot his wife Isioma Ebegbodi, a 36-year-old medical doctor, in their sprawling Harris County home in Texas. After killing his wife, Martin went to a neighbour's house and asked him to call the police. When deputies arrived, Martin was arrested and charged with the murder of his wife. The couple got married in 2005. Two days after Christmas of 2013, Babatope Owoseni, a Nigerian resident in East Orange, New Jersey, violently subdued his pregnant Senegalese wife in the bath tub of their apartment and strangled her to death. Babatope by early 2014 was charged with double murder. These are some of the most chilling reports of gruesome killing of Nigerian registered nurses and women in the medical profession by their Nigerian husbands in United States of America. Mrs. Felicia Harrison, a registered nurse in Southern United States reasoned that the killings of these women by their husbands might be related to the stress of the profession, especially from the women who were stressed because of the responsibility they assumed as sometimes bread winners of the family. The stress affected their relationships at home with their husbands. Stress from work may be a contributing factor to domestic quarrels that ensued at home. Nursing profession is stressful, though financially rewarding, immigrants face social and psychological stresses additionally because, according to Harrison, "being a foreigner, it is, difficult for you in terms of communication and accent among co-workers, patients, family members and others in the interdisciplinary healthcare field. You find out that you are not as fast as the demand requires, on chores as the citizens are. You really have to do more by working harder to prove yourself. Often times, there is nothing that you do that pleases the patient because you are a foreigner; you face lots of limitations in moving up the clinical ladder and restrictions in terms of positions. Not to talk of bullying, racism, discrimination, envy. A lot of the stress we carry home and when we get to our homes, most Nigerian men feel that since their wives are nurses, they don't need to work again. They become lazy and wait for the woman to work, be a mother to the children, and still open legs for them to chop dried onugbu. There is no money in nursing except you work plenty overtime hours. Jebose, some buy big houses on mortgage with the hope that since the woman don become nurse, money go full everywhere. Honestly, those wey kill their wives na because of greed and laziness. Why can't the men go and study nursing and leave the woman alone? It's not easy; I work in the Heart Center and it's very stressful." Despite the sad end of these nurses, American nursing profession continues to witness a surge of immigrant entrants into the profession. Mrs. Princess Ekeoma Eronini-Ahanonu, a Philadelphia-based nurse, says, "I come from a family of nurses and doctors. My mother retired as a nurse and my brother is a medical doctor. Nursing is a challenging profession. I have had good and bad experiences especially in relating with my co-workers. Some of my good experiences were working together as a team to ensure the well being of my patients and the worst is being reminded that I have an accent. I had just graduated from the University of Port Harcourt as a Linguist in Foreign Languages before my sojourn to the United States of America. A lot of people go into nursing in America for various reasons. Some of these reasons are flexibility, pay and freedom of choice. The profession pays well if you work hard. I do not regret being a nurse in America because it has given me the opportunity to understand the world better. It is, though not a bed of roses. It is the survival of the fittest." Harrison and Eronini-Ahanonu agreed that regardless of the stress and challenges of the nursing profession, it has been able to stabilise and enrich most practitioners and their families in such unique ways. It has also brought about sad situations such as losing dear loved ones, killed by their spouses. "Jebose, I chose to go into nursing profession as a stepping stone upon my arrival from Nigeria to United States because it was the only profession I was able to get a job. When my family and I relocated to United States as legal aliens and precisely Raleigh, North Carolina, two weeks after getting our legal documents; I began to search for the same kind of work I was doing while in University of Jos, Nigeria. I filled out lots of job applications to various universities within and outside North Carolina without a success. One of my brothers-in-law advised me to go into nursing because it would be much easier to get a job in nursing field faster than any other profession for foreigners. And it worked out as soon as I got certified, then. "In terms of positive experience, it has been very rewarding and worthwhile." Source: http://odili.net/news/source/2015/feb/1/800.html |
