I think he did have a contract, which was silly - A pal of Grant in Israel revealed: "Avram said he doesn't trust them any more. Why give him a new contract in the first place? Meanwhile if he does not want the compensation, I can always send my bank account To hell with Chelsea ![]() |
Look at this comment I found on the news above - To chelsea fans Drobga is the main reason behind your success not JT or Lampard. On his own he carried last year and this year the whole chelsea team to the brink of glory. While he was in african cup duties Chelsea was far behind Man U and what he did aginst arsenal and Manchester U at the bridge. Remember how chelsea got to the CL final in first place by destroying Benitez. Drobga is blamed for being honest telling people that sacking Mourinho was dump thing to do. JT, Schevchenco, Ballack and Lamp are earning more than Drogba but he is working twice harder than then by playing on his own in attack while he could been paired with Anelka by dropping either Lamp or ballack. Face reality check do not hide behind half truth to please grant and JT.I wish we have more fans as clear sighted as this guy; instead what I hear is Drogba should be out, Drobga should go. Are we really different from Roman? |
Remember what I said about his training techniques? Look at this Before the players reported for their first day of training under Mourinho, they had been supplied with individual dossiers detailing their dietary regime, pre-season schedule and a DVD breakdown of their game.http://blogs.notw.co.uk/sport/2008/05/avram-sacked.html |
I feel hard pressed to call this backstabber names. He did not know Chelsea was ruthless when he was behind the sacking of JM? He promised us attractive footie and failed. To top that up we have lost two finals, lost out on the FA cup as a result of a Cardiff defeat and lost out to ManU in the EPL thanks to useless draws. There is something wrong with this man. Anyway it was Roman that made the silly mistake in the first place by sacking JM and then hiring this unfit person. He should quit his silly media games. He was a terrible manager and we had a terrible season by wining NOTHING AT ALL! I've always disliked this guy. He does not deserve a penny. |
I guess we have to wait to see who the new boss will be. Robben was sold for £24m? Reeally? I will hate to see Lampard or Drobga leave. I don't think Ballack can totally play the Lampard role and give us the goals. However it may be good to cash in on Drogba now before he gets too old. Lets see how it goes. Most things depend on the club and the new manager. |
akinalabi:You're not interested in a man that gave you a 12 points gap to win the league with record breaking 95 points but you became intersted in a man that was 2 points behind as you won the league with a dismal 87 points. ![]() Should I call you biased now or later? ![]() |
Nateevs, Grant's sacking shows intent and certain kind of class. I think his appointment was interim save for the questionable extension of contract. It is a good sign for Chelsea. I was thinking of Robinho's speculation. Save for the price, I think it would be a good signing if it works out. Robinho can play behind Drogba and give you that sort of midfield you so often speak about. So we can a 4-1-3-1-1 formation. Playing wingers in but at the same time bringing flair and neat passes into the midfield. Let me show you what I'm talking about Cech Bosingwa RC JT Cole Maka/Essien/Obi New winger Lampard/Ballack New winger Robihno Drogba This looks pretty good on paper. Robihno will be somewhat like what Tevez is to ManU. Bring back Jose and two new wingers and we're in for business. Quaresma, joaquin, silva and Ribery can play the wing roles. What do you think? |
akinalabi:Perhaps this may be the reason - somze: ![]() |
Grant was simply not good enough for Chelsea. For a start the guy couldn't even handle the press. His training schedule was crude and disliked by the players. I remember a number of them complaining about this in his first few weeks. I hear he then let Clarke do the training according to a Jose style. Our tactics, formation and Team picking was woeful to say the least. We never harnessed the power of Anelka and Drogba's partnership. They never even trained together. We lost games we should have won and dropped points where it was unnecessary. Imagine a 4-4 draw with Villa and Spurs! That was unheard of at the bridge during JM's era. When we had to win wigan he was afraid to start with a full