Impunity is when a man is granted bail from two different courts & security operatives comes in front of a court to harass him in the name of arrest. Whereas some of us aren't seeing anything wrong in the act. Where is the law that states all men are innocent until proven guilty in a competent court of jurisdiction? It is hightime,we abrace ourselves rightly. This isn't the right way a sane society should functions! |
This is a clear case of Bring Him/Her Down Syndrome #BHDS. In as much as it's not all the rain the fell in a year that touches you, same for all business deal. You were contacted as a blogger but you weren't used doesn't mean you should castigate persons who did the job |
Its rather unfortunate that there was an attempt on his life as stated in the story but I must say, there is no cohesion to this story. Looks more as a fiction to my comprehension, all the same,if this is true then we're on a long ride. |
Mynd44:Adoption of the Ogoniland clean up report without implementation is as good as not adopting. It was just a political stunt, No clean-up activity ongoing in the entire Ogoniland. Please remove that as an achievement. If there is any implementation it will create over 10,000 jobs for both professional, skilled in unskilled personnels. |
"Asked why all public taps in the state have dried up, he noted that he preferred sinking water boreholes for communities instead of procuring chemicals, maintaining machines and other facilities". I won't be surprised if most of our so called leader/politician don't read to get themselves updated. Someone should please remind the Gov.Rochas of Imo State, that using the water treatment plants is more sustainable to run/maintain even the developed nations where they all run to for medical checkup uses a centralised water treatment plants in supplying water to its populace. He wants to sink boreholes & then tell his electorate he spend "73million" for sinking one borehole |
“Furthermore, Mr. President’s recent announcement to the world that the nation, with its abundant human and natural resources, is broke and cannot pay cabinet ministers not only sends a discouraging signal to the domestic and international business community, but also exposes the ineptitude of the present administration to meaningfully and sincerely exert itself and work with industrious and innovative investors to create and manage wealth. I won't be surprise when his aides will debunk this statement, that the President was quoted out of context. It is high time, the APC-led government stand-up to its responsibilities by more of actions & less of talks. I am beginning to believe that APC as a party didn't have an existing blueprint of Nigeria's economy, they're stalling to make out one now. We were meant to believe that their inability to kick-start with their policies & blueprint was as a result of the failure of past administration in submitting the handover note on time. But it is 5months now after handover, are they still studying the documents? I hope the Presidential aides, will start teaching PMB the ethics in communication before this gets out of hand #Myopinion# |
It is obvious they've to retire voluntarily. The ethic of their job has been compromised by the singular action of PMB of acting a retired Army Officers as the Head of Customs. This is like a situation of appointing a principal of a secondary school as a Vice Chancellor. It is not a good precedence PMB is laying now, soon than later this particular action might cost the Nigerian Customs a serious in the structure of leadership. I hope this anomaly is addressed soonest |
Super Eagles is a camp not a family house, and it shouldn’t be a threat zone for any individual. There is a fundamental issue in the Nigerian football team presently. I hate putting blames on a particular party but rather share it amongst the parties involved. The manner at which the players we feel are most committed are retiring from the National team is a pointer that the new management might be lacking human/man resource skills which is one of the most important ingredients in human development/management. It is high time those in the know should reach out to the national team coach, reminding him that he was appointed to lead/manage & not dictate. |
OrlandoOwoh:We all have forgotten too quickly that Port Harcourt International Airport & others where abandoned when the allegation/probe of the former minister of aviation in the person of Stella Oduah began. Please we should be objective in our criticism. GEJ tried to give our airports new faces, the little recognition our airports have today is as a result of the efforts put by his administration. |
Enahi:On a serious note,we can't understand what you are going through without a pictorial view of the said natural endowment that is making you uncomfortable when you walk alone the road ![]() |
Fayemi said they were all rumours, stating that the government house was built with just N2.5 billion. Mehn....the way our politicians mention money is worrisome. A man using the word 'JUST' to express a whopping sum of #2.5billion. It is high time, we're begin to ask our leaders to define sustainable development, having Agenda 21 in mind. |
