But he created hell anyway according to Christians.. Just in case... |
Aemmyjah:Man is imperfect by design... God never intended us to be perfect, He expects us to make mistakes, learn from it and grow..... Man is dust, never loose sight of that fact... |

DISPELLING FEAR OF THE “UNFORGIVABLE SIN” One winter day, I received a call from Robert, a Jewish man who had accepted Christianity. He asked if we could meet for lunch and discuss the Jewish perspective of numerous bible passages, which he believed proved that Jesus was the messiah and his “personal savior.” For several hours we carefully examined these passages. I pointed out that they were either mistranslated or read out of context. At the same time, we also explored the Jewish understanding of these passages. Robert was shocked that in several instances they had nothing to do with the Jewish messiah. During subsequent conversations, Robert and I spoke about the spiritual beauty of Judaism and how it is a path to a meaningful life and a personal relationship with God. He agreed that Jewish survival, despite thousands of years of persecution, was miraculous and demonstrates that God did not reject the Jewish people. Robert expressed his desire to return to his Jewish heritage. However, he told me he was terrified because he had been warned that if he ever rejected Jesus, he would be committing an “unforgivable sin” (Mark 3:28) and never get a second chance at salvation. Hearing the fear in his voice, I patiently explained that the idea of an “unforgivable sin” is not a Jewish belief and is not found anywhere in the Jewish Bible. I also pointed out that some Christian theologians reject the idea of an unforgivable sin and consider it a dogmatic misinterpretation of the New Testament. Judaism’s perspective on this crucial issue is validated in this week’s Torah portion, Behaloscha (Numbers 8:1-12:16), which describes individuals who receive a second chance to connect to God. If, for example, they cannot present a Passover offering due to defilement by ritual impurity, God decreed (Numbers 9:6-11) that they could give their offering one month later, on a holiday known as Pesach Sheni—the second Passover. Although God desires that we pursue a life of goodness and holiness, we are not expected to be perfect. If perfection were the only option for humanity, God would not have provided the means to repent and rectify our mistakes. This idea is beautifully stated by the prophet Joel, who stated, “Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate” (Joel 2:13). Giving us a second chance is a beautiful demonstration of God’s compassion and mercy. We see this in the words of King David when he says, “God is full of mercy and forgives sin” (Psalms 78:38). The book of Daniel says God hears our prayers and forgives transgression “Not because of our righteousness, but because of [His] great compassion” (Daniel 9:18). God loves us no matter how severe the transgression, saying, “Return to Me and I will return to you” (Zechariah 1:3). Why would some Christians take such a radical and literal position and promote the idea of an unforgivable sin? Based on Dr. William Sargant’s groundbreaking work, Battle for the Mind, it appears that the “unforgivable sin” argument may be used as a form of brainwashing to frighten and coerce individuals. The intention is that they will not question or deny fundamentalist Christian beliefs. The opposite is true of Judaism, which encourages questioning. This is highlighted on Passover when children are encouraged to ask the Four Questions. Moreover, critical thinking is promoted by King Solomon when he says, “The first to state his case seems right until someone examines him” (Proverbs 18:17). Moreover, those Christians who reject the unforgivable sin point out that the New Testament says, “Examine everything carefully” (I Thessalonians 5:21) and “Test the spirits to see whether they are from God” (I John 4:1). God gives us many gifts, including a mind with which to make thoughtful and meaningful decisions. Although faith plays an essential role in Judaism, it does not exempt us from thinking, as it says, “A wise man will hear and increase in learning” (Proverbs 1:5). Robert’s fears and questions were satisfactorily addressed and he enthusiastically returned to Judaism and the heritage of his ancestors. This Shabbat is a special opportunity for each of us to contemplate God’s compassion and explore and rededicate ourselves to Judaism’s moral and spiritual teachings. |
@correctguy101. My knowledge that the earth is round and not spherical comes from my observation of the natural world. I went to visit my old class mate it Australia in 2016, and through out the flight we never experience any nose dive or curvatures. This can only happen on a flat surface. Secondly I have also wondered how water curves on a sphere. We usually say water level because the seas and ocean are level. And lastly the bible says the earth is round with a firmament above the earth and water above it. ...making the earth a closed system...there earth is surrounded by ice walls and beyond the ice walls there are lands.... No wonder a treaty was signed in 1957 that nobody should go to Antarctica. Because it is not a continent, it is the ice wall.