discusant:In GMB's time u did not need o level to enter the army. Buhari has GCE with which he was admitted to do courses in Oldershott, UK. HE HAS MASTERS DEGREE FROM Pennsylvania, United States of America. Cambridge university London already confirmed Gmb has a certificate of GCE. The case is dead on arrival when GMB shows his certificate in court. Only INEC can complain about uncompleted form. PDP stop disgracing yourselves, stop playing dirty politics. There are many features in the composition of honey that together combine to give it its antimicrobial properties. Feature Antimicrobial action High osmolality Honey is a saturated or supersaturated solution of sugars that has strong interaction with water molecules. The lack of ‘free’ water inhibits the growth of microorganisms. Hydrogen peroxide When honey is diluted by wound exudates, hydrogen peroxide is produced via a glucose oxidase enzyme reaction. This is released slowly to provide antibacterial activity but does not damage tissue. Antibacterial phytochemicals Some honeys still have antimicrobial activity even when hydrogen peroxide activity has been removed. The honey from Manuka trees (Leptospermum scoparium) has been found to have high levels of this antibacterial phytochemical. In addition to its antimicrobial properties, honey also appears to stimulate lymphocytic and phagocytic activity. These are key body immune responses in the battle against infection. What is honey used to treat? Honey is most commonly used as a topical antibacterial agent to treat infections in a wide range of wound types. These include: Leg ulcers Pressure ulcers Diabetic foot ulcers Infected wound resulting from injury or surgery Burns In most cases, honey is used when conventional antibacterial treatment with antibiotics and antiseptics are ineffective. Numerous studies have shown that these difficult-to-heal wounds respond well to honey dressings. Inflammation, swelling and pain rapidly subside, unpleasant odours stop, debridement is enhanced as the honey dressings remove dead tissue painlessly and without causing damage to the regrowing cells. Honey promotes rapid healing with minimal scarring. Honey can also be used as first aid treatment for burns as it has potent anti-inflammatory activity. What honey to use? For centuries it has been known that different types of honey exhibit differences in antibacterial activity. In recent years, honey from different sources have been studied and a few have been identified as having particularly high antibacterial activity. Manuka honey gathered from the manuka tree Leptospermum scoparium, native to New Zealand, has exceptionally high antibacterial activity, with about half of this type of honey having high levels of non-peroxide activity (ie: high levels of antibacterial phytochemical activity present). It is important for honey to have this additional non-peroxide antibacterial component as factors such as acidity, catalase and protein-digesting enzymes in wound fluids all work towards reducing the hydrogen peroxide antibacterial effectiveness. For the treatment of infected wounds, it is important that a sterilised, laboratory-tested honey for medicinal purposes is used. Honey produced from manuka trees is tested for antibacterial activity and given a potency rating called a UMF (Unique Manuka Factor). The higher the UMF rating, the greater the level of antibacterial activity. Medical professionals in New Zealand use active manuka honey with a rating of UMF 10 or higher. UMF graded honey is also sterilised by gamma irradiation without loss of any antibacterial activity. How to use honey on wounds All difficult to heal wounds should be seen by your doctor. The following are general tips on how honey may be used for wound care. The amount of honey used depends on the amount of fluid exuding from the wound. Large amounts of exudate require substantial amounts of honey to be applied. The frequency of dressing changes depends on how rapidly the honey is being diluted by the exudate. This should become less frequent as the honey starts to work on healing the wound. Occlusive dressings help to prevent honey oozing out from the wound. It is best to spread the honey on a dressing and apply this to the wound than apply the honey directly onto the wound. Dressing pads pre-impregnated with honey are commercially available and provide an effective and less messy alternative. Abscesses, cavity or deep wounds need more honey to adequately penetrate deep into the wound tissues. The wound bed should be filled with honey before applying the honey dressing pad. Source: http://odili.net/news/source/2015/jan/25/328.html When the video was shown to the husband, his initial reaction was to dismiss the whole scene as a concocted fairy-tale- a sick joke that his haters had pulled, to embarrass and diminish him. How could his wife who had given him four beautiful kids and was there for him as 'the rock of Gibraltar' be caught in such a lurid act? His wife was a respected member of the Nigerian community in Maryland, United States and was the hardworking and successful manager of nurses in a reputable Washington DC hospital. But what he didn't understand was that the video he was being shown had already gone viral and practically every member of the Nigerian community spread all over the continental United States had viewed it several times and were all shocked and filled with righteous indignation over such an embarrassing conduct by an otherwise