"According to him, the procedure for handing over to his government by the immediate past administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan contributed to the delay in the appointment of cabinet members". When will this blame game end? He had earlier said that the delay in appointing of his cabinet was as a result of him searching for men/women or unquestionable character. How come now it is because of the lateness of the submission of the handover note? When a person/persons begin to speak from both sides of their mouth, the person/persons integrity should be weighed on the balance. My submission though! |
Funjosh:We're saying that his speech is inconclusive. He would have at least mention the Lake Chad Basin & it's degradation as a result of climate change. Nigeria is blessed with renown environmentalist that would have obliged to write better speech that would have addressed this issue conclusive. |
If this list is true, then Nigeria as a country has a long way to go on "Gender Equity"which is one of the high points on the 70th United Nations Assembly. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!! |
koboko69:How are you so sure that it is the pdp senators that allegedly forged the senate standing rules. The article above stated that "some group of senators" was there pdp in the quote? Please let's learn to be objective in our analysis so we can all be enlighten. |
simpleseyi:Your comment amuse me when the oblivious below stated it all "Atte, a Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) in charge of Finance, Administration and Technical Service (FATS) is the most senior officer and he is expected to hold forth till President Muhammadu Buhari either confirms him or appoints a new CGC" There was no need for your comment...although we learn everyday ![]() |
Have you ever met a person who was broke/ unhappy/divorced and told you that was his/her goal? I don't think so. Failure is never a decent destination, we all try to avoid it as hard as we can. But when it comes to success sometimes you do everything right, but you still fail. Why does it happen? What can you do to avoid it? The line between successful and ordinary people is thick only in the end. When you're only starting your way to the top this line is almost invisible. If your life hasn’t turned out quite the way you were hoping, then don’t you think it might be time to shake things up a bit? See what you need to take in order change or improve to stay on the right track: Step 1 - Make A Decision It doesn't matter who you are and where you are in life. You can change your life however you want at any time. But to change the direction of your life you need to do one thing: you need to make a decision. The moment when you say yourself that starting now your life is going to be different. There will be no perfect circumstances, but the great thing is you don't need them. This is your life, your decision and it's entirely up to you. Step 2 - Change Your Approach Once you’re ready to make a change, the difficult part is committing and following through. The next step is realizing that you need to change a lot. We can't expect that we will have the different results while doing the same things, can we? Until we are willing to adjust the way we do things, it’s unrealistic to think that we can make meaningful changes in our life. Step 3 - Develop Clarity On Your Goals To reach your goal you need to know exactly what is it you want. Take a huge sheet of paper and write your major goal on it with giant letters. Then hang it in such place where you will see it all the time as a reminder. It might seem huge and unrealistic, and that's why you need to break it into manageable steps. Make a plan on achieving them and make sure it id realistic enough to start it today. If not - break it into even smaller pieces. Step 4 - Change Your Habits If you haven't thought of it yet - it's time to take care of your health. Start with replacing your unhealthy behaviors with healthy ones. Do not try too change everything at ones. It takes time, so the best way is start small. For example set yourself a goal to sleep no more, no less than 8 hours a day or replace a desert with something more healthy. As new healthy behaviors become a habit, try to add another one that works toward the change you’re striving for. Step 5 - Improve Your Relationships Mark Twain once said:"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great". Well, no one could have said better. Think about your circle of influence and try to keep away from unhealthy relationships. Step 6 - Read More To reach your goals you need to stay motivated which can be difficult sometimes. So the best way to motivate yourself, to change your set mind is to read books that were written by the most successful people. That the best thing! You can learn from the greatest of the human kind anytime and anywhere. Try "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, "The Monk and the Riddle" by Randy Komisar and "Focal