PoliticsRe: Gej's Latest Facebook Update by Solozzo(m): 3:09pm On Oct 12, 2010
Let us face the truth Nigeria lacks most of the skills and capabilitie o manage our own affairs. W had just been in teh tecch age for only fifty years of independenc. We need support and supervision from the western world. We should be working in partnership with all the factions of govt to give us the training and skills to support our economy. If we can hire foreign coaches to prepare our football team how aobut our education, health and productiviety energy and so forth. We do not want to acknowlege our weaknesses but pretend we are so clever. Even the developed world model one another and hire expert share technology with each other to promote progress. U will not see a single western expert working in any of the ministries providing tech skills to us. OBJ started all this with his socalled indigenisation policy of the 70s which was the begining of our downfall. We are not interested in foreign supports because all we are after is to steal and enrich ourselves and not the country's progres. Tell me what model our curent roads, electrical and health is working with? We need foreign help and we need it badly and GEJ should stop blaming people for prefering foreign things when we are not able to produce the energy we need to make anything and keep boasting we are the biggest country in Africa. May african countries working in partnershp with foreign countries are ahead of naija. GEJ should wake up to the reality of helping naija partner progress with the developed world. He should be formulating long term policies and try to reverse the socalled indignesation policy which had not done us any good.
PoliticsRe: 'In Defence Of Life And Property' - Jonathan's Message On Facebook by Solozzo(m): 3:39pm On Oct 07, 2010
GEJ lacks political wit and tact. Making speeches on facebook is talking to whom? He should at this stage be seen to be uniting Nigerians and assuring them of their safety, and acting to ensure justice is done. After all  many of those northern  leaders he is criticising are from his own PDP party and are not doing worse than the other leaders from the other zones.

He is to me a man who is after power and not able to honour what members of PDP all had agreed upon as a balacnced way of sharing power. He was a sole beneficiary of the zoning agreement that brought Yaradua and himself to power. If the  PDP had agreed to share power among themselves using a zoning system, jonathan should be the one asking for this agreemetn to e honoured and forget about personal interest ; he can always contest in the after four years. Nigerians have the choice to make from other parties if they wanted a new fresh southerner to rule them. Jonathan is not a man of honour.
PoliticsRe: Gej Nailed Finally- Okah Spills The Bin! by Solozzo(m): 2:36pm On Oct 05, 2010
in my opinion i think GEJ must be anxious aobut the implication of coming from a region known to display antiNigeria attitudes and violence towards the integrity of Nigeria. He may be affraid this would mar his political chances and therefore absolved MEND of the bomb blast offence. If anything happens again he is finished because he would have shown that he cannot protect Nigerians. His best bet is to deal decisively with the offenders and bring about means to stall the tide of violence to innocent lives . mEND is known to be violent and do not hide their actions in the past; whether they did it or not they need to be brought to book and further investigation carried out to unravel the extent of the network involved
PoliticsRe: Gej Nailed Finally- Okah Spills The Bin! by Solozzo(m): 2:29pm On Oct 05, 2010
@Gbawe
why will SA not give Okah all the priveledges when he and MEND had been absolved of guilt by the President himself. It is pathetic that a group would claim responsibility for an offence and then be absolved so prematurely. Particularly when MEND had a record of terrorist acts in the past and had threatened violence. Jonathan prefers to use the opportunity to fight his political enemies, rather than allow the normal run of police work
PoliticsRe: Do You Believe The Official Report On 9/11 by Solozzo(m): 5:11pm On Sep 28, 2010
[@TayoD.
While I respect your expert opinion on the possibility that the twin towers collapsed from the impact of the planes, I do not trust the CIA and the politiicians in Washington. They are capable of concorting lies, intrigues in order to achieve their hidden agenda. Remember they put up a fake video of where Saddam hid his WMDs and at the end of the day could not find any evidence to support their claims. They probably relise that cooking up WMD sites in Irag would not hold as there were other investigators around. Also they had achieved their objectives in going to Iraq. But AMerica should realise that they killed more innocent Iraqs and Aghans than thosse of 9/11 and lost as many soldiers of their own as well as fatally injured victims of war on both sides. They should learn now that they were high handed in theri approach and that police work and detective undercover approach would have been a better and saner approach. Bush onlywanted to justify his stay in power by proving to americans that he can kill as many arabs and afghans in revenge.
PoliticsRe: Do You Believe The Official Report On 9/11 by Solozzo(m): 4:34pm On Sep 28, 2010
Thanks TayoD for the enlightenment. I am no expert in these fields but from basic physics the energy generated by the planes must be great indeed ; from my high school physics KE, Kinetic energy = half mass X velocity squared in m/s So a massive object like a plane flying at such a high speed would generate a huge amount of energy which it would dissipitate in a very short time on impact. This combined with jet fuel in the plane would generate heat, impact forces which can really demolish the building.

