I'll seriously like to learn a thing or two from you. Pressing I know is a defensive tactic, please correct me if I'm off the mark, and please do it with hard facts. |

Then sorry sir, you still can't comprehend what pressing means. When you constantly put defenders to work to the point of committing fouls against you, that's what it means to press. And yes foul stats against you is the best way to rate that coupled with attempts at goal, numbers of take ons etc SerVik: No offense but do you even know what it means to press? Seems you're arguing with a wrong notion.
How can you use foul stats to prove that one presses? How do you draw fouls when you are not even with the ball? |

Ok brother, we just have to make use of what we have now. We have time to bring in backup for sensitive positions for now. Salisu isn't a bad coach though, what he if suggested players but never looked into? I just need a backup or confirmed leg for LB incase Elderson become worse off. Aina and one more leg needed. As for mikel position, it's very needed o. Thank God I'm not the only one worried about the lack of a true replacement in the current squad. One more thing, what if Enyeama doesn't improve or get to play regularly? What happens to our GK postition? Yes Akpeyi as 1st choice or promote Uzohor to first choice? Ezenwa is a no-no when it comes to first choice. Is that plateau United gk worse than what we have currently? Humility017: to be honest that salisu yusuf eehh...I doubt if he makes any input at all....
that man is like a round peg in a square hole prior his appointment he did nothing spectacular in the npfl...
someone who knows his onions as a coach and have been watching super eagles play for a while now....will not rule out Joel obi... your fear about mikel...I also hold...
and for the LB position...be as it may I will still prefer aina to elderson...he has the pace and he can as well make good crosses and join the attack....Alderson can be messed up by any intelligent winger...saw his play against Cameroon... I am not sold on him...
the hitherto options for the LB slot... are still evolving...nura in as Roma and amuzie playing in the Swiss league now...
though I would have wanted deji...he is still very small...as for me I won't mind invite him as cover up....he is good in free kicks and nearly passes moreover he can also play as a DM.
let's see how idowu integrate into the team...he is a LB. |

Why not just read first? We have bible on the internet incase you don't have one at home. Read first, then form your opinion from what the full chapters said and not just be quoting malachi 3:10. (BTW there are main bible chapters that highlighted tithe, types, who to pay, when to pay and what to be paid. There are others showing that tithe isn't meant for Christians but read the ones I gave you first. mikejj: have you ever wondered why after all the whole bible the last chapter talks about tithing?have thought of that.you said they stop paying tithe when the temple was destroyed.which priests was God refering to here sir? |

So we still have issues covering the LB position...(natural LB). I thought Idowu was a LCD? Is he fast enough for the LB position? I wish Aina was naturally left legged, using a makeshift RB and LB has many disavantages when you face demonic forwards who can turn and twist life out of you. I'm just afraid of life without Mikel in the worldcup proper incase he picks up an injury, who replaces him? Iwobi can't do that job, he can't hold balls for long. I wish I can also talk to Rohr, Joel Obi is needed badly. Humility017: right now...we have 3 RB....shehu,ebuehi and aina and for LB...we have just idowu. and iwobi playing AM....that one is left to rohr who still keep fielding etebo there...
I wish I can talk to him..... |

Malachi 3;8-11 wasn't directed at you, it was directed at the priests which you are not. Read Malachi chapter 1, 2 and 3 to get the complete message if truly you want knowledge. Paul said " study yourself approve", please do this studying, that's how you know the truth. Lastly, Christians aren't expected to pay tithe, Jesus didn't, nor did any of the disciples/early Christians. Be a Christian and not a judist (they have also stopped paying tithe after the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem). mikejj: malachi 3 vs 8-11 answers you bro.give to cesar what belongs to cesar and God what belongs to God.tithe belongs to God. |

Very simple, can you post stats here to support your notion? Stats like "fouls drawn" by both of them. That should settle this. BTW, why only Nigeria vs Algeria match or is that the only match we have played? SerVik: He is right, Iheanacho presses more then Ighalo. Watch the Nigeria vs Algeria in uyo. Matter of fact, Ighalo plays like he is trying to conserve energy for the kill.
In the match thegoodjoe referenced, Iheanacho wasn't on the pitch when Mikel was doing the pressing.
Ighalo is my choice to lead the attack but if we are playing a team with ball playing defenders that like to build from defence, then we'll need a workaholic midfielder like etebo to do the pressing which may leave us disadvantaged when it comes to creativity.
It would be in everybody's interest if Ighalo adds that to his play. |

Well I haven't seen that yet until Tuesday and subsequent matches for the SE. He's still young and has enough time to prove himself SE wise. Icon79: Bros, Aina gives me a lot more confidence playing that position than Elderson. And this is not to diminish everything Chiejiele has done in the national team, but Aina is definitely an upgrade on him.

