By and large, we do not know who wrote the New Testament, but we do know that the books that now form the New Testament were all written by the middle of the second century. We know that the apostle Paul wrote the epistles now known as Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Philemon, Galatians, Philippians and 1 Thessalonians. Other epistles attributed to him but rejected by most New Testament scholars as inauthentic are: 2 Thessalonians, Ephesians, Colossians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus. Also at one stage, Hebrews was attributed to Paul but he was so clearly not the author that this attribution is rarely discussed. The four New Testament gospels are attributed to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, but were originally anonymous until attributed to them by he Church Fathers later in the second century. The general epistles are variously attributed to James, Peter, John and Jude, but most scholars dispute at least some of these attributions. The Book of Revelation was disputed even by the Church Fathers but was eventually included in the New Testament because it was signed by someone called John and they feared leaving it out in case the author was actually the apostle John. Modern New Testament scholars simply call the author John of Patmos. |
Ken4Christ:That is what I am saying that you did not get. Jesus is a roman god/creation. He has got nothing to do with the Jews or their God. They happen to be aorshipping the creator of heaven and earth, who is not a man or human being(Numbers 23:19). All your scripture you quoted are from the Christian scriptures. That means it is a Christian ideology. It got nothing to do with the God of the Jews. Who happens to be the creator of heaven and earth. |
gammarays:The Jews will never do that. If they try it, God will punish them, because it is idolatry. Christianity is based on two things that God hates....human sacrifice and idolatry. theu wont even think of it. they know the implication. |
MaxInDHouse:There are more than a billion people keeping the laws of God all round the world. We don't need to be in a cult. We just follow God's laws in any situation we find ourselves and live peacefully within ourself and with those around us....there are millions of us in Nigeria alone. We don't meet or proselytizes. We just do good to our neighbors....and those we come in contact with if they need it...no need to be in an organization. The idea of an organization gives the impression of a political setting with a leader who draws up rules and regulations that must be followed if not they are dis fellowshipped. They also will have to go through some form of initiation in order to join. That's a cult of you ask me. No Max, we don't do those. We just follow God's divine commandments just like he asked. Comprende? |
from Gemini Nachmanides interprets Genesis 1:26 to mean that God created humans with both an earthly body from the dust and a divine spirit, explaining the plural "us" as God's incorporation of the earth's role in man's creation and his own spiritual role. He emphasizes that man's physical form reflects divine attributes and that humanity, created in God's image, possesses free will, a reflection of God's unlimited wisdom and potential. God's Statement "Let Us Make" Nachmanides explains that the plural pronoun "us" in "Let us make" is not an indication of help from others in creation but rather a special proclamation for man due to his unique stature. He suggests that the "us" refers to God and the earth, with the earth providing the physical form of man, similar to how the earth provided for the beasts and animals. Man's Creation in God's Image According to Nachmanides, the phrase "in our image" (בְּצַלְמֵנוּ) signifies that the divine image (tzelam Elohim) incorporates both the spiritual component given by God and the earthly component provided by the earth. He connects this to the physical body of man, stating it is a reflection of the divine attributes (sefirot) found in the spiritual realms, even though God is ultimately incorporeal. Human Potential and Free Will Nachmanides sees the image of God in humanity as the endowment of a divine intellect and the capacity for free choice. He notes that only humans have the ability to grow, change, and make rational decisions, reflecting God's infinite wisdom and free will. |
Gabrielshow24:the number 2 answer there is quite interesting. i am looking at the original meaning as taught be the ancient rabbis..... https://aish.com/let-us-make-man/ |
MaxInDHouse:explain why i need to be part of an organization before i respect my parents? or tell the truth all the time....i don't get it. your so fixated on membership of An organization that a lot of people know is a cult....and your are proud of it. just know the laws and keep it. God promised to write the laws in our heart, there is no where it says we have to belong to a group first. belonging to a group makes it easier for members to be brain washed. you should be allowed to think for yourself. you are not joined to anybody at birth and will still probably die alone.....what do you need membership of an organization for? |
Gabrielshow24:he is only mentioned in Christian religious text. Nobody in history met him or wrote about him. does that not bother you. nobody heard him speak....nobody saw him. he only exist in Christian propaganda...... |
in the conversation that started in verse 24 of chapter 1, God commanded the earth to bring forth living creatures of their kind......but when it got to verse 26, God, still talking to the earth said ''Let US (God and the Earth) create man in OUR IMAGE AFTER OUR LIKENESS. And the provided the dust and with it God made a statue of a man. then God breathed into his nostrils (the same image and likeness as God) man became a living soul or a conscious being. (that is came to life) do you agree with my narrative so far, if not what did you not understand? in your opinion, which do you think brought the statue to life....the dust or the breath. |