happily married woman. The video, recorded by a sick and depraved lover of the Nigerian-American nurse, had shown the woman, her face clearly in view and well defined, in various stages of intimacy and to imagine a husband looking at the video of his wife in intimate moments with another man and having the same video seen by millions of people was too much for him to handle. He was seized by a paroxysm of anger and dread and went into shock. The wife, too, having known that the jig was up, was said to have also become suicidal and had to be kept for observation in hospital with the possibility of losing all that she had worked for in the United States- her marriage, her career and her children's love and adoration, simply because she had allowed fleeting sexual emotions to dominate her thought process. According to sources, the lady, whose names are withheld here, was seemingly happily married and the union had been blessed with four children. The husband, also names withheld, was said to be very proud and supportive of his wife's spirit of industry and enterprise and both had led a seemingly happy marital life. However, unknown to the man, the wife was engaged in a torrid affair with an African- American male janitor at the hospital (the janitorial angle is what really offended a lot of the Nigerian community who had seen the video) where she works. The affair was said to have gone on for years and both had done a great job concealing their romantic involvement. However, the African – American lover was said to have felt betrayed by a promise made, which was not fulfilled by the married mother of four and he decided to blackmail her, with an invitation to their regular rendezvous. Unknown to the lady, the act for the day was fully recorded and, still unable to fulfill her promise and not yielding to the blackmail, the incensed lover decided to upload the video on YouTube and what a feeding frenzy it generated by the Nigerian community in the U.S. The video was shared within minutes on Whatsapps and a major league embarrassment was created for the married mother of four. Word within the Nigerian community in Maryland is that the woman is still undergoing observation at the hospital and her marriage is as good as done. The above sad and unfortunate story illustrates the stress and strain that have bedeviled the institution of matrimony in the Diaspora. Husbands have killed their wives, wives have cheated on their husbands with reckless abandon, wives are challenging their husbands and assigning certain domestic chores to them, while men have abandoned the traditional roles of breadwinners and opted instead to be 'kept men' tending to the home front while the wife works. Everywhere the aroma of matrimony emits putrid odor, the emotionally nourishing enterprise of matrimony has been turned into an enterprise laden by zero-sum machinations- wives openly plot their husbands failures while the husbands treat their wives with disdain and contempt. Some have lost their children through the cracks in American social structure. The kids have been denied love and nourishment since all they see around them is fight and incessant verbal and physical abuse. How did we get to this junction where the divorces rates, physical and emotional abuse have become the defining features of the matrimony among Diasporians? |

Nigeria May suffer another loss of a devoted president as Buhari may too ill to complete a term in office. Read on INDICATIONS have emerged that prominent Northern leaders and elders who had initially declared support for the candidacy of General Muhammadu Buhari in the February elections have started reconsidering their position, following alarms that the general might be suffering a serious health challenge. Online channels had last week indicated that Buhari collapsed during the presidential campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Calabar, Cross River State. Though the party had denied the report, it was learnt that the development had immediately prompted meetings among top hierarchy of the Northern political establishment to review the Buhari situation. Sources in the polity had told Sunday Tribune that the North is becoming wary of a possible repeat of the situation it found itself following the death of President Umaru Yar'Adua in office in May 2010, some three years into his tenure, following a debilitating sickness. The illness had surfaced during the 2007 presidential campaign, leading to rumours of Yar'Adua's death, but he bounced back on the campaign train and won the election. "The North is beginning to rethink the promised support for Buhari in view of reports that he is suffering from a certain ailment which is believed to be wearing him down. There are also reports that the elders are pushing to cut a deal with Jonathan to complete his tenure in 2019 but extract a promise that power would be returned to the North via a younger and energetic Northerner," a source said. But APC spokesman in the South-East, Comrade Osita Okechukwu, had dismissed claims about Buhari's health, saying that the alarm was designed to create doubts about the APC presidential candidate. He said: "They are only trying