I guess the key issue is who was the masterind of this attack and why?
PoliticsRe: Gej Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Abia State (aba): by Solozzo(m): 3:44pm On Sep 28, 2010
In addition to the suggestions given in this topic, the police force in abia state need to be overhauled and a new commissioner of police and senior officers brought in from say Northern states. Aerial policing, CID activiity to trace kidnappers even after collecting ransom and releasing victims would also be helpful. However the most enduring abproaah in additon to effective police work is to look into dealing with some of the socioeconomic difficulties of the youth in the state as well - job creation, social welfare supports are ways of reducing crimes as well as improving morals.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Leaders Most Corrupt In The World -jega by Solozzo(m): 1:48pm On Sep 24, 2010
I am amazed that many of us are blaming Jega for saying the whole truth about nigeria's bad leadership publicly. He may be talking but the manner he says this showed the degree of conviction he holds about the truth. Nigerians should listen and learn that if you create a society that is geared towards improving the econoomy you improve your wealth If you steal and improverished your country you are just a poor man as well as the people you stole from. Babangida is one o the poorest men in the world today because he has no acces to regular public pipeborne water, no electricity in his home state and is at risk of sudden death anytime because of the health service sitution around him. Corrupted leaders are the most stupid people on earth
PoliticsRe: Will You Be A Black Man A Second Time? by Solozzo(m): 5:17pm On Aug 23, 2010
@HORUS

Many points of correction in your post Horus. Firsly white skin is not evidence of albinism. This is absolutely worng. The key reason is this/ both white and black skin have the same amounts of melanin. In white skin, the melann is mostly intracellular ie inside the skin cells; while in black skin, the melanin is mainly extracellularly distributed ie outside and between the cells leading to the black colour and the extra protection from ultraviolet rays of the sun. The distribution of melanin internally is equal in both races. Also there is no evidence that black people hear more or see more than white people at all. Individual differences in these sensory acuities exist withn the races for specific reasons.

One major difference in the genes of both white and blacck is the degree of variability ie the capacity to differentiate into other forms

The difference in gene variability  is the extra variability of genes of the black people ie they are rather weak and can easily mutate or change in form and that genetically each black man has a different signature . In contrast the white gene is quite strong and fixed and in terms of variability are about the same as other white man.

Thus the evolutionary potential of the black genetic pool  is much higher than that of whites. This had contributed to the belief that all races of the world evolved from the black race. Thus in simple terms , it is easier for a black man to give birth to a white child than it is for a white person to give birth to a black chld, though tthis phenomenon is extremely rare in itself. Both have advantages though in that the white genes are strong and thus can conserve good features more than the black genes that can easily lose them; the black genes on the other hand can evolve into more surviving forms in the future than the white who may find it harder to evolve to stronger forms.

So the survival of the human race lies with  the blacks. Hence protecting and saving black people is a good way to preserve mankind. Paleontological evidence supports this ; from the out of africa; homicids like the astrolopethicus to Neatherthals to homo sapiens all were made in africa, including modern man homo sapiens sapiens.

Thus i will choose to be a black man in another life but would be a hard choice to be a Nigerian unless the other life is 300 years time
Technology MarketRe: Laptop Skins Now In Nigeria: Dazzle Your Laptop by Solozzo(m): 6:50pm On Aug 21, 2010
These are very good products and from the thread a lot of people are keen to get these things and it is difficult for them to obtain them. This calls for an urgent need to establish some business plan where we able to pay for things from a distance: cheques, direct bank deposits, postal orders and credit cards, provide reliable postal address and be honest on both sides of the market table- ie customer and seller. Why can't we have Ebay Nigeria for instance and use paypal to pay for products. We have the internet services, banks and postal systems?

We need to consider this and get some policy guidance from the governement . It is a beautiful way to make money if only we can be honest with ourselves
CultureRe: Kneel Down And Feed Your Husband? by Solozzo(m): 7:48pm On Aug 18, 2010
This is an interesting and vexed post and I thank Ladyjide for bringing it up. Ladyjide only brought to our awareness how many modern women feel about some of the aspects of our traditional ceremonies that clash with our modern way of thinking, but I do n't think she would have had the courage to refuse the elders or the audience to kneel to feed her husband. Kneeling down to feed your husband is just a ceremony that has nothing to do with ur being submissive to him in the future, but failing to do so in public ceremony would only give people a false impression of your true nature and even create difficulties for u.

Remember Obama had bowed to king of Saudi Arabia and the Queen of England because he undersood the tradition that kings are overlords that are given such respect and it helped to improve the relationship between the two men.

