I believe the reason why that of the Nigerian seller is 2x of Aliexpress price is because they already added shipping cost and their usual exorbitant profit.

Most of what we buy here are actually cheap if you know how to import them yourself.

Another reason could be that the Nigerian seller got the product from countries like the US (Products from the US are more expensive than that of the Chinese even though most of these products are being manufactured in China, but assembled/packaged in the US).

Your money is safe on Alibaba. Just make sure you buy from verified seller and always let them send you trade assurance before making payment.
The money isn't released to the seller until after certain period.