Point" by Brian Tracy for starter. Step 7 - Believe in Yourself You will definitely make it. It's only scary to start, but if you will trust your guts, believe in yourself and embrace changes instead of resisting them - you will definitely succeed. So just make the first step and in a year or so you won't believe how much your life has changed for better. @ OP! Please dust your sorry ass & face reality. It is take the Grace of God before she'll change her heart & even if she does, she is marrying you out off pity. Is that the kind of marriage you wish for? See it as a new challenge, that you've dwell so much on your past achievements. Tell yourself that you want to grow academically, even if it is a Part-time program in any of our Universities, you can start from 200l in another 2years, you would have become a OND & B.Sc holder, your title don increase oooh . So no one will tell you again that you're an ordinary OND holder, so I can't marry you again. Cheer up, it's not the end of the World bro! |
I am guessing this is one of the reasons he was attacking the last administration and particularly NOI. For goodness sake this loan is too much for a sitting Governor who has just few months to handover to some other person. These men keep mortgaging our future generation |
@ op, seizing his laptop won't solve the issue at hand but rather a holistic approach will do the needful. If I may ask, have you had a sex education talk with your son lately? If no, it is high time you do so. At this stage, you don't need to hide anything from him, tell him the Pro's & Con's of it all. It is now in his hands to choose between good or bad. Moreso, do not tell his father for now, since he has being begging you,if you do. You'll betray the trust he has for you, except his father will keep it to his chest. Try to win back his trust by telling him to always confide in you no matter how dirty or bad the issue might be. This will help you in keeping a tab on him & also avoid such heartbreak. |
A pastor at the Christian Proctor Church in Vermont, has been sentenced to one year imprisonment for refusing to wed a gay couple. The Honorable Myron Danus in his verdict said, “Religious freedom goes both ways, Mr. Horner,” Danus told a packed courtroom. “It is not your place to deny individuals the same rights that everyone else has, rights that were passed down and agreed upon in a court of law, the ultimate court, the Supreme Court. It is not your decision whether or not you agree with the law but more importantly that you follow it and enforce it.” The Pastor, 56-year-old Paul Horner, had his lawyer speak to reporters on his behalf: “We are currently disputing the guilty verdict and I am confident my client will be a free man here shortly,” said attorney Tom Downey. “Horner was just using his best judgment according to his rights and religious freedom in this country.” NBC reports that the Christian Proctor Church is registered with the state as a “religious corporation” limited to performing “one-man-one-woman marriages as defined by the Holy Bible.” But the church is also registered as a for-profit business and city officials said that means the owners must comply with state and federal regulations. Steve Shand, president of the Vermont Family Research Committee, said it is “open season on Americans who refuse to bow to the government’s redefinition of marriage.” “Homosexuals are g#y,” Shand told reporters. “Why should Christian ministers be forced to perform and celebrate any marriage that conflicts with their beliefs? It’s a slippery slope my friend. Pretty soon these same pastors will be forced to wed animals or kitchen appliances. This is not my America!” But one Gwen Hawkins who is president of the LGBT Pride Center said she is happy with the court. “We just want the same rights as everyone else and this guilty verdict sets a great precedent,” Hawkins said. “These fanatical Christians base their life on one verse in the Bible but they seem to forget the other 99% of the verses in the book. For example, why can’t we stone to death Bristol Palinfor having a baby out of wedlock? And what about her mother, Sarah Palin, breaking the rules of Corinthians 14:34 which clearly state that as a woman, she is not allowed to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. But no, they like to pick the one verse in the Bible about gay people and build their camp around it,” reports NBC. You need to encourage to leave your place. Firstly, is your company owing it's staff salary? If no! Then you can support her with some money so she can get her own place of abode at least rather than asking her to leave without a place to lay her head & that of her children since you have empathy for her. |
I think there are two sides of this story. The man might have the notion that the children aren't his biological children, therefore he feels molesting them is a way of paying back his wife but on the other hand; I don't support or encouraging molesting of animals not to talk of human beings. The man needs help urgently, one of such is psychiatric evaluation before any spiritual exercise. |
