I Don't understand what the op is fretting about. The ancient Egyptians who are Africans and the first to develop civilization were the first to use wigs. The women shave off their hair and wear wigs. The pharaohs wore wig beards!!
They showed the world how to look good on wigs.

White women also color their hair and use attachments and wigs.

Lawyers and judges use wigs in court too!!

Do you know if waves of Ebola disease epidemics affected our forefathers in the past? These animals are known to be reservoirs of the virus from which the virus enters the human population when animals are being processed for cooking. Other examples are: avian flu via poorly cooked infected chickens; yellow fever virus from monkeys to man via mosquitoes; HIV virus originally in monkeys then to man when hunted monkeys or chimpanzees are being butchered and processed for cooking.

How can a sane person be smuggling bush meat into the country at a time like this?
Who knows what they serve us as suya.
No life loving person should buy suya at times like this o.
Gbam!!

Ebola disease may be nature's own way of punishing us for damaging and endangering its species. Leave these animals alone. We have destroyed enough of their natural habitats already.
Christianity EtcRe: "I Serve A God Who Answers Prayers" - American Doctor Cured Of Ebola by Solozzo(m): 10:55pm On Aug 24, 2014
Ferisidowu: ... Lolz u talking of necrosis (programmed cell death)....... It doesn't make any sense bro.... Cells still regenerate so why do organisms die?
I think the aging may be due to continuous photocopying of genes: just like if you keep photocopying and repecopying the copied pages of a printed paper there would be gradual fading and errors leading to degeneration and death. Nature cannot help it. It appears there is a certain of copies you can of the genome of the organ cells before the fading and errors set in
Christianity EtcRe: "I Serve A God Who Answers Prayers" - American Doctor Cured Of Ebola by Solozzo(m): 10:36pm On Aug 24, 2014
I think the Doc has a right to attribute his healing to whatever source he pleases; he did acknowledge the benefit of Zmapp but expressed strong faith in the power of his God and Christ that helped him recover. In my opinion we do not really know yet the true nature of existence of the material world, how humanised monoclonal antibodies produced in a tobacco plant cures Ebola disease. While the world appears beautiful and organized, yet so chaotic, uncaring and punishing at times; unsaving, partial and even racist. The complexities are so much that it another science to unravel the source and purpose of the universe. For now let's help to enhance orde and peace in order to assure existence of the human genome before we too disappear like extinct creatures.
Forum GamesRe: Blue Pill Or Red Pill - Which Would You Go For {photo} by Solozzo(m): 8:39pm On Aug 23, 2014
I prefer the red pill, because bringing back the dead loved one is bringing back trouble. They would squirm about how you kept their graveside dirty, shared all their belongings and would attempt to retrieve them from you. They would become a burden on you as you have to look after them till they find jobs or business. Let the dead remain dead for ever. We will join them later.

HealthRe: Good News!! Four More Ebola Patients Discharged – Health Minister by Solozzo(m): 5:48am On Aug 19, 2014
Good news. They made a spontaneous recovery. We need to be sure they are now cured and non-infectious before discharge. Remember four people have died, making a mortality rate of at least 50-60%! still a deadly disease.

However in the first two months after cure, Ebola virus can still be transmitted through the sexual route. So sex holiday is mandatory for 8 weeks post cure from EVD.

HealthPls Sign To Petition Obama, Mappbiopharma And FDA To Release Ebola Drug In Naija by Solozzo(op): 12:19am On Aug 17, 2014
If you feel touched by the suffering and death of Nigerians from Ebola virus disease, and you believe that they should be helped by being part of the clinical trial and treatment with the new drug Zmapp, please go to this link on change.org and sign the petition

https://www.change.org/petitions/president-obama-the-fda-and-mappbiopharmaceuticals-bring-zmapp-for-clinical-trial-and-treatment-of-ebola-virus-disease-patients-in-nigeria

I opened the petition today to petition mapp biopharmaceuticals, makerslof Zmapp, the US food and drug admin and president Obama to allow Zmapp be used in Nigeria. Every signature goes to them. Pls sign, and send link via email, text messages and Facebook Twitter to get people to sign.