Respect for a man is usually borne out of the love the woman feels for him as her husband, and most women are endoured with the capacity to show love by their innate maternal instinct of protection, nurturing and nest building which are the qualities of any female. Biologically this feeling is said to be mediated through estrogens and some hormonce calld oxytocin that is relassed during lovemaking and breast feeding though a lot psychological and cultural influences play roles in this.

Some men have tended to be egoistic in relationships and misunderstand a woman so called serving role and display unnecessary aggression, fueled by their personality difficulties and socciocultural and religous sitauations . Even in most white families, the wife still cooks and keeps the home and children clean and tidy because it is a natural instinct that women have to keep a healthy safe nest , which is further reinforced by upbringing. Men have difficulties controlling their egoisim and aggressiveness but most of them have been able to show protectiveness to their families and thus able to express love to everyone.

For me I do not think men should take advantage of the fair sex, her maternal nurturing instinct and demean women because this instinct can easily turn to aggression and a loss for him. Equal partnership attitude is the best approach while we both recognise our roles and offer help in an overlapping maner to eahc other as required. So when faced with this cultural ceremony of feeding husband in public women please allay your anxiety do it with love as part of the show and remember that your husband's familes have done their submission prostrating before your family and just enjoy the fun of the day.

However if your husband continues to demand this act of kneeling and feeding him all the time after marriage not occasionl when he is in play mode, do not comply. He is only trying to humiliae you.
SportsRe: Fifa Give Nigeria 48 Hours Ultimatum To Reverse Ban. by Solozzo(m): 7:01pm On Jul 02, 2010
I am amazed at the decision to ban SE from international competition for two years in ourder to put house in order. How do you improve an underachieving team if you deprive it of oppotunities to practice with international teams. President GJ 's decision was not baed on sound reasoning and he should rescind the decision. FIFA 's threat is in order and it shows concerns of the organisation. Banning competition at international level also contravenes FIFA's rules. We should be planning on how to use the 8million US dollars we got from FIFA to improve our game by sponsoring more internaitonal competition and training rather than taking a decision based on an emotional knee jerk reaction of a non-thinking president. What has the president got to do with football skills building anyway?
SportsRe: Sani Kaita Apologizes by Solozzo(m): 11:52am On Jun 20, 2010
Well I think we should forgive him. A team should be able to take the mistake of one as a problem of all. We lost the match not only because of SANI 's error - afterall Australia was one man down and were albe to draw with Ghana. We were ill prepared for every match and we need to lift our game or come back to start preparing for the next four years. Sani showed his embarrassment at the terrible eror and had the courage to apologise. A French player refused to apologise for his misdemeanour recently
PoliticsRe: Sustainable Electricity/power by Solozzo(m): 12:03pm On Jun 13, 2010
Firstly we need to elect a president who is serious about energy generation and a Light Up Nigeria programme[. S/He needs to be passionate about this programme and work intensely towards its success, not see it as a means to wealth for himself or his friends. Look at the success of the mobile phone industry in higeria. Huge sucess

Electrcity generation and transmission should be fully privatised with govt buying shares and providing poicy and guidance only. The programme should be handled by foreign firms with decentralisation even multiple compaines in various zones of the country. Supply freepay as you go electricity meters using secure cards like the mobile phone scratch cards.

Mulitple generating avenues such as hydroelectric power, fossil fuel, garbage fuel. Money is no problem , loans can be added to what we have already. The gains generated from a well organised programme will pay off all loans in the next ten to twenty years.

Use the USA or South Africa as a model to follow for electricity issue; South Africa preferably as I am aware they use the Pay as you Go meters
PoliticsRe: I Want Abiola Immortalised, Says Babangida by Solozzo(m): 11:29am On Jun 13, 2010
IBB needs to convey a conference where he truly acknowlegdes his guilt in annulling JUNE 12 ELections and the real easons behind it, which I believe was greed for power on his part or rewarding his evil friend Abacha - partner in crime. He should also forget the presidency because he cannot no longer participate in govt after plunging Nigeria into the dark. We are still feeling the pain of his evil deeds today. Talking about immortalising Abiola is medicine after murder. IBB is responsible tor the death of MKO Abiola, so he cannot therefore talk like an innocent outsider. Nigerians are not fools and never had been so.

PoliticsRe: Bukhari Bello Is New INEC Boss by Solozzo(m): 5:48pm On Jun 03, 2010
I hope Bukhari Bello would be able to deliver justice at the elections because he had worked in Human Rights before, and obviously knows the value of credible elections. But we all know that it is the presidency that determines whether elections would be credible or not in Nigeria. If Jonathan is serious with credible election outcome this can be done. If as draconian as Babangida was, he was able to organise the most credible and best elections of June 12, there is no reason to believe that any govt in Nigeria cannot deliver credible elections if the president and the governors wish it so.