to dig up what is non-existent; no record of their claim. The General has his doctor and anyone can contact him, rather than speculate." A Northern politician said at the weekend that the North was still suffering from the effect of Alhaji Yar'Adua's death in office, adding that it would be unfair to the North to risk the situation once again. "There were reports that Yar'Adua was ill before he was picked by former President Olusegun Obasanjo for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket. We saw the crisis coming but we believed that only God determines how long a human being will live. It would be bad for the North to have power return to the South-West barely ten years after Obasanjo spent eight unbroken years in Aso Rock," the source said, adding that the option before the North was to cut a deal on 2019 when they could settle down to raise a strong candidate. According him, the possibility of a truncated Northern presidency, in case Buhari mounts the saddle, will be too much for the North to bear again. He added that Yar'Adua's death, in 2010, resulted in power returning prematurely to the South, which is in line with the constitutional provisions. "If anything happens to Buhari, power will return to the South-West less than a decade after President Obasanjo left Aso Rock. The prospects are grim, both for the North and even the South-East that is queuing for their own turn," another Northern top brass said at the weekend. Besides, it was gathered that President Goodluck Jonathan had, during his recent visit to the Minna Hilltop home of former military leader; General Ibrahim Babangida, discussed details of Buhari's health with the former military leader, a development that was said to have prompted the Minna General to turn his support to Jonathan It was also gathered that prominent Northern leaders have already got wind of the discussions between IBB and Jonathan, leading to red hot discussions on the way forward in 2015. Here is Buhari's life story including education. He is basically a trained military officer Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) was born on 17 December 1942, in Daura, Katsina State, to his father Adamu and his mother Zulaihat. He is the twenty-third child of his father, Adamu. Buhari was raised by his mother, his father died when he was about three or four. [5] In 1971, Buhari got married to his first wife, the former first lady of Nigeria, Safinatu (née Yusuf) Buhari. They had five children together, four girls and one boy. Their first daughter, was Zulaihat (Zulai) named after Buhari’s mother. The other children are Fatima, Musa (deceased), Hadiza, and Safinatu named after her mother, Buhari's first wife.[6] In 1988, Buhari and his first wife Safinatu got divorced. In December 1989, Buhari got married to his second and current wife Aisha (née Halilu) Buhari. They have four children together. One boy and three girls. They are Aisha, Halima, Yusuf and Zarah. On 14 January 2006, Safinatu Buhari, the former first lady of Nigeria and Buhari's first wife, died from complications of diabetes.[7] She was buried at Unguwar Rimi cemetery in accordance with Islamic rites. In November 2012, Buhari's first daughter, Zulaihat (née Buhari) Junaid died from sickle cell anaemia, after having a baby two days before at a Hospital in Kaduna.[8] Early CareerEdit Buharl joined the Nigerian Army in 1962, when he attended the Nigerian Military Training College in Kaduna. From 1962-1963, he underwent Officer Cadets training at Mons Officer Cadet School in Aldershot in England, United Kingdom (Mons OCS was officially closed down in 1972). In January 1963, Buhari was commissioned as second lieutenant, and appointed Platoon Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in Abeokuta, Nigeria. From November 1963- January 1964, Buhari attended the Platoon Commanders’ Course at the Nigerian Military College, Kaduna. In 1964, he facilitated his military training by attending the Mechanical Transport Officer’s Course at the Army Mechanical Transport School in Borden, United Kingdom. From 1965-1967, Buhari served as Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion. He was appointed Brigade Major, Second Sector, First Infantry Division, April 1967 to July 1967. Buhari was made Brigade Major of the Third Infantry Brigade, July 1967 to October 1968 and Brigade Major/Commandant, Thirty-first Infantry Brigade, 1970-1971. Buhari served as the Assistant Adjutant-General, First Infantry Division Headquarters, 1971-1972. He also attended the Defense Services’ Staff College, Wellington, India, in 1973. From 1974-1975 Buhari was appointed Acting Director, Transport and Supply, Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport Headquarters.