PoliticsRe: Abia Guber: Dr Alex Otti Vs Okezie Ikpeazu. Who Is Better? by SonOfEl(m): 11:16pm On Jan 20, 2015

I am from Imo...that style will cause an uproar in my state..however I have observed that abia runs highly caustic and clannish politics..I don't see how abia will progress with that style of politics
is your state any better? If you don't have any constructive advice to give rather than downplay abia politics, then save your data for something else...
Believe it or not, abia has more potentials and achievement than your imo despite our shortfalls.
Pls go with your pessimism, make we hear word.

I have been to Delta, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Rivers, Edo, Bayelsa, Abia, Imo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Oyo and Lagos state. I must say that Abia state is the most dirtiest state I have ever visited while Enugu and Delta are the cleanest state I have live at
what parameters did you use in adjudging the dirtiest state?

ikpeazu's leadership antecedents are welcomed to be shared. In the meantime, otti is the better one.

i will get the documents and upload it here for all to see. @ b2mario, please stop all this nonsense. i am from aba too and i know my town very well. when it comes to dirty and bad roads aba has got it ahead of any town at least in the south east, i dont know about nigeria but nothing is permanent, we can still get it right with right person in power. if we vote ikpeazu next year i am sure as an aba boy our state shall be brought out from this mess.
beautiful response.

okay, what are ikpeazu leadership antecedents?

Sincerely speaking I do not even wish to be on this thread but for the madness of b2mario. He thinks if everybody ignores him that I will ignore his madness too. I am equally more mad than he is. Imagine somebody that will prefer a dustbin man to Otti who will come and rebuild Abia from the ruins.
otti is my person anyday anytime. Why? Because his leadership antecedents speaks for him.

I MUST CONFESS, ABIA'S PROBLEM IS FOR GOOD PEOPLE TO SIT AND DO NOTHING. ITS TERRIBLE. THE TWO ORJIS THAT 'RULED' THIS STATE SHOULD NOT BE CELEBRATED. THEIR BAD WORKS CLEARLY OUTSHINES WHATEVER GOOD THEY HAVE DONE.

Listen very well my friend. Nobody is castigating Aba or Abia state for being the dirtiest town and state. Go back through this thread. Your brother b2mario is having a mental problem. He goes about insulting Anambra people on this thread and thought somebody like me will allow it slide. Of course I will fire him back with the harsh truth. Learn to find out how issues cropped up in the first instance. I will always keep b2mario under check with harsh truths until his madness is fully cured.
mind you abia state is not and never the dirtiest state in the southeast. If it is, what parameters did you use in adjudging? Agreed, aba stinks with dirt yet it dosent make abia state the 'dirtiest' state. Pls criticise constructively. My other bro b2mario should be ignored. Pls lets move forward n ignore him.

Stfu! The person you quoted is not from Anambra but Abia state. He is a concerned Abian who faces reality.
i dont care whether he is even from my village, point is, anambra should not in any way be a yardstick for abia. Lets just criticise abia without downplaying its dignity, worst of all, using anambra to standardize abia.

ANAMBARIANS AND THEIR CHEST BEATING. WAS ONITSHA NOT ONCE UPON A TIME THE DIRTIEST UNPLANNED PLACE IN THE EAST? YET DID WE CASTIGATE ANAMBARIANS? NOW THEY TALK AS OF THEY ARE SUPERIOR TO OTHER IGBO STATES. INSECURE FELLOWS. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SHOULD CURE YOU OF YOUR IGNORANCE ABOUT ABA, ABRIBA, OHAFIA, AROCHUKWU, ISIKWUATO, BENDE, UMUAHIA, IKWUANO BOTH HISTORICALLY, ECONOMICALLY AND CULTURALLY.

truly wat we ve in my state is really a hell on his own, n eye sore ......... i shed tears each time i am their, the people posting trash here re either Ta. orji crew or people dat ve not seen development goin on in another state, NO Road , No water , No infrastructure ....... imagine posting pic of n estate road n street light n dey call that development , when u see estates n better street light in every corner u visit in Lagos, i say shame to my fellow brothers who call this whole rubbish development, please one thing i will tell u all travel beyond Abia n see what they call development
as far as am concerned, criticisms about my beloved state are most welcomed. This should aba and abia as a whole to sit up. However, any anambran trying to downplay abia and its people to superiorize anambra is indeed suffering from a terrible complex. Abia has leadership issues, yet that dosent rob it of producing entreprenurial gurus and first class human capital, high literacy rate and rich cultural history. Abia has a smaller population compared to anambra, yet its potentials rivals anambra anyday anytime.

