jpphilips: Funny hw people say our right, our land, what belongs to them, lol, I propose mental profiling for this poster I quoted and his likes, anyone with his IQ or below should be sacrifised to which ever deity is interested.
Errm, oga jpphilips, you don't have to insult me. Maybe you really need to be schooled.
I am a Nigerian, and the Nigerian law clearly states what my rights as a citizen is.

These rights include, but not limited to, Right to life, Right of Liberty, Right to fair Hearing, Right of Association, Right to own a property, Right to religion of choice and conscience, Equality before the law, Freedom from Discrimination, A suspect is assumed to be innocent until Pronounced guilty by Court of Law, Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Movement, Freedom of Assembly.

Now Mr. jpphilips, if the current state of administration cannot accord to me these my rights, what am i to do?
Stand and watch my loved ones to die?

Well, i guess people of your IQ and above could answer that for me.

But then, how can you when your intelligence could not fathom the meaning of rights.

The Video is fake.
The size of the signboard in relative to the perspective when the bus is coming and branching off is not real. It easily gives it away. The signboard is also too white and the text, too sharp in relative to the distance between the bus and the camera.

Definitely, it was not done by the FG. Probably, it was done by Nigerians in London who support him tongue

However, even if it was real, it is not a new thing in politics. In the west, companies and individuals sponsor campaigns for politicians.

Look at how a 3 hour shady job has corrupted your minds and brought out the worst in you. Now imagine what the media has been doing to you all these while. Now ask yourselves, "shouldn't i be ashamed of myself. Shouldn't I be ashamed that i can show nothing for my education"

Say no to ignorance. Get educated Nigerians cool

You don't want war but you want people to join the army and for the army to fight against insurgents.

If there comes an invasion from outside recognized forces, you'll still run.
When then will you fight for your right.

This is simple, we do not want peace, we want equal right and justice. If you cannot give it to us, then let us go our own way.
How is that beating the drums of war?

Peace is an occurrence of harmony characterized by lack of violence, conflict behaviors and the freedom from fear of violence. Commonly understood as the absence of hostility and retribution, peace also suggests sincere attempts at reconciliation, the existence of healthy or newly healed interpersonal or international relationships, prosperity in matters of social or economic welfare, the establishment of equality, and a working political order that serves the true interests of all.

I raised other issues in that write-up. Did you read it? Did you see those pictures OP posted? Have you watched MACHINE GUN PREACHER? Which is a true story of war in Sudan? I'm not here to throw tantrums. Think about those that loves you and those you love.

I do not understand why you think i was trying to attack you. I just asked a question which everyone has been avoiding.

I am not supporting war, but i would be very myopic if i do not recognize and accept that war is already here.
You people are saying no one should start a war, but could not realize that we have been fighting war in Nigeria since time immemorial.

Your efforts are totally misdirected as it should be how to stop the war going on already.

The pictures OP posted is nothing. If you see and experience what is going on the North and the rural communities, then you'll really understand what am saying.

Our loved ones are already dying, what other kind of war death are you looking for before you accept that there is war in Nigeria?

denass16: No I haven't submitted my passport and supporting docs. That is done at VFS, right? That is d stage I am. I went there on friday to have my biometrics captured, submit my passport, printed app and other supporting docs. That is where my passport was rejected because of a colouration caused by moisture at the lower part of my photograpah.
Well, here is my advise. The reality here is that you must get a new passport, and doing it now would take away future headaches.
So, if possible, call UKVI on Wednesday morning and lay out your problem, JUST TO GET THEIR OPINION.

Go to immigration office afterwards and get a new passport. You'll definitely get it the same day.
Call your school and lay out the issue so that they would update your CAS or issue you a letter, notifying the UKBA that they're aware of the issue.

I know ATAS takes so much time, but you can actually try to update it or just leave it as is.

While submitting your application and biometrics, write a letter informing the UKBA of the issue and state both of your passport numbers, clearly indicating to them the new one that they should stamp.

Submit both passports with your application

BTW, 22nd September is enough time as you still have almost 2months

denass16: No, it is not rejected. However, the visa appliction has already been done with my passport no. I presume a new one will have a different no. and which means the CAS, ATAS, TB cert, admission letter I will submit as supporting docs will all carry a different no. I am meant to leave before 22 sep. with obviously no time to get all those for the new passport (if it is even possible)

P.S. the 'supervisor' at the Abuja office was so unfriendly she offered no possible solution. In fact when i went to explain my situation to her after being referred by a lady on the counter, she responded without even looking at my passport (which i had displayed when i was explaining)
You're confusing me a bit. You have applied for VISA, but have you completed the application by submitting your docs and biometrics?

If you have, and then UKVI sent back your passport and asked for a new one, then you do not need to update the docs with the new passport number.
You can do that later with your school.

I see lots of taunts, hate and tribal bigotry displayed on nairaland, and many think they are catching fun, But i think they fail to understand that discourse especially involving politics, ethnicity and religion on sites like nairaland, and many others is a mould for the voice of the youths and the people on the streets, it might appear like harmless fun, but the more it spreads, taking into cognisance this age of social media and broadcast channels, one day , a seemingly detached event will trigger it. An assassination of a buhari or jonathan in the current heated up polity might be the trigger of a civil war.

oluwafestus: Pls no vex o, what is ur definition of WAR?
Why i go vex, i am here for a mature debate cool

War is an organized and often prolonged conflict that is carried out by states or non-state actors. It is generally characterised by extreme violence, social disruption and economic destruction. War should be understood as an actual, intentional and widespread armed conflict between political communities, and therefore is defined as a form of political violence or intervention. The set of techniques used by a group to carry out war is known as warfare. An absence of war is usually called peace.

From wikipedia

This is the definition of peace
Peace is an occurrence of harmony characterized by lack of violence, conflict behaviors and the freedom from fear of violence. Commonly understood as the absence of hostility and retribution, peace also suggests sincere attempts at reconciliation, the existence of healthy or newly healed interpersonal or international relationships, prosperity in matters of social or economic welfare, the establishment of equality, and a working political order that serves the true interests of all.

masqot: War is not something we should wish for. Who suffers at the end of the day? The common man who has nowhere to run to. Remember, all economic and commercial activities come to a halt. When you have money, there would be nowhere to buy. If there is, at a very high rate. Let's think twice before we call for war. Young ones on this thread should be very careful because; Everybody witnesses the beginning of war, only few live to see the end. I've witnessed two tribal wars in my life and it's not easy. We had house, we couldn't sleep. Food, you wouldn't be able to eat. You won't be able to go, if you have food in your farm (I mean the way to a money-venture is a no-go area). You and your siblings split, if you are privilege to find your way out, not knowing whether you'll meet again.
Mhen! pray for this country o. Pray for our leaders to do the right thing. Leadership is our problem in this country. I mean right from the home front. A father that's bias and cannot assert his authority in dealing with his children and wives will come home everyday to settle one problem or the other.
We must realize who our enemies are and face them. Lest we forget, Nigeria is a Federation. There would be agitations because we all have different 'background'. Negotiation and reconciliation is a continuous process.
God bless Nigeria.
Is this not happening now?
Or is it because you're not experiencing it?
