I'm part of the Switching Team (O&M) of a GSM firm.

The Equipments I manage are all Ericsson based, though a new Tekelek Signalling Equipment (an STP) has been installed. The firm has Hauwei and Motorolla equipments too among others but that is not currently in my league.

Anyway I will be glad to learn more about Ericsson based MSCs, BSCs, HLRs, TSCs, RBSs and stuff.

At present we don't have a community where technical staff of phone companies (GSM, CDMA, landlines etc ) can share knowledge and pass information. This thread is intended for such purpose.

Basically Technical Staff of phone companies can ask questions, share DTs (Data Transcripts), share scripts and applications, explain processes, job orders etc here.

This is real sad!

You know, I was not too impressed with Sulejmani.

Like I stated earlier, he does not possess the speed we need from a winger and he can not dribble. However he can score goals. Where he scores from does not really matter. Also he should be relatively inexpensive.

Arfa on the other hand has a lot of trickery in his possession and can dribble but I'm not sure of his speed. Also he's not a good scorer as his stats can tell. We need a combination of speed, skills and accuracy in front of goal.

The problem I have with Quaresma is the fact that he's failed in a big club before - Barca. One would think that a player of his kind with the skills and all will actually excel at such a club. Yes he had issues with Rijkaard but I don't accept that as a good enough excuse.

Players leaving? Well take your pick - SWP, Malouda, Kalou, Pizarro, Shevy, Sidwell, Belleti, Ferreira (I wish), Drogba (wants to leave), Lampard (wants new contract), Ballack (Undecided).

It is possible that at least four of five players would leave the club at the end of the season.

Sulejmani and Arfa play the same wing. Arfa has more trickery and skill but Sulejmani is a far better scorer, plus Sulejmani will come at a lesser price and is younger - 19 years old.

Sulejmani is more of a winger and can play forward as a striker, Arfa can also play from the midfield proper. I don't know who has more speed though.

Karim Benzeama
Center Forward/Striker and can play both wings.Strong on his feet so can play in EPL. Highest paid in Ligue1, so may come at a price. Contract runs till 2013. Age = 20. Can Score goals. Can Dribble too when needed.

Samir Nasri
Attacking midfielder, Does not score too many goals. 20 years of age. A Joe Cole type of player but a bit faster. Very skillful and can dribble well. Stays on his feet.

David Villa
Striker 26 years of age, Good scorer,with good accuracy

Ricardo Quaresma
24 years, Right Winger

Hartem Ben Arfa
Left winger, 21 years of age

I'm also looking at Frank Ribery, David Silva and possibly Joaquin.

Bhoularouz was crap, even Ferreira was better than him. That in incontrovertible.

SWP started to regain form during JM NOT after DURING. How confident is he now? OBi and SWP have been relegated to the bench. Sidwell played more under JM.

Ibime saying a manager has reached an end of cycle is very shallow. Even Wenger can win the league next season. Every top manager has had their trophyless seasons. JM has not had that and there is NO evidence that suggest we would have been in a worse position if JM was around.

Please do a print out of our postion at the league table when he left with respect to Man Utd and Arsenal.

Your other points are based on sentimental assumption and I can not argue around that.

How can it make us lose the league? We are unbeaten in 2008 and he has only lost away to Arsenal and Man Utd, results which we have since reversed. If anything, Jose made us lose the league. As Bluehorizo pointed out, our record under Grant looks like this:

Grant has had his full squad for a long while now. Did Jose ever have a full squad? Cant remember.

When we lost the league last season, not only did we have numerous injuries but we had no substitutes thanks to Roman and Jose's fall out.

Grant has too numerous fringe players to mention.

During JM's era we lost two of our keepers for a couple of weeks, we lost two of our central defenders for a couple of months, we lost our left backs, our center forward, defensive midfield, wingers, midfield etc to mention but a few. ALL these cases had NO substitutes.

JM was able to get some cheap backup players this season (again he could only get these ones because he was disallowed funds).

Now if Drogba is out we have - Pizarro, Anelka (who took Drogba's place during the ACN), Shevshenko
Joe Cole - SWP
Malouda - Kalou
Terry and Carvalho - Ben Haim and Alex
Belleti - Ferreira
etc . . .

Grant has been lucky so far playing simple teams in the FA cup, Carling Cup and even in the Champions League. Only Man Utd has had better luck than we have in the CL.

JM played teams like Barca, Bayern and Liverpool in one competition. The strongest opposition we have had in this one has been Liverpool.

I am not trying to tear Grant down, but compared to JM, he still has mountain of achievements to climb.