MSK 101 Genesis chapter 1 begins by ''In the Beginning''...but before that beginning, the only thing that existed was God(Pure consciousness/Spirit) Do you agree to this fact? if Not give your reason. when Genesis chapter 1 vs 1 started, that is the beginning of creation, everything that Go d created was created within HIMSELF. do you agree? what this means is that heaven and earth are within God, that is the reason we say God is omnipresent(Everywhere). it continues by saying God created the heavenly bodies, that is the moon and sun and stars... after which he commanded the earth to bring forth ....the animals, birds and fishes etc...vegetation and trees after its own kind. i am not particular about the order. within this earth, he selected a spot and created a beautiful garden, beautiful trees and flowers and running stream.......,He called Eden. And everything was beautiful. are we ok so far? |
in this thread, i intend to hold Gabrielshow24 by the hand and walk him through a proper understanding of the genesis story and its proper understanding. from our discussion so far, i reckon he has zero knowledge of God and man, so i guess that's why he has resorted to believe and faith, instead of grasping the knowledge of God as contained in the Tanakh. for the sake of this thread, just forget all the BS you were taught, we are going to teach ourselves and i hope that at the end, we will be the better for it. so lets dive in. |
Gabrielshow24:you are not following at all. Jesus is a creation of the roman empire. i said for the sake of argument, if he existed, he is no different from us. we are all Gods spirit dwelling within a physical body made from dust. we are all Gods spirit experiencing life in multiple as humans. God is everywhere, it is the totality of the consciousness (spirit) of the universe.....we are part of God, God is part of us. we are not a single drop of the ocean, we are the ocean in a single drop...... you really have a lot to learn, first you have to unlearn the BS thats christianity. |
Gabrielshow24:the number of scholars who believe Jesus never existed is growing by the day, you can check out Richard prices blog. the silent of people who ought to know but did not say a single thing about Jesus is alarming....open your eyes bro that's why everything is based on FAITH.....Not knowledge. |
Gabrielshow24:You don't understand anything i have been saying at all. if you did, you would have seen where i defined God. it flew over your head. what is death my ignorant friend/ |
MaxInDHouse:you don't need to be part of an organization or cult to keep Gods laws. i really don't understand your fixation on membership of a brain washing cult? it has got nothing to do with GOD. |
Gabrielshow24:Christianity is just rebranded paganism, nothing more. it was created by emperor Constantine as the national religion of the empire. there is nothing divine about it. |
Gabrielshow24:do you understand anything i typed up there? or you are contented being ignorant. |
Gabrielshow24:you lack basic knowledge....is that what you picked up from what i said? shame... you don't get it..do you? we are Gods spirit living within a physical body made from dust. this is what man is. it is man that is committing crimes against himself and killing each other for lack of knowledge and ignorance. because they are now all clothed with dust, they do not recognize themselves. |
i am Gods spirit experiencing life as sonmvayina max is Gods spirit experiencing life as maximus ken4christ is Gods spirit experiencing life as Kenneth. etc. if Jesus was real, he would have been Gods spirit experiencing life as Jesus. what is the faux? why worship him? is that not idolatry? he died, just as we all will die, when our time is up too. God is the totality of all the spirit(consciousness) in the universe. it is not a man or a human being. we all is the totality of that spirit ( image and likeness) living within a physical body made from dust. that is the miracle if you ask me. Not magically turning water into wine. i think we really need to educate ourselves and end this madness of worshipping a white dude as God and learn the true nature of our selves., |
let us assume for a moment that Jesus actually existed, how is he different from us? God created man as a way for Him to experience his creation. After God has finished creation, he then took dust from the earth molded the statue of a man and then sent his spirit inside the statue and it came to life....it became conscious of its environment. so each of us are Gods spirit experiencing life in multiple ways. when our number is up, we tap out, our body is buried so as to become one with the earth and our spirit returns to God who gave it (Ecclesiastics 12:7) so why the commotion about Jesus? if he was real, how is he different from us? That is what i still don't get and understand what is he saving us from? when the idea of salvation was raised in the Tanakh, it is always from physical danger. please can a well grounded Christian who understands the jargon that is Christianity enlighten me. I am waiting. |
thank Goodness, i left these all behind....i would have been squabbling with people like max, ken and co like school children . thank you my creator for opening my eyes to the idolatry of the Christian religion. now i found peace in following your law. thank you father... |
