Wooow this dude got all this...... This is surprising çoz I and dis Jimmie serve in the capital city of Ibadan,he is one of the coolest dudr u can find around going on his own in a gentle way... All this tinz u peeps are saying about him flaunting is just basically on social network and not real life which I think he as a right to. Not until this post made front page that I knew what this guy is worth coz he doesn't brawl or brag about it. I remember vividly 2weeks ago in iseyin camp when I had an altercation with one bonkaz behaving fella while on the queue this dude almost punched me while we were dragging in a nutshell I lost my place on the queue. And this b-naira guy was the first dude on the line, I was already frustrated I would have to go join the line from the back,but I tried my luck with this guy and talked to him that hope he saw everything that transpired between me and bonkaz behaving guy, before I could land with my explanation this chairman asked me to stay at his front without much hassle .I was the first corper to be registered in camp for that day amongst batch B,thanks to him.

@ OP,i understand not all fingers are equal, so if that is the best ur parent can afford, then pls manage it. You can start by selling recharge card in your hall of residence and your department. That way, you have a source of renewable resource to last you for a month. it aint easy but you'll sail through.You can also try yemiplus2 advice. All the best

Okay, to what I wanted to say. According to the camp director, there was this Corp member who was posted to serve in Abuja. While in camp, he submitted a medical report claiming to be sickle celled. He asked to be redeployed to his state of origin so he can receive proper medical attention. The redeployment worked out.

To cut the long story short, after a few years, the DSS was recruiting and the young man applied. Trying to run some background check on him, DSS contacted NYSC.

NYSC replied by saying the guy was of good conduct while he was with them but they'll advice they handle him with care as he seems to be suffering from sickle cell.

Considering the nature of the work, recruiting the dude was an impossibility. That was how he lost the job. One way or the other, the guy found out why he wasn't recruited. He wrote NYSC informing them he fabricated the medical report claiming he had sickle cell so he could redeploy

They told him it was too late and there's nothing they can do.

Moral of the story: Don't claim to have a sickness cos you want to leave camp or redeploy

story for the gods bro......that oldman or woman that told that story gave you similar folklore stories told to kids back in the days to deter them from doing something juvenile inclined and crazy,he just used it to impart fear into y'all,so you wouldn't think of making such a bail out for yourself,this is 9ja bro and I am a street dude to the core,shiit like that don't pull a strand of hair on my thick dark negro skin hommie, I don't get called the wilde1 for nothing. Only very few lucky peeps wld get posted 2 a ppa in ibadan dat wald require u 2teach,if u are bent on not teachin den u nid 2knw d who is who in camp,as 4d babes dnt mingle wit soldiers oo,dey ve lil or nothin 2 offer yu in terms of influencin ur ppa,all dey wld do u as a favor if u re frnds wit dem is u might b given preferrential treatment durin drillz in camp. Liase well wit every nysc official coz dey are d main people dat call d shots in camp as regards ur NYSC documentations and posting,neva lookdown on dem. Back 2d ish abt ibadan,i am in IB north and houses are really xpensiv in dis syd of IB,coz it houses majorly all d OYO state parastatals and even d governors house so u see y its logical 4 accomodatn 2b on a hi side,4dose dat wld b posted 2 OYO u ve no qualms as regards housin,its as cheap as it can get...... Ibadan is like lagos bur cheaper, you will get to know you can get Lagos bus from Ibadan for 500 naira, and its certified in the garage. You will get to know 700 naira bike is 150 or 200 in Ibadan, lolz and my favourite food shawama is 700 or 800 here instead of 1000 or 1500 in Lagos, 200 naira plantain will last you days in ibadan except the person is a glutton it might not last him minutes self haha. The iseyin camp you talking about is not as rigid as other camps. You will find out

depends on which of the ministries you are posted to,not saying this to burst your bubbles but most government parastatals don't pay corpers in Ibadan so all you have to support your self is federal alawi and state alawi which is irregular,even recognised civil servants are being paid alphabetically meaning some are still yet to get paid for last month as at now,you need to see the main teachers I work with sit in the staffroom and lament there fate.

If you don't wanna get posted to a school all you need do is join a group in camp,be it OBS,red cross,sports group or the camp band. This groups assure you to large extent a place in the capital,if you join OBS you would likely end up in a media house ur printing press,you join red Cross a state owned hospital or even such might be your portion, you join a sports group den you would likely get ministry of sports and youth development,while the campbandmost times earns you a place in a barracks office depending on how talented and useful you are in the band..... Now you decide

as a law graduate and lawyer i doubt if u are given special ppa's like d medical students get,u are considered 2b just like every other graduate,the only thing that wld guarantee u a good ppa is wen u participate in some grupz in camp e.g sports grup,camp band or d OBS.asyd 4rm dis u wld b posted 2most likely a skul unless u make use of undaG processing in camp.