We had collected 53,000 signatures on this site earlier to pressure that the drug be used in Africa. FDA allowed a partial use which led to it being used in s leone, Liberia and guinea. If we can collect over a million signatures we can save more lives.

Thank you. This is the link again

Indeed why was Nigeria exempted?

Let us collect at least a million signatures to request FDA and mapbiopharmaceuticals to bring the drug to Nigeria
HealthRe: Nigerian Doctor Recovers, Discharges From Quarantine by Solozzo(m): 9:34pm On Aug 16, 2014
EBV infection has a mortality rate of about 80 -90%. The Doc is among the 10-20% survival even in the absence of curative treatment. There is no evidence that she used nano-silver, bitter cola or saltwater. Two or more survivors are expected. Congrats Doc!

However no unprotected sex for two months after recovery as EBV can still be transmitted through sex over that period(http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebola_virus_disease)

yerimastyle: Attack Ebola on a nanoscale
8 hours ago by Joe O'connell

The Ebola virus. Credit: Thinkstock
(Phys.org) —The Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa has claimed more than 900 lives since February and has infected thousands more. Countries such as Nigeria and Liberia have declared health emergencies, while the World Health Organization began a two-day meeting on Wednesday to discuss ways to battle the outbreak.

There is no known vaccine, treatment, or cure for Ebola, which is contracted through the bodily fluids of an infected person or animal. But that doesn't mean there's not hope. In fact, Chemical Engineering Chair Thomas Webster's lab is currently working on one possible solution for fighting Ebola and other deadly viruses: nanotechnology.

"It has been very hard to develop a vaccine or treatment for Ebola or similar viruses because they mutate so quickly," explained Webster, the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Nanomedicine. "In nanotechnology we turned our attention to developing nanoparticles that could be attached chemically to the viruses and stop them from spreading."

One particle that is showing great promise is gold. According to Webster, gold nanoparticles are currently being used to treat cancer. Infrared waves, he explained, heat up the gold nanoparticles, which, in turn, attack and destroy everything from viruses to cancer cells, but not healthy cells.

Recognizing that a larger surface area would lead to a quicker heat-up time, Webster's team created gold nanostars. "The star has a lot more surface area, so it can heat up much faster than a sphere can," Webster said. "And that greater surface area allows it to attack more viruses once they absorb to the particles." The problem the researchers face, however, is making sure the hot gold nanoparticles attack the virus or cancer cells rather than the healthy cells.

In addition to the gold nanostars, Webster's lab is also generating a nanoparticle that would serve as a "virus decoy," chemically attracting the virus to attack it rather than healthy cells.

While Webster's lab has been working in nanotechnology for about 15 years, it was not until recently that his lab started to explore the benefits of nanomedicine.

"We realized the potential," Webster said, noting that his student researchers use synthetic analogs that mimic viruses' structures. "There is obviously such a huge need right now for ways to treat Ebola and other viruses, and it's up to us to study and look at new and creative ways that traditional medicine really can't."

thegoodjoehunt3: Map BioPharma have agreed to release their Experimental drug (ZMapp) to Africans, what has stopped our President and the Minister of Health from contacting Them for the Experimental drugs (Supporting them financially). This embarrassment with this Nano Silver issue shows the height of incompetency in our health Ministry.

Even if they wanted to test it, it should have been in secret with top health researchers. This Minister of Health must go. He has been a total failure.
Agreed! Dr chukwu must go for incompetency and putting Nigerians at risk. Did he check what nano silver is before embarrassing the nation? And he is a doctor! Shame!

The same FG paid doctors one month full salary and 75% call duty allowance for July 2014 for doing nothing. Funny!!

THUNDER4real: GEJ is on point, the society is not a grave yard where nothing happens except quietness. At least with this move he has set fire on this case group (doctors), let's see how these doctors react.
But come to think of it, These doctors are so heartless, how can you be on strike for more than one month........They want to kill many Nigerians and then conduct mass burial for them. Most Doctors in Nigeria are not suppose to study medicine, they are so after superiorty complex and always finding way to milk the poor people.

FG always renege on their promises. They are waiting to be paid promised allowances
