They are maintaining firing superiority
AMAAnalytics:
After seeing this video, I went on YouTube to watch ambush/combat videos. Truth is that modern warfare is different, most shots fired are random in the direction of the enemy. There's no aim and fire.

Just read the comments section of these videos

Wonderful commanding officer. A lot of people might see this as mediocre but what you fail to understand is even if western soldiers met these Nigerian soldiers the would retreat.

They were pushing that's why their senior officer wanted them to keep firing, this gives them fire superiority which would make the enemies to break ranks.

We under estimate Nigerian forces cause of the slow political will of past.

Check history Black hawk down event would have been prevented because Nigerian forces had earlier prevented American forces from being wiped out prior to the event.

I think they were pulled out of Somalia when black hawk down event happened.

I am proud of the Nigerian armed force

The Federal Government of Nigeria should coming to the picture by imposing same on British airways and likes. This will bring both nations to a round table talk for a compromise.
Crime / Re: Soldiers Kill 50 Okuama Villagers – Fleeing Residents Say; Army Denies Claim by spawnx: 10:49pm On Mar 18
Where have you read that the villagers are the ones doing the killings?
Oboys12:
Thesame Army that are being slaughtered like Chicken everyday in the North, how many villages have they burned,
how many villagers did they kill when they were massacred in Niger, Nasarawa, on daily basis in Yobe, Zamfara, Borno, Katsina ans other parts of the North.
Because it happened in the south, level everywhere kill every living thing but when it happens in the north it is called KIA (killed in Action)

Oh I forgot we live in two different countries and two separate laws
Crime / Re: Soldiers Kill 50 Okuama Villagers – Fleeing Residents Say; Army Denies Claim by spawnx: 10:31pm On Mar 18
Well said, the civil defence would have been the best to mediate in these circumstance but I am not to sure of their jurisdiction according to Nigerian laws , in these matters
RisenJoe:
Omoo, this matter tie wrapper ooo but we all know the tendency of nigerian army to instigate trouble where ever they go though i dont support the killings of our armed forces.

I remember what the armed forces did when they did operation python dance in the SE against IPOB even when the group was yet unarmed, how they disgraced, humiliated and killed nigerians who where excercising their constitutional right of free association.

Many people dont know this but that python dance was a turning point in the SE, needlezz deaths has been recorded on both sides of NA and IPOB right from that time till now, just because some people in uniform wants to flex muscle.

The same thing still happened at lekki toll gate where innocent nigerians where mowed down by those who swore to protect them.

I love the armed forces but those trained for war and to kill have no business in settling communal disputes(thats the common sense) . We have civil defence and police, ( but that doesnt give those people the right to kill our beloved army men).

Let the army people withdraw from their to avoid putting petrol into fire cos violence begeth violence of which creek boys are more than capable to return fire for.fire, we dont need any more lose of livez.

We can achieve that which is obtainable in Western nations but realise that what works for them won't work in developing nations until we accomplish true democracy with a working system not the endemic corruption in present day Nigeria
NwaliE01:

They specialise in external peace keeping, and that's why you wouldn't hear in anywhere else the army are partaking in internal peace keeping except if the police failed and it resulted into
a very severe conflict. You can live several years abroad without seeing an army office on the streets. They are very very scarce.

Read more about military functions. They perform peace keeping, which is not limited to the use of deadly force. Mediation falls under peace keeping. Same thing the US and joint military forces were doing in Afghanistan and Iraq
NwaliE01:
Why is Nigeria Army mediating in internal squabbles between two communities?
This is police job. Where is our police for crying out loud?
Army are known to often use excessive force, and this doesn't usually end well.
It's like a hyperactive person settling dispute. Sometimes, the person even fuel the fight instead of mediating.

Yusuf was captured by the military and handed over to the police who botched the situation. Show some respect to true professionals. The military reaction is normal with all military all over the world. Extra judicial cases would be handled when the dust settles.

Shame on Haiti, It's really a big shame for a country of 11 million people not to have a well equipped military that will defend the country at a time like this, they are now begging Kenya to send their police.

What's wrong with black man?

Go and read about their history before commenting. They have been defranchised by the French and US, since end of 18th century. How is a country to develop when the west milked it dry.

The Governors ought to take responsibilities of their state. What is wrong in stalling infrastructural projects and use their monthly allocation from the Federal government to buy food produce from neighbouring states, that have them. Buy in bulk from FMCG companies in Nigeria.

Set up food centres in their various local government and sell at subsidized rate to the citizens. Make use of NIN to address stock piling to resell. Employ an external audit firm to ensure that the system is not corrupted.

Must everything be, run to the President. They are elected to govern a specific space in Nigeria, so govern that space.

I must marry a virgin. I don't care how good your character is, the fact that you couldn't close your legs for your future husband disqualifies you. I can date and love you, but I'm never taking you to momma. I just can't trust you. Even the virgin is 50/50 trust, in the sense that I know she's human and every human has his price. But for a non virgin, trust is zero

Foreign Affairs / Re: Pakistan To Expel 1 Million Afghan Refugees Living There Illegally by spawnx: 10:12am On Nov 02, 2023
Expelling the Afghans isn't about religion but a cultural heritage. It is only normal for a people to have a culture and heritage.
That some tribe speaks Yoruba or a form of it in Benin Republic doesn't give them a reason to move into Nigerian territory and settle down.

1 million people will affect the Pakistan economy, resources etc.

Imagine 1 million more people springing up on Nigerian states' allocation which can barely impart, coupled with inherent corruption.

TV/Movies / Re: Multichoice Increases Subscription Rates For DSTV, Gotv Packages by spawnx: 7:30pm On Apr 27, 2023
How do you make payment, will appreciate information. Thanks
nedekid:

The house of reps and senate people should rather do something about the exchange rate. Dstv has to pay for the channels they show. They also have to pay millions for eg the sports channels rights. All in dollars.
The truth of the matter is tgat the country has been devastated under the apc regime. Nigerians have become poorer.
2015 dstv premium was about 13k or $80 plus. Today it is about 24,000 or $32. For dstv to get how they saw on 2015 they will have to charge about 60k!
Who go pay?
Anyway na from my 2 dstv and 1 gotv, I only pay for one now in my office none at home.
Bro if you have solid internet (I use Luli fiber optics) get iptv smarters pro. I get all the channels in the world along with all the sports channels, matches, Netflix, AMC, all the countries in the world. Over 50,000 channels.