[9] Other roles include: Military Secretary, Army Headquarters,1978-1979 Member of the Supreme Military Council, 1978-1979 General Officer Commanding, Ibadan, Oyo State in 1979 and later that year he was redeployed as General Officer Commanding, Jos, Plateau State. From 1979 -1980, at the rank of colonel, Buhari attended the US Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States of America and gained a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies. Governor of North Eastern StateEdit In August 1975, after General Murtala Mohammed took power that year, he appointed Buhari as Governor of the North-Eastern State, to oversee social, economic and political improvements in the state. In February 1976, the North Eastern state was divided by the then Military Government into Bauchi, Borno and Gongola states. In August 1991, Yobe state was created from Borno state, while Gongola state was split into two states, Taraba and Adamawa. In October 1996, Gombe State was created from Bauchi State. Federal Commissioner for Petroleum and Natural ResourcesEdit In March 1976, the then Head of State, General Olusegun Obasanjo appointed Buhari as the Federal Commissioner (position now called Minister) for Petroleum and Natural Resources. When the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation was created in 1976, Buhari was also appointed as its Chairman, a position he held until 1978. Head of StateEdit Major-General Buhari was selected as Head of State to lead the country by middle and high-ranking military officers after a successful military coup d'etat that overthrew civilian President Shehu Shagari on December 31, 1983. At the time, Buhari was head of the Third Armored Division of Jos.[10] Buhari was appointed Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and Tunde Idiagbon was appointed Chief of General Staff (the de facto No. 2 in the administration). Buhari justified the military's seizure of power by castigating the civilian government as hopelessly corrupt, and his administration subsequently initiated a public campaign against indiscipline known as "War Against Indiscipline" (WAI). This policy won him national and universal applause, as a result of its effectiveness.[11] Economic Policy In order to reform the economy, as Head of State, Buhari started to rebuild the nation's social-political and economic systems, along the realities of Nigeria's austere economic conditions. The rebuilding included removing or cutting back the excesses in national expenditure, obliterate or remove completely corruption from the nation's social ethics, shifting from mainly public sector employment to self employment. Buhari also encouraged import substitution industrialisation based to a great extent on the use of local materials and he tightened importation.[12] On 7 May 1984, Buhari announce publicly for the first time his administration's 1984 National Budget. The budget had in it:: A temporary ban on recruiting federal public sector workers Raising of Interest rates Halting Capital Projects Prohibition of borrowing by State governments 15 percent cut from Shagari's 1983 Budget Realignment of import duties Reducing the balance of payment deficit by cutting imports It also gave priority to the importation of raw materials and spare parts that were needed for agriculture and industry. Other economic measures by Buhari took the form of counter trade, currency change, price reduction of goods and services. Foreign Policy Buhari's Military government continued largely with the foreign policy they inherited from Shehu Shagari. In January 1984, in his new year broadcast speech, Buhari stated that he would maintain and enhance diplomatic relations with all countries and international organisations such as the OAU, UN, OPEC, ECOWAS and the Commonwealth of Nations. He also stated that he would honour all treaty obligations entered into by previous governments, which he did. Buhari's foreign policy also focused on Africa, mostly Nigeria's Neighbours due to financial commitments.[13] 1985 coup and detentionEdit In August 1985, Major General Buhari was himself overthrown in a coup led by General Ibrahim Babangida and other members of the ruling Supreme Military Council (SMC).[14] Babangida brought many of Buhari's most vocal critics into his administration, including Fela Kuti's brother Olukoye Ransome-Kuti, a doctor who had led a strike against Buhari to protest declining health care services. Buhari was then detained in Benin City until 1988.[15] Buhari's admirers believe that he was overthrown by corrupt elements in his government who were afraid of being brought to justice as his policies were beginning to yield tangible dividends in terms of public discipline, curbing corruption, lowering inflation, enhancing workforce and improving productivity.[16] Chairman of the Petroleum Trust FundEdit Buhari served as the Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), a body created by the government of Genera Sani Abacha, and funded from the revenue generated by the increase in price of petroleum products, to pursue developmental projects around the country. A 1998 report in New African praised the PTF under Buhari for its transparency, calling it a rare "success story".[17] However, the same report also noted that critics had questioned the PTF's allocation of 20% of its resources to the military, which the critics feared would not be accountable for the revenue.