squad and we also dropped points. We had the chance to win a lot this season and we have won nothing. Sacking JM was the mistake Roman made. We need consistency in management. When you find a manager as great as Jose, you keep him for ten years no matter what. SAF and Wenger took a while to start wining things and one of them is still taking a while to resume but you see, the club has not put them under pressure. They're still managers in full capacity. You dont hear speculations about their jobs in the press. The reason why these guys are mourning about what has nothing to do with them is they know whoever comes next will be more competitive and much better. It's that simple. Trouble for ManU and Arsenal. Anyway, I am in a state of ecstasy. Come back Jose . . . ![]() |
Look at voyeurs and scums taking panadol extra for our headache . . . crazy aint it? ![]() Grant's sacking is the best thing that has happened to Chelsea's management in four years. True supporters will feel excited about the decision. Now we can compete on the big stage and actually win Come back Jose . . . ![]() |
I-man Can you just be man enough to drop a senseless argument? @all Beautiful News, I tried sending post through my phone but . . . oh well Got to rush for a movie, The best thing that could happen is a JM come-back. That would be super. Good bye Grant, I'm happy you're gone. |

Nateevs, Disrespect? Where? While you have asked for links, you have not shown any yourself. ![]() Anyway 1. Crespo Season before Chelsea - 30 appearances, 16 goals Chelsea - 29 appearances, 12 goals Ac Milan - 38 appearances, 16 goals Chelsea - 35 appearances, 12 goals Inter Milan - 35 appearances 15 goals Inter Milan 22 appearances 5 goals http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hern%C3%A1n_Crespo These facts do not support your argument. 2. Shevy Show me a link that says he was not a pacy player and I'll show you one for his fitness. 3. Mutu You can not prove he was not on drug in his first season. Please supply such proof. Mutu was also injured for a while in Chelsea so that too can account for his lack of goals. Meanwhile he played under Ranieri. Are you saying Ranieri's style was same with JM's? This holds no water too unless you care to prove any of the above facts ![]() 4. Kezman, Let me hit google and get back to you on that one ![]() |
Nateevs, Your argument holds no water ![]() Crespo Argument - Contrary to your argument evidence suggests that he was in fact better in Chelsea than in his future clubs or even his immediate past season before joining. Anelka's Argument - Evidence suggest Anelka never made it in big clubs except Arsenal when he was VERY VERY young ![]() Mutu's argument - He was on drugs and that affected his game in Chelsea, he also had an abmissal performance in another big club - Juventus. He seems to be doing well in Fiorentina. who else is left? ![]() Dude your argument is empty. Shevy did not fit the English game. He had lost his fitness and speed. Go an watch all the matches he has played for Chelsea and tell me if he runs faster than *** ![]() |

I think Cresspo scored about 12 goals or so each season he played . . . that's about 20 goals for Chelsea ![]() Shevy had a bad season BEFORE Chelsea and had lost his fitness and speed. Mutu IS NOT and I repeat IS NOT on drugs anymore. After his ban he got 9 goals in 42 games for Juventus. Anelka scored as a bolton player. This is the big stage. How many goals did he score for liverpool? 4 goals in 20 games. That pretty much sums up by argument. He aint a big stage player no more. You argument is falling flatter and flatter on it's face. |
Nateevs, seems like you're trying too hard to prove your points cresspo and shevy were below their best in form before joining chelsea. mutu was on drugs. Anelka had failed in other top epl teams before his comeback with bolton that leaves out just kezman. your evidence lacks solidity meanwhile which midfielder plays this role in ManU? |
Nateevs, You must have heard about Nasri by now, I can recall either you or Ibime had wanted the guy. |
£28million for Robinho? Is Kenyon high? The money for Bosingwa was already too much; this is pure lunacy! I agree with Ibime, The problem is not the midfield, it's the wingers. Our wingers were not just in the game and I've started considering Joe Cole's position. I think we should put our wingers on the transfer list. Lets get Riberi and Quaresma. Hopefully we have solved the defensive problem on the right so all we need are wingers and strikers. I want something close to a total overhauling in those positions. Again Imagine if JM had £16m and now £28m to spend on the solid squad we had then. We would have had Alves by now. |
