I am about to eat gari in my house from cassava I farmed in 2023, and I was not even in Nigeria at the time. My boys did everything. We are still on the product and I had to give a lot of it out.
Your boys that did everything, are they also millionaires? Do they have cars/lands/houses of their own ?

What Mikel Obi has won in his life and the stages he had played on makes him a huge success.

He was so integral to Chelsea that he played over 10 years for several coaches in the same defensive Midfielder position.

That position is so so important to any team that Man City suffered greatly in Rodri's absence.

Stop hating.

Sanchez is making school boy errors in an elite division. Jackson will miss eight chances before scoring one.

Both of them are not reliable and have to be dropped.
In Obi's time at the club, most managers that didn't play him ended up failing. At least before he got older.

Good food and the right exercise. Besides gaining muscle mass is much healthier than gaining fat.

FamilyRe: "My Wife's Ex Is Back, And Their Romance Is Rekindling – Should I Walk Away? by sonofthunder: 4:38am On Jan 02, 2025
Sapasenator:
Hello Nairalanders,

I am completely lost and need advice. My name is Olumide Adeyanju(Not my real name), and I’m a 42-year-old civil engineer based in Lagos. I’ve been married to my wife, Tola, for seven years. We have a son together, Jidenna, who is five years old. Our marriage hasn’t been perfect, but I thought we had something solid—until recently.

When I met Tola, she was a divorcee. She told me her first marriage to a man named Dapo Olatunji ended after three years due to irreconcilable differences and I believed her. According to her, Dapo had anger issues and was overly controlling. She said she left the marriage to protect her mental health and focus on building a better life for herself. At the time, I admired her courage, and we built a beautiful relationship.

Last month, everything changed. Tola and I were invited to a wedding in Lekki. As fate would have it, Dapo was also at the wedding. It was the first time they were seeing each other in nearly 10 years. I noticed they exchanged pleasantries, and while it seemed cordial at first, something about the way they looked at each other didn’t sit well with me.

In the weeks that followed, I started noticing subtle changes in Tola’s behavior. She began acting distant and spending more time on her phone, often smiling at her screen like a teenager in love. When I asked her what was going on, she brushed it off, saying it was just "work stress."

Then, two weeks ago, I came home early from work and found her on a video call with Dapo. She didn’t realize I was home, so I overheard parts of their conversation. They were laughing and reminiscing about their past together—things like how they used to travel to Abuja for weekend getaways and the time he bought her a surprise gift for her birthday. It felt like I was intruding on a private moment between lovers.

When I confronted her, she admitted that she and Dapo had been talking regularly since the wedding. She claimed it was "nothing serious" and that they were just "catching up as friends." But I don’t believe her. Her behavior has changed so much. She’s more secretive, and I even found out she met up with him last Saturday without telling me. She said it was a "closure" meeting, but why does she need closure after all these years?

Now I’m stuck. I love Tola, but it feels like her heart is being drawn back to Dapo. I’ve spoken to my elder brother, Kunle, and he thinks I should stand my ground and fight for my marriage. But my best friend, Tunde, says I should let her go if she’s already emotionally checked out.

I don’t know what to do. Should I confront Dapo directly? Should I give Tola an ultimatum to stop talking to him? Or should I quietly walk away and let her decide who she really wants to be with?

Please, Nairalanders, I need your honest opinions. Have you experienced or heard of a situation like this? How do I handle it?
It seems you are waiting for her to cheat before you take action

PropertiesRe: My Landlord Wants To Kill Me by sonofthunder: 5:18am On Dec 28, 2024
IyaTola:
I understand your frustration!

Firstly, a 200% rent increase is quite steep. Here are some steps you can take:

Negotiation
1. Review your lease agreement: Check if there's a clause that stipulates how rent increases should be handled.
2. Talk to your landlord: Schedule a meeting to discuss the rent increase. Be calm and respectful.
3. Propose a compromise: Suggest a more reasonable rent increase, citing market rates or your financial constraints.

Seeking Assistance
1. Tenant associations or unions: Reach out to local tenant organizations for guidance and support.
2. Housing counseling agencies: Non-profit organizations that provide free or low-cost housing counseling.
3. Local government agencies: Contact your local housing authority or consumer protection agency.