[17] PoliticsEdit In 2003, Buhari contested the presidential election[18] as the candidate of the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP). He was defeated by the People's Democratic Party nominee, President Olusẹgun Ọbasanjọ, by a margin of more than eleven million votes. On 18 December 2006, Gen. Buhari was nominated as the consensus candidate of the All Nigeria People's Party. His main challenger in the April 2007 polls was the ruling PDP candidate, Umaru Yar'Adua, who hailed from the same home state of Katsina. In the election, Buhari officially took 18% of the vote against 70% for Yar'Adua, but Buhari rejected these results.[19] After Yar'Adua took office, the ANPP agreed to join his government, but Buhari denounced this agreement.[20] In March 2010, Buhari left the ANPP for the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), a party that he had helped to found. He said that he had supported foundation of the CPC "as a solution to the debilitating, ethical and ideological conflicts in my former party the ANPP".[21] Buhari was the CPC Presidential candidate in the 16 April 2011 general election, running against incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and Ibrahim Shekarau of ANPP. They were the major contenders among 20 contestants.[22] He was running on an anti-corruption platform and pledged to remove immunity protections from government officials. He also gave support to enforcement of Sharia law in Nigeria's northern states, which had previously caused him political difficulties among Christian voters in the country's south.[11] However, he remains a "folk hero" to some for his vocal opposition to corruption. [23] Buhari won 12,214,853 votes, coming second to the incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP, who polled 22,495,187 votes and was declared the winner.[24] Security ChallengesEdit In May 2014, in the wake of the 2014 Chibok kidnapping, Buhari strongly denounced the Boko Haram insurgency. He "urged Nigerians to put aside religion, politics and all other divisions to crush the insurgency he said is fanned by mindless bigots masquerading as Muslims”.[25] AwardsEdit Major-General Buhari (rtd) has received several awards and medals. In alphabetical order they include: Defense Service Medal (DSM) Forces Service Star (FSS) General Service Medal (GSM) Source http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buhari |
Yes, lemons taste yucky, acidic but they are pills for good health. Here are some health benefits of drinking lemon water Introduction Something that has been very important for my body during this 7-Day Spring Cleanse, but has also been a part of my daily routine for a few months now, is drinking warm lemon water. I have started (almost) every day with a glass of warm lemon water and it has made a huge differences for me. Warm lemon water in the morning helps kickstart the digestion process for the day. According to Ayurvedic philosophy, choices that you make regarding your daily routine either build up resistance to disease or tear it down. Ayurveda invites us to get a jump-start on the day by focusing on morning rituals that work to align the body with nature’s rhythms, balance the doshas and foster self-esteem alongside self-discipline. There are many health benefits of lemons that have been known for centuries. The two biggest are lemons’ strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and their use as a weight loss aid because lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser. Lemons contain many substances–notably citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, bioflavonoids, pectin, and limonene–that promote immunity and fight infection. HOW TO DO IT: You should be using purified water and it should be lukewarm not scalding hot. You want to avoid ice cold water, since that can be a lot for your body to process and it takes more energy to process ice cold water than the warm. Always use fresh lemons, organic if possible, never bottled lemon juice. I squeeze 1/2 a lemon with each glass and I drink it down first thing before I eat a single thing, or workout, etc. 10 Benefits to Drinking lemon water are : 1) Aids Digestion. Lemon juice flushes out unwanted materials and toxins from the body. It’s atomic composition is similar to saliva and the hydrochloric acid of digestive juices. It encourages the liver to produce bile which is an acid that is required for digestion. Lemons are also high in minerals and vitamins and help loosen ama, or toxins, in the digestive tract. The digestive qualities of lemon juice help to relieve symptoms of indigestion, such as heartburn, belching and bloating. The American Cancer Society actually recommends offering warm lemon water to cancer sufferers to help stimulate bowel movements. 2) Cleanses Your System / is a Diuretic. Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials in part because lemons increase the rate of urination in the body. Therefore toxins are released at a faster rate which helps keep your urinary tract healthy. The citric acid in lemons helps maximize enzyme function, which stimulates the liver and aids in detoxification. 3) Boosts Your Immune System. Lemons are high in vitamin C, which is great for fighting colds. They’re high in potassium, which stimulates brain and nerve function. Potassium also helps control blood pressure. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) found in lemons demonstrates anti-inflammatory effects, and is used as complementary support for asthma and other respiratory symptoms plus it enhances iron absorption in the body; iron plays an important role in immune function. Lemons also contain saponins, which show antimicrobial properties that may help keep cold and flu at bay. Lemons also reduce the amount of phlegm produced by the body. 4) Balances pH Levels. Lemons are one of the most alkalizing foods for the body. Sure, they are acidic on their own, but inside our bodies they’re alkaline (the citric acid does not create acidity in the body once metabolized). Lemons contain both citric and ascorbic acid, weak acids easily metabolized from the body allowing the mineral content of lemons to help alkalize the blood. Disease states only occur when the body pH is acidic. Drinking lemon water regularly can help to remove overall acidity in the body, including uric acid in the joints, which is one of the primary causes of pain and inflammation. 5) Clears Skin. The vitamin C component as well as other antioxidants helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes and it helps to combat free radical damage. Vitamin C is vital for healthy glowing skin while its alkaline nature kills some types of bacteria known to cause acne. It can actually be applied directly to scars or age spots to help reduce their appearance. Since lemon water purges toxins from your blood, it would also be helping to keep your skin clear of blemishes from the inside out. The vitamin C contained in the lemon rejuvenates the skin from within your body. 6) Energizes You and Enhances Your Mood. The energy a human receives from food comes from the atoms and molecules in your food. A reaction occurs when the positive charged ions from food enter the digestive tract and interact with the negative charged enzymes. Lemon is one of the few foods that contain more negative charged ions, providing your body with more energy when it enters the digestive tract. The scent of lemon also has mood enhancing and energizing properties. The smell of lemon juice can brighten your mood and help clear your mind. Lemon can also help reduce anxiety and depression. 7) Promotes Healing. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C), found in abundance in lemons, promotes wound healing, and is an essential nutrient in the maintenance of healthy bones, connective tissue, and cartilage. As noted previously, vitamin C also displays anti-inflammatory properties. Combined, vitamin C is an essential nutrient in the maintenance of good health and recovery from stress and injury. Freshens Breath. Besides fresher breath, lemons have been known to help relieve tooth pain and gingivitis. Be aware that citric acid can erode tooth enamel, so you should be mindful of this. No not brush your teeth just after drinking your lemon water. It is best to brush your teeth first, then drink your lemon water, or wait a significant amount of time after to brush your teeth. Additionally, you can rinse your mouth with purified water after you finish your lemon water. 9) Hydrates Your Lymph System. Warm water and lemon juice supports the immune system by hydrating and replacing fluids lost by your body. When your body is deprived of water, you can definitely feel the side effects, which include: feeling tired, sluggish, decreased immune function, constipation, lack of energy, low/high blood pressure, lack of sleep, lack of mental clarity and feeling stressed, just to name a few. 10) Aids in Weight Loss. Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. Studies have shown people who maintain a more alkaline diet, do in fact lose weight faster. I personally find myself making better choices throughout the day, if I start my day off right, by making a health conscious choice to drink warm lemon water first thing every morning. Do you drink warm lemon water every morning? What are your favorite benefits? *EDIT* I recently discovered how smart it is to zest my lemons before I juice them for my daily warm lemon water. I keep a container in the freezer and I just keep adding to it. It’s great to toss into pasta dishes, in salad dressings, etc. Source http://tasty-yummies.com/2013/03/18/10-benefits-to-drinking-warm-lemon-water-every-morning/

What's your view ? Do you agree with the Pope? Do al animals go to heaven. Read pope Francis' views below. Pope Francis, already hailed for progressive views about homosexuality and the origins of the universe, has contradicted his predecessor and conservative Catholic teaching by suggesting that animals may go to heaven when they die. According to Italian media reports, Francis made the comments during an appearance in St. Peter’s Square, when trying to console a little boy who had told him that his dog had died.