gammarays:where did you get all these BS from? all this things you claim are not captured in the Tanakh to begin with, so you still don't get it. for you to be '' The Messiah'' you have to be descended from king David, Jesus was not. the gospel stories says he has no father. so Jesus has no ancestor that is connected to David. He failed in that aspect. The messiah will do does things on first try, that is how you know. the fact that Jesus died shows that he is not the messiah. during the time the Christian are saying he lived, there where other claimant to the messiah, they were all killed by Rome. God never said the messiah will be his son, he is a man that is anointed to the service of God, this is the point you keep missing. God can not be anointed to his own service. the anointing is usually with oil kept inside the ark of the covenant, you can keep worshipping your roman god, just know he has nothing to do with the creator of the universe. There is no such thing as ''Anti-Messiah'' or ''second coming''. those are the excuses that the romans are giving for the failure of their messiah to fulfill the requirement. the messiah is not supposed to die.....and then come back. no mention of that anywhere. it is a Christian teaching to keep the lie going. you have been scammed, |
The word 'messiah' is the anglicisation of the Hebrew 'moshiach'. The word moshiach translates to 'anointed'. The title of moshiach was given to any person who was appropriately anointed with oil as part of their initiation to their service of HaShem. We have had many moshiachim (pl) in the form of kings, priests, prophets, and judges. There is absolutely nothing supernatural about a moshiach. This being said, there is a prophecy of a future moshiach, however, this is a relatively minor topic in Judaism and the Tanach. The Jewish requirements of hamoshiach are: * Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28) * Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6) * Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4) * Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: "HaShem will be King over all the world -- on that day, HaShem will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9) * Hamoshiach must be descended on his father's side from King David (Genesis 49:10 and Isaiah 11:1) * Hamoshiach will lead the Jewish people to full Torah observance. The Torah states that all mitzvot remain binding forever, and anyone coming to change the Torah is immediately identified as a false prophet. (Deut. 13:1-4) |
What is God? Or Who is God? People are just fascinated by the concept of God. They don't actually know what God is or is not. Most people here will fail this question. They are just carried away by the idea of God. No real knowledge of God. That's why they are being swayed by "faith". Which is just a fancy word for ignorance. If you believe there is God or you don't believe, you are both right(or maybe wrong) depending on what you are looking at and seeing. I know there is a creator on high. I also know that I am part of it and it/he/she is part of me....anything else is fake. |
MaxInDHouse:I don't believe falsehoods. I share knowledge........that's what I do. |
The book of Daniel was written like 150 -200 years after the facts. That's why the book continues to move back and front. That's why it gets so many things wrong, like this part of the story. We know there was no Darius the mede who was a king. Maybe a regent. The purpose of the story is to teach us to remain calm in the midst of chaos. |
The biggest problem that Christians have is that they always look at Hebrew scriptures with the lens of Christianity. I have said this before, I will say it again. Christianity and Judaism are two different religion. The pagan concept that Christians believe in are absent in Judaism. Look at Hebrew scriptures the way it is meant to be looked at. As for what happened to Enoch, it is obvious he died. God took him is an euphemism for he died. There is no other way, any human is leaving this earth...only death. Earth is a closed system with a firmament above us to keep the waters of heaven from flooding the earth. Enoch died. There is no other way about it. As for Elijah, He too died, but will return to herald the coming of God's Messiah. When God is ready to send his Messiah, he would send Elijah first to clear the way for him. Jesus is not the Messiah God promised. He is the Christian god. He has nothing to do with the Jews and their religion. Thank you. |
I have been calling my pastor friend since afternoon, he is not answering me. Oh God what have I done to myself. The rapture has started. Please, it's no joke. It will continue till tomorrow so they say. Please if I don't see you again.....bye bye sucker pool |
God NEVER asked for animal sacrifice. They included that so that they can get the lumpest meat in the house. God only asked for us to sacrifice our Egos. There was never any order for animal sacrifice Human sacrifice was a complete NO NO. It was an abomination in the sight of God. . |
Lets look at it this way. Did God spirit exist before the creation of man? If the answer is yes theni it means the spirit of man existed before it took flesh in a woman's womb. My reference passage is from Genesis. Most times to answer this kind of question, I usually go to the beginning. Lets look at Genesis 6:3 3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. God is saying "my spirit will not dwell with man forever, he is also flesh. " This means that man is God spirit from God + flesh from the dust of the earth. These two comprise the "US" in Genesis 1:26. The two has to exist before man can exist. Just like Keith, "let us form Voltron......"(Talking to his team members) God too said "let us form man.......(Talking to the earth) |
Does this tactics still work? Do people still believe in hell and heaven in 2025? I have not heard it preached in the two churches disturbing me every Sunday close to my house. The truth is that both dont exist. Well, not as we know it. Secondly, both exist here on earth since earth is where judgement takes place. And God has already passed judgment on man. "From dust you were made and to dust you shall return. ". When your number is up and you tap out, your body would be buried after some ceremonies (isoton), God spirit will return to him. Probably waiting for another experience if it has not fulfilled it's incarnation. The spiritual realm is the real world, the physical world is where you go to choose between heaven and hell. |