Legal Action
1. Consult a lawyer: If negotiations fail, consult with a lawyer specializing in tenant-landlord law.
2. File a complaint: If your landlord has violated the lease agreement or local laws, file a complaint with the relevant authorities.
3. Court action: As a last resort, take your landlord to court. Be prepared to provide evidence and witnesses.

Other Options
1. Look for a new place: If the rent increase is unsustainable, start searching for a new apartment.
2. Consider a rent subsidy: If you're eligible, explore government programs or non-profit organizations that offer rent subsidies.

Remember to document all communication with your landlord, including dates, times, and details of conversations.

Take a deep breath, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Yaraduah was sick and couldn't do much but reserve grew to over 68 billion dollar at that time.

During GEJ reserve shrink a little probably due to 2008 global economic meltdown. But we soon experienced boom in oil sale but i believe GEJ didn't not plan to save.... And likewise debt climb a little to 10 billion dollars.

Buhari was a disaster entirely as at 2023 at the end of his tenure we accumulated $43.2 billion foreign debt.

You can see the difference..

Today our debt in foreign currency to foreigners is over 70 billion
Reserves shrank a little under GEJ? I see what you did there.Did it only shrink or didn't he proceed to sharing the money in the excess crude account after trying to spend it behind the governors backs.

Yes GEJ neither saved or invested well. He just kept on drawing up plans of what should be done.

PMB spent money on mostly the wrong things hence we didn't see tangible growth. A major disappointment was his inability to fix all refineries within his first tenure.

I think we often downplay the part whereby the stupidity of previous governments makes it harder for any future administrations to achieve anything tangible.

Obasanjo is the greatest...

He came in, saw a debt of 36 billion dollars.
Oil price was 11 dollars.
Debt servicing was 3.7 billion yearly
Foreign reserve was 3.5 billion.

By the time he left in 2007

Debt of 18 billion dollars has been paid.
18 billion was forgiven.
22 billion saved in excess crude oil saved
50 billion foreign reserve.

Note : over 70 billion+ dollars saved. If you add it with 18 billion.. Almost 90 billion Obasanjo generated and saved from savings we paid our debt.

Now APC has been in power for 10 years now.

Search where we are. Be the judge

We can safely conclude that there has been massive stealing going on cos i don't understand now oil is selling for 70 dollars plus
You can also educate us what happened between Obasanjo and BATs administration.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Help!! Is My Inverter Running Normally At This Capacity? (PHOTOS) by sonofthunder: 4:10am On Dec 10, 2024
TenQ:
1. Too bad, you bought a TOY
2. Sellers of Inverters will sweet talk you into bad purchases

Let me break it down for you
1. Your One Panel 18V 30W:
Means that if the efficiency is 100%, as long as the sun is up, the maximum load it can carry is 30W between 9am and 5pm (8 Hours)
If there is no NEPA (Mains Electricity), it means you can use 60W of power for 4 Hours OR 120W for 2 Hours
2. Your battery capacity of12V 12AH Lead-acid battery
Mean that at full capacity, it can store at 100% efficiency 144W of Energy
it means that at best you can use up to 144W of Energy for 1 Hour OR 72W of Energy for 2Hours
3. Your Inverter of 220V 150W.
Mean that at 100% Efficiency, you cannot plug loads up to 150W without blowing up the inverter. This is the maximum power you can draw from it if your battery capacity will allow it.

Now, you are driving it with a load of 95W OX fan
Laptop at 65W

Let me shock you that the efficiencies of solar panel that is properly optimised is less that 50% from the rating
Your Battery can have 80% Efficiency only when brand new, as you use it (especially when overloading it) the efficiency can drop to 40%

So, don't use your inverter for your fan or laptop, restrict it to giving you lights at night.
Don't even bother augmenting with extra panels or batteries because it will still waste your money

Recommendation: Even though costly
1. Two Deep cycle Batteries of at least 200AH capacity
2. Three to Four Solar panels
3. Charge controllers rated for the four panels with a power not less that 1200W
4. Inverter (Sine Wave) of at least 1500W (Much higher is better)

Less is a waste of investment

My Small Advice!
What set up will you recommend for a solar system expected to carry a freezer.

Is a 12 volt system okay or minimum or 24volt