The trouble is every leader wishes to en mass more wealth in the next term or cover up their fraud and crimes by en curaging rigging of elections to put in place someone who would ensure he or she is protected in the future. If Nigerians are given the opportunity to elect their choices we would have in time weeded out the corrupt and inept leaders and parties from our leadership but this had been denied us because of corrupt leadership, not the electoral commissions who only do the bidding of the president in Nigeria

PoliticsRe: Divide Nigeria In Two, Says Muammar Gaddafi by Solozzo(m): 2:16pm On Mar 18, 2010
Qaddafi is always known for impulsive speeches and desperate utterances. Splitting Nigeria along religious and ethnic lines look superficially attractive but if you closely look at the issues you see that corruption is one main problem that has cut across all the states and regions and i don't t see how any division of the country would solve the problem. Violent crisis in the country had generally been local and ethnic or religious conflicts. MEND's fight for development of Niger- Delta region is going on because of the corruption of the state governors and officials of Bayelsa and Rivers State who had taken up defrauding and looting state funds as a way of getting rich. A state with billions of naira as budgetary allocations cannot provide basic infrastructural facilities for the citizens and we blame federation for this. On top of this dividing the country would lead to civil war and international wars between the groups. The most important solution to most of our problems is to deal with corruption and a change of heart of our leaders to serve the people and be good shepherds. Division of the country to 36- 100 countries would not help in any way.

4Tune01,

No wahala. Yar'Adua is in his last days and too sick to be challenging the current political structures. We pray for God to see him through this terrible phase of his life, grant the family the fortitude to bear this difficult times , Amen!!!
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by Solozzo(m): 1:30am On Feb 26, 2010
There is nothing to fear. Yar'Adua has a right to return to his country. Well he is here and getting care for his terminal illness. If he wishes to displace Jonathan he has to tender a certificate from five doctors that his fit to do so. May God see him through this terrible phase of his life

Latest reports indicate that yar'adua is very ill and cannot even talk, eat cannot live without life support gadgets and constant medical attention. The issue of him being capable of ruling the country is ruled out completely. But his return may pose a problem with the terms of Jonathan 's presidency. However this can easily be dealt with by , See Moreallowing Jonathan to remain in power until there is an official statement about his health from his Representatives. If any group of persons challenge Jonathan's stay as acting president, they would need to show that Yar'Adua is fit and capable person to rule the country. Yar'Adua has returned to spend his last days in his fatherland.
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by Solozzo(m): 6:03pm On Feb 24, 2010
The terms of Jonathan's acting presidency were flawed No thanks to the senate who assumed that Yar'adua can only come back from SA in a healthy state. Now he has to explain his whereabouts to Nigeria and obtain a certificate of fitness to rule Nigeria. The current FEC should move fast and declare him unfit but I think Jonathan may lack the guts to challenge his boss. We would be back to the same cycle of a sick president in power and nothing going on except corruption and looting of the treasury. Somebody got to stop this from happening I hope the Senate would be up to their tasks.
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by Solozzo(m): 5:45pm On Feb 24, 2010
He is kind of trying to use the loophole in the terms of Jonathan's acting presidency to displace him off - the terms simly said if he returns to the country in what ever state Jonathan 's presidency ceases. However the FEC could react by making him undergo a medical check and report if they can smartly declare him unfit to rule.
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by Solozzo(m): 5:35pm On Feb 24, 2010
It is amazing the secret ways of Yar 'Adua. He had sneaked into the country at night, hoping to shock everyone and confuse the country because the terms of Jonathan political position says on the return of Yar' Adua Jonathan ceases to be acting  president whether Yar'adua is in office or not , whether Yar'adua is physically fit or not. Technically Jonathan is off the seat of power now; and he has no legal acting presidential powers if it is confirmed that yar adua is actually back in the country. Another flaw in the senate's drafting of the terms of acting presidency of jonathan. A female senator had asked that the prayers for the motions to make Jonathan acting president should be modified to say if Yar'adua is assessed fit to be in office then only then should Jonathan cease to be acting president but this pont was turned down on the  basis that it would be begging the issues. Here we are faced with the situation now. Yar'adua may not sit in office but his coming back to nigeria terminates Jonathan's acting presidency and I am anticipating a lot of legal battles again and pissibly a military coup in nigeria. Just you watch

Well let's see the next drama. Some people just want to cause trouble in the country and whether it is yardua himself,  his wife or other people who are using him as a tool for their selfish ends, this stupid game need to stop. Someone need to put a stop to it.