“One day, we will see our animals again in the eternity of Christ,” the reports quote Francis as telling the child. “Paradise is open to all of God’s creatures.” The comments were clearly made in private conversation with the child and were not meant as a papal decree. And yet they are the latest in a string of more progressive statements from a Pope who has adopted a man-of-the-people persona. In October, Francis delivered a speech in which he said the theories of evolution and the Big Bang are real and God did not wave a “magic wand” to create the universe. And earlier this year, he asked, “Who am I to judge?” when discussing homosexuality. As for his most recent comments, it’s perhaps no coincidence that Francis chose his papal name in honour of St. Francis of Assisi, who not only left a life of wealth and excess to devote himself to a life of poverty and preaching, but also regularly preached to animals. St. Francis of Assisi is now known as the patron saint of ecologists for his love of animals and nature. Francis’s predecessors were divided on the issue. Pope Benedict rejected the notion that animals might go to heaven in a sermon, suggesting that when they die it merely signals the end of their life on earth. However, Pope John Paul II before him suggested that animals do have souls and are “as near to God as men are.” Source Read more: http://www.ctvnews.ca/world/do-all-dogs-go-to-heaven-pope-francis-leaves-pearly-gates-open-to-animals-1.2145039#ixzz3LkHezYkv |

Constant tardiness is a point number one in the top of the most intolerable things to do at your workplace. Moreover, there are many other behaviors that are forbidden to do in the office. If you want to be seen as a serious employee, you should stick to the rules of a workplace etiquette and avoid behaviors that can outrage or annoy your co-workers. 1. Gossips Socrates once said, “Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people.” By all means, try to be a strong and wise personality. Gossiping is a bad job killing quality, no matter where you are. It is better to avoid chitchats about your co-workers; otherwise you will run the risk of losing authority and job. Don’t forget that you go to your workplace for the one only purpose – to work. You can discuss your colleague’s personal life some other time, if necessary. At work, you are to show your professionalism. 2. Low morale Problems with low morale in the workplace are more obvious now. Low morale can hurt productivity, decrease cooperation between departments and increase your work errors. You should try to keep your morale on an appropriate level. If you show no enthusiasm for your duties, you will gain the reputation of a downer on the whole department. Your co-workers will lose desire to cooperate with you. Moreover, you should know that the higher authorities usually try to take immediate actions to get rid of bad employees in their companies, because they realize that low morale employees can drain morale faster than anything. 3. Conflicts People who work together may have differences in opinions and philosophy that usually leads to conflicts. When you face personality clashes you should take some reasonable actions to minimize the frequency of conflicts and the potential damage they can do in the workplace. One of the best and the most effective ways to resolve the conflict is to look for an acceptable compromise. Don’t let you co-workers bully and offend you in no circumstances. You should stay calm and do all possible things to resolve the conflict and maintain privacy at all times. Try to save going to your supervisor at a last resort, but if nothing helps to accomplish the reconciliation, then ask him or her for help. You are lucky if you are allowed to go to work casually dressed. If not, then you should appear dressed formally, because the rules apply to everyone. You should bear in mind that low-cut, tight fitting and short clothing at work is a bad idea. It can let you down and award you with a negative reputation and poor judgment in the office. It doesn’t matter if your wardrobe is limited, just make sure you always have a neat appearance. 5. “That’s not my responsibility” While complying with an occasional request from your supervisor to assist with tasks that are not a part of your job description, you can either agree or say, “That’s not my job.” If you want to get a job promotion, you need to do it. If you find this fact extremely unfair, you can refuse to take on someone else’s work load. This way you can say goodbye to your future promotion. 6. Not a team player If you want to be a successful employee, you should develop the skills to work together with your co-workers and be a valuable part of the team. It will help you build wonderful relationships with workmates and bosses. When you prefer to reduce or avoid communication during the lunch hour with your workmates or don’t bond with them during the free time, you run the risk of not being seen as a team player. 7. “That’s what she said” Surely, humor and laughter in the office can reduce stress and provide many other benefits. But, for God’s sake, don’t use this annoying joke. Try to keep dirty jokes and some kinds of flirtations out of the office. Sometimes, bad humor can also alienate co-workers and create a more hostile work environment. Don’t be the source of this annoying phrase in your office. Nowadays, many people have to work in the offices and stick to certain rules. It is desirable to be aware of all possible behaviors, which can lead to personal conflicts and spoil the reputation.
