DeleTaller: More endorsement to come on Friday during JUMAT service.. Obi will not win a single state in the entire North and south west.. It's funny you expect him to win in the North or South West, the best he can get is Benue in middle belt, that is very unlikely, even east, he is not sure of half of the states, maybe Abia, Anambra, and one other South South state, election is all about personal interest, when push come to shove, most of those Eastern governors will prefer Atiku, they always have. |

Watch as the list of states grows on either side. This is a game of ostrich. Arguments won't change a damn thing. For your own good dispose of your old notes. This is the Nigeria many of you have been celebrating. Thanks for your concern, but we don't give a crap, let the list grow, a governor supporting the deadline, but protesters are demonstrating and burning banks in his state, 50 percent of those in his state can't get money (cash, old or new) and you are saying he is wise, that is the height of foolishness, to think you can bold use that kind of an idiot as example say a lot about your state of mind. |

That is the real problem, if you say you care about the masses but they can lose all they have as far as your candidate can have an upper hand, according to you, he is a magician, once elected he will make everything perfect. If POS operators still don't have new notes and some POS agents have thousands of naira they can take to the bank because they won't get equivalent cash back, how can you honestly say you are happy and it's good for him, all he did was open a business, he didn't do anything illegal, why should he suffer. It's a different thing if the new notes is available and you can just walk in and make the exchange, the idea is stupid then, it's stupid now, I don't care if anyone electoral chance is destroyed, you can't sacrifice Nigeria on the alter of any politician. |

XLence: Sir, CBN is not a party to the suit. Also, this issue borders on fiscal policy by agency of government. It's like someone dragging CBN to court over interest or exchange rates. The only difference here is that currency swap borders on morality (human rights), but again same arguments can be made for the scenarios I painted above. Truth is, Nigeria have always had weak institutions, and some of us have always celebrated this until now. This is a game of ostrich and only CBN and PMB can settle the issue. Young man, CBN doesn't need to be in the suit, CBN is not an arm of the government, they can't give directives, whatever the president says, CBN has to follow. The fact that you think CBN have a say explain how little you understand about our system of government, once a case is in court, the president can't do anything, he can influence the judges to do his bidding but he can't make a decision on an ongoing case. So yes, we can celebrate and continue to spend our old notes, watch how the presidency will avoid the discussion or try to say little by using those they can discard to address the issues, it's a nightmare the president can walk into, even SGF knows. To think you are smarter than 10 state government and their SGF, if you are unhappy, take the supreme court to court |

Some of you thinks because the Supreme Court is the highest it can rule anyhow.... This case is under the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court... And since it involves the monetary policy, it's only the Federal government that can take the CBN to the SC... Jurisdiction? Why did SGF stop the case like he boosted, the case is in the supreme court, are you going to take the supreme court to the High Court for lack of jurisdiction You lots are just kids, you just say whatever some idiot tells you, supreme court have made its decision, take it to court if you are not pleased. |

If these two people don't verbally and clearly rescind their imposed deadline (which is already past), then your old notes become your cross to bear!
Let's not bicker or bandy words online... Walk about and spend those old notes as you like!
I don't know your location, but everywhere I have been, most Nigerians are rejecting the old notes! Facts!

TimT: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣..... Supreme Court is now a shadow of itself!!!!!!
What a very useless adjournment.... This case is a very critical case this period.... The SC should know that we don't need adjournment we just need a direct judgement if the old currency is still legal tender or not.... That's why the first adjournment sef, wasn't taken seriously because time was already going for CBN deadline... Now that most banks and businesses are no longer accepting the old notes, this particular adjournment from the SC is extremely irrelevant and unnecessary because what is happening (rejection of the old notes) will spread and more people will reject it.... Now see date of next court , Feb 22, just three days short of election.... Too bad.... This is what happens when the judiciary encroaches on the decisions of the executive..... You will need a loud speaker, you think the case will just come to an end because its your family meeting lol. By 22nd 5 new states will join and another week will be added, most of you are just kids, you have no idea how anything work, you think the supreme Court is a football club that if you shout loud enough, they will change their manager or sell a player lol! Most of you are so stupid, you think if Tinubu or Atiku want to buy vote, they need the old notes, I don't think there's any managing director of a bank that will say no to any of them. Imagine the Senate president visit a bank to exchange 200 million of old note, he won't even leave his car before they felt it. Btw, if they suspend the old notes, it will be easier for them to buy votes because everyone will be so cash starved that even 2k of new notes will do the trick. |

Politics › Re: 3 Things To Know About Supreme Court Judgement On Naira Swap by sparko1(m): 6:18pm On Feb 08, 2023 |
saintopus: At this stage of the naira redesign the problem is not about the extension of the timeline but the none availability of the new notes.
Because for now from my view over 80% of the old naira notes were already with the CBN
Except the president would ask the CBN governor to open the vault and bring out the old naira back in circulation.
I don't see that happening, so the way forward is the rapid printing of the new notes as well as rapid circulation. You are wrong, if the old and the new were allowed to coexist for like 3 to 6 months, there won't be any reason to store new notes, and by then there would be enough new currency to go around. The normal thing to do is, introduce the new currency, tell everyone to go and deposit at their convenience but most importantly, any old currency that goes into the bank should never be allowed out. Simply as ABC! But when you introduce new currency, you put a deadline for the collection of old ones and you only make available less than 25% of the total money in circulation, and you then put a cap to the withdrawal limit, so if I have 50k old currency, and I need to buy stuff with it, if I keep it it won't be useful after a couple of days, if I take it to the bank, I can't get it back, I might not be able to get even 20% of what I want, things I want to buy, I can't buy, the woman I want to buy from won't sell, the economy remains stagnant. I was at Airtel office yesterday, and I couldn't buy 15k data because, they will only take cash or if you do transfer you will have to come the next day and if they can't get your alert even if the transfer is successful, they won't sell you the data. |

Let the whole thing scatter and let yorubas recognize the blackmail Forget propaganda, what they don't know is, it's way easier to get a yoruba vote than for Tinubu to get igbo votes, but trying to make it look like it's our people vs your people is a sure way to lose that margin. I see lots of people abusing Tinubu and making caricature of him, it might work if we were talking about class prefect, it's like the PDP Lagos governorship candidate saying he will eradicate Agberos, you are just shooting yourself in the foot, if when you get elected you can come up with that but using it as a campaign statement will destroy more chances than it can give you. |

saphiere: Men do this all the time. A girl rejected you or broke up with you and instead to go back to the drawing board and find out why, you gather all the energy in this world to hate the female gender.
A good example is that of that boy who's thread is on fp claiming that his sister's and the entirely female children in his family lacks common logic.
He truly needs help. Ladies have unrealistic expectations, because I always drop her at her house when we were dating even when she's very close to work, you expect I do the same when we are apart, ridiculous. Some ladies even said, a good guy should continue to send you monthly stipends until you find another boyfriend , get a life. It's not hate, it's indifference, that is what happens when you don't care about someone, you just don't care. Talking about going to the drawing board, are you for real, I will go to the drawing board because a woman said NO! Even Com512 won't need a drawing board, some cheap money obsessed girl certainly won't do it either. |
