Well according to the Bible the laws came after Moses, Adam, Eve, Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph lived without those laws.
So if some people lived and were God's friends before those laws it simply means those laws can't be permanent, it was brought for a purpose and when that purpose is met it will no longer be needed!
God can't bring in laws in the middle and ask everyone to live by it, it should have been from the beginning if it's as important as you think!