Ibime Do not bother about liars that are banned constantly from the forum but still are unable get the obvious message. I agree with you concerning Grant. He has done well but I'm not convinced we can go far with him. For a smaller club his achievements are a huge feat but not for Chelsea. He has lost 3 out of 3 finals (and even the FA cup where we were the only big team left). I dont want to sound mean but I wont be missing him if he leaves. We need charisma and tactical genius. I saw Rikkyjen's comment about JM and couldn't agree more. I thought it was spot on. I will continue to say we lost that game because of Terry. The difficult part of a penalty is to beat the keeper, but it seems getting your shots on target in a final too is even more difficult. His game was superb but the penalty miss was unbelievable and that in itself costs us the game. Anelka - I dont think too much of him. My player of the day is none other than Ashley Cole. I think he should have been the player of the season. He is back to his best and is the most improved player in our team. Drogba was reckless. Other top players like I've mentioned earlier have made this mistake too. It was not a real slap but rules are rules. He is being victimized by the media simply because he is black. ManU respected him enough to put 2 or 3 men on him whenever he got the ball, I think that says it all. He had no clear chance and was able to hit the bar. I will miss him at Chelsea. Lampard - Though he started on a lesser note, he quickly came to life after we conceded. Lampard should stay. He had a beautiful game and scored. Makalele - His ratings were not too good on some sights but I was impressed with his displays, dribbles and passes. He took off the pressure from the defence and sometimes nipped the monster in its bud. Some other times, his old age came telling. Still I think we could use him next season. He's a great player. We need wingers and both of them - left and right. Except when Kalou came in, I was dissatisfied with the job of Cole and Malouda on the attack. We really have to get wingers for next season. I was hoping Shevy would play a part at some point in the game but it's over already. |
Ibime Rooney and Tevez were not in the game, Terry held on to rooney while Ashley Cole was outstanding. Ronaldo was too afraid to venture towards the left corner. Tevez was a man on the moon too. Drogba was playing as a lone striker and had at least 2 men on him anytime he got close to the ball, besides Vidic was terrific and did what defenders ought to do. It is not a slight on Drogba. Any, and I repeat ,any striker would have the same issues in the situation. Yes I am disappointed with Drogba's stupidity. It was a slight touch on vidic's face but rules are rules and for a professional to do that at a final is beyond comprehension. However we have seen top players sent-off for reckless behaviors too - Zidane, Beckham, Zola etc to mention but a few. It happens. We did not lose the game because of Drogba red card (this is debatable though). We lost because of Terry (who was otherwise superb through the game). I used to think the difficult part of taking penalties was beating the keeper, but apparently it is keeping the ball on target. I may be sounding mean but I dont understand how he missed the clear God-given chance to glory. Now again, is Fergie allowed to talk to Refs at half time? How come no one is talking about that? The calls at 2nd half was crazy and Rio was lucky to escape blatant penalty decisions especially his drop kick on Joe Cole with his high foot. In the end history will remember only one thing - We failed to win. Sad, sad day for football. |

We will talk on the pitch . . . ![]() |
RampantT What did you do this time? ![]() @topic That's not you |
Ibime, Which Mancini are you talking about? The one of Inter? They must be freaking kidding me . . . |
Kituan, Sharrap dia Nateevs, I think both teams may want to start the game cautiously. We need to stop the advances of Ronaldo, Roonie and tired Tevez. Evra and Scholes are a handful too. The way we play and being able to net the first goal will determine whether we will a cautious approach or an exciting encounter. It's nice to have a full squad and the right mentality. We can do this. Obama - Yes We Can!!! ![]() |
