No need for insults. It is a wonderful thread. I want to learn why it fails and why it's so cheap to buy nowadays especially 9ja used. It's true that they are common in Kano too. I guess that it is not meant for hustlers. It should be one of your cars or madam cars. The only thing I dread in the car is it's intolerance to our fuel

Nurey is in a better position to convert to CNG. But a V8 is not a good idea for conversion. A lot of cars equipped with CNG especially injection system are not 100 percent reliable

In a WhatsApp group that I joined, a lot of people have been selected to offer the service by the agency responsible for the gas conversion. Let Nurey explain it better to you. The project is in the pipeline but with the rising price of gas, is it still worth it ? I know someone with a 2006Lr3 with the gas and fuel combo already installed. Should I ask him to sell it to you if you want to upgrade ? He has never used the gas or whenever he brings the car, I will call you so that we can study it together ?

I worked in Omotosho In 2008 and my hotel was Ceasar hotel in okitipupa and they had electricity which was better than Ore and Omotosho. Agagu was from the town and I remember that all the streets were tarred and the evening life was great. When did the light go bad for 13 years?

It was repaired by the manufacturer, Landrover. It explains why the price is high, they use OEM parts right down to the bolt nuts. The damaged car spent 2 months with them and came out like new. Labour itself only cost £2500, the rest of the money went for parts.

Landrover is an awesome car to drive, but very expensive car to maintain. To fill up mine with diesel alone costs £100, and I fill it up at least twice weekly. I would strongly advise that anyone who chooses to own one should have a fund set aside for repairs, because you will definitely spend on repairs. There are other luxurious cars that are cheaper to drive and maintain. Personally, I'm a Landrover addict and this is my second one. I owned an Evoque before this one.

It is the manufacturer that created the notion that it is expensive to maintain. 2 years ago, Bearmach was selling one diesel injector nozzle for 78k but this year, it is now 140k, the last time I checked. Coscharis behaves like them and that is why they are called stealers instead of dealers in the US. OEM parts are not foolproof, they fail easily. As for other luxury cars that are cheap to maintain, I have never seen it. Someone just bought the front headlights of a Super sport Lexus for 750k, and I once changed the engine oil of a Bentley 6.0 that requires 15 litres of oil. The Abs module on a land cruiser is over 1m. All these parts on these cars will never go bad on a Range Rover easily. And they're not as luxurious than the range rover. Addicted to something good is a blessing. At least you did not enter the Land Rover circuit with the first generation Sport like me though it was a 5 year old model then and since 2011, na only V8 be the real thing. Nothing else matters.

Dot 4 is ideal for the car but not all dot 4 are beneficial. If a producer of a product does not know the difference between break and brake, run from the product. As for the power steering fluid, go to otopec and get it from the guy. Any product with German technology is fake. It's the same thing with battery that is made in china with Korean technology. The bottom line is that you are the one that is going to bear the cost for ignoring the right oil, so use the right oil. You can also ask for Total brake oil at Akpakpava station. It is Dot 4.

I drive a 2016 model. I would strongly advise you look for a dealer or Landrover specialist close to wherever you live to sort out your vehicle. Landrover vehicles are a money pit, but if well looked after, they are amazing to drive.

Photo of mine after an accident a year ago, cost me £20,000 for the manufacturer to fix it.

2m would have fixed it properly. Most times, mechanics call us from the US and asking if we can fix these accident cars. The parts are expensive but the repairs are not high and like you stated, maintenance is key. Managers don't deserve to own a range rover, only directors.

So if there’s a claim to be made, which insurance company will pay claims for up to 1m because you paid 3000 to insure your car. The Nigerian Insurers Association has outlawed the commission above the threshold of 500 naira and all members are signatories. I will advise everyone to log in to www.niip.com and buy your insurance policy. It is 5k and your data will be captured in the system. And you will be settled whenever you have any issue with claims. The era of having a third party insurance policy just for police wahala is over. Get your policy so that when you mistakenly hit a Rangerover on the road, you don’t have any reason to prostrate for your mate, you fill the form and shake hands and move on.
