What is a soul?

A soul is infinite energy which was originally a part of God or source energy as I like to call it. God is the universal consciousness that embodies all things that exist, all things that have existed and all things that will exist. God isn't a being with emotions like jealousy or anger, or sense organs like eyes and ears, or a being that wants to be worshipped. Every soul, whether good or bad, is an expression of God.

At the point of separation from God(source energy), the soul exists as an individual entity, with the free will to explore multiple existences in order to learn and evolve and at the end, return to the source from whence it came from.

Because the soul is immaterial, it begins it's existence by taking on physical forms. When this physical body dies, at the point of death the soul leaves this body and enters into a new body to continue its evolution. This is called reincarnation. Every soul has the ability to choose where next to reincarnate that would help further its evolution. This is the natural state of the universe.

Since a soul is energy, it can not be destroyed. You can destroy the physical body that it resides in but you cannot destroy the soul itself. The only way around this, is to keep the soul in a state of ignorance and unawareness, that way you can manipulate and control it.