advocatejare:No historian ... Jesus is a theological/ Christian creation.. |
advocatejare:I know the bible..I don't believe it.. And I know a woman cannot give birth without the input of a man ... Mention two people who actually saw him...there where people who could write in his time...so what did they write about him, even if they don't believe him... |
Jesus has to exist before.... Before we start thinking of a second coming? |
God sustains life.. It is because of his love we are not consumed. |
God is the universe... |
Christianity started in Egypt as the worship of Serapis Christus. It spread to other parts of the Roman empire. The Presbyters at Nicea had a choice between Mithraism and Christianity...They voted to go with Christianity as the national religion of the Roman empire.. They proceeded to draw up the creed for the new religion..called the Nicean creed. Serapis became jesus at the council of Ephasius in around 430AD.. The rest is now history |
paxonel:The devil is an idol... It can not influence anything...... It's like innoson and car battery or tyre.... It is what God has created it to do ..that is what it does...no more no less... To put the devil in the same level is nothing short of insult... |
KnownUnknown:Your ignorance stinks... Stop using it to judge me... We don't belong to the same league.. |
paxonel:The devil is a creation It is an idol not a God.. Only God is God...... God and devil are different nature.......one is living, the other is not..just like the car and it's creator.. You understand now? This is Isaiah 45:3-5.. Read verse 5 till it sinks in..

paxonel:Can a car tyre be against innoson (of innoson motors)?? Does it make any sense? |
The devil is a Roman Catholic construct...there is only God( conciouseness) Light and darkness are complimentary forces.. We need both to survive...

Every time I point that out to Christians they just get a blank stare and say nothing. Mark was the first and oldest gospel. Didn’t have a virgin birth story because Jesus wasn’t special until his baptism. Mathew and Luke up the Devine anti to a virgin birth, and John makes him god from the beginning of time. Perfect picture of mythology in progress. These are not historical writings at all. It’s religious mythology |
You will pay a huge price for leaving Jesus and the church with all of its non- Torah ideas. I have family members who will not eat with me or talk to me because I left their Jesus and threw in with learning Gods divine laws. Be a truth seeker even if it means leaving Christianity. Be a righteous Gentile Follow God out of Christianity and return to the teaching of the Torah. Search through the internet and learn the difference between Christianity and Judaism. Good luck and remember to always ask honest questions.

Moses in his orations to the people, via the divine inspiration of God sums up the truth claim of Judaism in one unambiguous verse which we can weigh all “progressive revelation” against… Deuteronomy 29:28 The secret things belong to the Lord our God; but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this Torah. The Jews are the possessors of truth & that which God has revealed at Sinai. It all was for the purpose of actively keeping & doing the commandments of God, that they may connect with Him in the way He prescribed. If one is seeking truth, go to the keepers of it, the Jewish people. The revealed things belong to them till eternity.. It would seem Paul did not get such a memo. According to him, the mystery of godliness is great and equally uncontroversial. This Pauline mystery espouses doctrines which were deemed total heresy according to the keepers of the revealed things & thereby were rightly rejected. Paul’s “New Covenant” of metamorphosis in christ sought to nullify the Mosaic law not equip one to diligently keep it. Paul is the enemy of God & His people. 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. |
What’s a good apologetic defense for the gospels recording the crucifixion on different days? I have seen Christians try and muddy the waters by directing the skeptics to focus on days of the week, calendar discrepancies, or differences between the Jewish and Roman start of the day, but none of these distractions address the issue: the last supper is a Passover Seder in Matthew, Mark, and Luke and so Jesus is killed on Passover in the Synoptics. In the gospel of John, the last supper is not a Passover Seder and Jesus is killed the day before Passover. Why isn’t this discrepancy an obvious sign that the writers intended the stories to be fictional? |