Tell me how Awo screwed it. Tell me.
Silly stereotype. Remember June 12? Yorubas faced the wrath of the millitary devil alone and suffered greatly. Many of our prominent citizens were killed and many more fled the country. But we didnt back down and we were "compensated". The two candidates for the 1999 Presidential election were Yorubas.
We are not afraid to get confrontational when we need to. But it's smarter not to commit fully to any side, especially since neither benefits us. If the North lose this election, you guys stand to face the brunt of the North's fury. Yet, as many as half of our population might be anti-north and the country could be still be divided.
mouth mouth mouth, thats all you folks have. Easterners voted MKO, a yoruba muslim, something yorubas can never do. Remember the inec boss then was humphrey nwosu, who conducted the freest and fairest election in nigeria's history. All these lends weight to the legitimacy and bragging rights of MKO AND HIS YORUBA KINSMEN, which saw the need for compensation in 1999

Ofcos there is nothing to compare with Anambra, because Anambra is light years ahead of your dirty ridden and state governed by non-entity. Abia is the least on the table in the SE. deal wit it
keep dreaming. Asides your much larger population and chinua achebe (who of course had his formative yrs in umuahia), anambra has nothing superior to abia. Truth hurts.

By d way, what does anambra have that abia cannot boast of asides your much larger population? Is it the commercial n entreprenueral spirit, or literacy rate n intellectual endowment, or cultural history? Nwanne kpachara onwegh'anya. Anambra is not superior to abia IN ANY WAY n VICE VERSA.

Whatever that means.
I'm a crazy patriot. I would love it if Igbos and people of other nationalities left and we formed a country with, say, 99% Yoruba majority. But the fact of the matter is that, even if Nigeria was to split, those people of foreign nationalities who live in Lagos and other parts of Yorubaland have already built their lives in Yoruba country and would probably not leave, so we'dl have to tolerate and accept them.
But if anyone leaves, it's their loss. You arent doing us any favours, you get employment in our land and your businesses survive on Yoruba patronage. This is just like Nigeria saying if it dosent sell oil to America, then America will collapse. Crazy, right? Nigeria is actually the one in need of the money and there are many more alternatives for the state. Worse, the United States itself is sitting on great oil reserves, exports oil and is even starting to meet a significant proportion of its domestic oil needs independently.
but careful what u wish for.

What bias? I can assure you that if you request for it again, I'll get you at least 10 links providing details on Igbos arrested across Yorubaland for various criminal practices. I've just thought there should be a limit when airing dirty linens in public. However, my challenge still stand. Can you get a link to a story about Yoruba robbers arrested in Igboland? Infact, I extend the search to any crime committed by a Yoruba in Igboland(not Nigeria, pls). One credible link from a credible online news plaftorm.

Anyway, that isnt the point of my first post. Yorubas dont need Igbos. Your presence is causing Yorubas great harm and little good. Competing for economic opportunities with us when you have all the opportunities in your own land. Also, most of the business of so called Igbo traders has not been constructive for our economy. They are only after enriching themselves. Helping china dump inferior goods in our markets, importing fake goods(including drugs), and selling stolen goods amongst others. I have noticed only a few in the manufacturing sector to whom I'll give credit. The vast majority however, are just enriching themselves at the expense of our land. It is you who would have to deal with such people being unemployed if you leave our land. True, there'd be a vaccum(particularly and perhaps only in Lagos) but I trust in my people's ability to patch it up in no time
keep JONZING...

Abia should be joined to its Mother - Imo for sanity sake and survival.

Asides Ebonyi, Abia is the disgrace to the class of states in the South Least.

Enugu we know, Anambra we know, Imo we know but wtf is Abia?
guy u are really floating. Asides anambra, abia is the thriving indigenous economy in the south-east, a little google save your embarassment. Forget about our shabby politics which indeed is an embarassment to the igbos, abia and abians have made enviable accomplishments in igboland.
Umuahia was the 2nd capital of biafra after enugu, aba at a time was unrivaled in terms of indigenous economic scope, onitsha has taken over. Have u heard of abriba the 'small london' in ohafia L.G area? Every well travelled igbo knows about it. Abia is the home of most army generals of igbo stock, from ironsi, to ebitu ukiwe, to ike nwachukwu...down to ihejirika, trust me, the list is long. Google the ffg names of abia sons-
prof eni njoku, dr michael okpara, alvan ikoku, kanu nwankwo, ndubuisu kanu, nnamdi asomugha, abraham godson, dr ndubuisi ekekwe,...this should do for now. Anybody downplaying the land of enyimba is a learner.
NB- ndubuisi kanu was the first and pioneer governor of old imo state, michael okpara was the eastern region premier after zik.

You know the answer, Achebe the prominent ibo ever.
there is no such thing as 'oga of them all'. Achebe is great in his field, so are other illustrous sons of igboland in anambra state.

see bias! Anyway, i have googled 'armed robbery' and criminals in nigeria, and a lot of yorubas seems to be in the mix. YOU ARE A LIAR.