I was expecting you to tell us where and when Iheanacho pressed defenders, you're drifting to Ighalo. So it was Mikel pushing the defenders backwards and no longer Iheanacho? Okay, kontinu TheGoodJoe: In the last game Ighalo played for Nigeria, Mikel Obi had to carry most of the loads to do the pressing. Ighalo could not meet up. When Mikel is pressing for you, you have a problem.
It is not even up for debate. When it comes to pressing, Nacho rules for the Super Eagles. |

But my comment didn't say you did or you read wrongly? And no, he wasn't head and shoulders above Elderson two days ago, not passing any judgement yet until he plays full time on a decent pitch. Calling this performance head and shoulders above Elderson is an insult to all the years Elderson gave the NT bar recent form. Icon79: Omo, did you hear me anywhere said that he Aina was fantastic? Please read again, I called him "a decent LB." No, he wasn't fantastic but, based on what I saw yesterday, he was head and shoulders above Echiejile, both offensively and defensively. And you gotta consider that this is his real debut .... I wouldn't count the previous two cameo appearances.

Please remind me, which Nigerian game was that and what was the outcome? Iheanacho best in pressing as a lone striker than ighalo? Please remind me again, when you say "pressing", you are referring to pushing back defenders right? How can Iheanacho be our best forward when it comes to pushing back defenders? This is a joke right? If not, mind telling us which game he played and pressed he defenders into committing series of fouls on him? TheGoodJoe: Proven how. Nacho has had good games playing as a lone striker. So I wonder where this proven is coming from. He is a forward and can play multiple roles, depending on where the coach wants to use him due to strategy and tactics.
A big part of the Argentine game is building from the back. Iheanacho is our best when it comes to pressing and we will need him to keep the Argentine defenders under pressure to restrict their build-up plays from the back.
I remember yesterday how Nacho pressed the keeper and he was forced to kick the ball to the throwing. Nacho is our best in this and I see him getting a nod in the next game to lead the attack. |

We are not looking for starters, rather a good bench, we have the starters already (Mikel, Onazi and ndidi). Agu is mostly brought in for Mikel which to me isn't creative. Mikel should be for Joe Obi, Onazi for Ogu. But Joe Obi, Mikel and Ndidi/Onazi can start together anytime any day PDPGuy: But the worry is that if both Mikel and Ogu start at the same time, the midfield will be to slow and could be overrun by the opposition midfield that has lots of pace. |

Ogu actually do not have issues with precision and accuracy. Just that he doesn't get to take much of it based on where he's mostly played (when he was constant in the SE). realpoacher: In all the comments and criticism so far, I expected someone to notice or mention a positive from our play which we've lacked so far all through the qualifiers.
Precise and deadly long range shot.
Prior to this match, all goals we have scored came from inside the box, non from long range outside. I have always knew that Ogu had those shots packed in his left foot and he has never been scared to take them but the problem has always been precision and accuracy, which he produced today.
Mehn that goal was a beautiful long range curler . It had the power, shot, curl and above all beauty deserving of a long Ranger. Immediately it left his foot, many fans including "yours truly" in my viewing center were already up screaming Goal, Goal, Goaaal with our hands up even before the ball entered the net.
Ogu apart from the two fouls he committed kept things simple and easy in the middle, passing and movement was top-notch! Agreed he is slow but midfielders don't need speed. Zidane, Pirlo, Keane, Rakitic, modric, Wilshire, Yaya toure, heck! Even Mikel is fuccking slow.
Besides Onazi, Ndidi, I will love to Rohr to play Ogu at the world Cup. Onazi, Ndidi and Ogu can and are not scared to shoot from outside the box but it seems that Ogu have more precision than the other two.
For the goal and coupled with his play, I will rate him 8.5. Goals determine results therefore for his effort, he deserves it
Long Rangers sometimes determine the outcome of a game, it's always good to have such spare options handy |

He's yet to understand PLAYING with his defence partner. With time he should. Gave too much work to Balogun. TheGoodJoe: Ola Aina showed comfort going forward. Showed tactical depth in his play but his tracking back was faulty. Apart from that, I was okay with his play.
The gaps were too much and it took a lot of work from Balogun to keep it unnoticeable.
Like to see him play on a better pitch to judge his stamina running up and down the flanks. |

Aina wasn't fantastic yesterday, he was just average bro, he needs to do more if he wants to send Ederson permanently to the bench. Can't really say he did badly cos the pitch surface made a mess for some of them. Icon79: Yea, the biggest discovery today is that we now have a decent LB. I will scream blue murder if Echiejile ever starts ahead of Aina again. I think the team is gradually getting set. We still need a true top striker along with another playmaker besides Mikel.

A house divided against itselt can't stand. Christianity is not about "one's belief, it's about what makes Christianity Christianity, not "yours" and "mine". If the Christians of then didn't practise this 'tithe' of a thing even under serious threats from the govts and outside world, why are the people not even qualifed to be a levite practising Judaism which the Jews have abandoned? Maybe you don't know the meaning of forcing. When members are given tithe cards, it's to segregate those not paying. When those paying are made to stand up every Sunday just to make them feel good and make those not paying look like thieves. When those paying are given more relevance than those not paying. When curses are used to threaten those not paying. When promises of blessings are used to entice those paying. These are called systematic threats/enticement which can be tagged as direct or indirect force. emerged01: I still don't get the point of arguement all these days. All the churches I have been to,no one forces members to pay tithe,it is at your own will. To say the fact,80% of members of churches don't pay tithe,if 40% happens to be tithers,I believe half of the 40% are not regular tithers. So all these people against tithe are the 80% who dont pay tithe. |
